Windy Wednesday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Windy Wednesday!

Looks like a hurricane outside! Palm trees are practically blowing sideways! Poor things look like they are getting shredded! Luckily, it is coming from the northwest so not as much dust from that direction. Not a good day to be outside either way tho. I need to clip cat claws today. That is always fun! NOT!!

It is early (7:30am) and I am sure the dogs across the street will be barking soon! She takes them out about this time every morning. Altho maybe she is afraid they will blow away in this wind! Lol! (Spoke too soon! I hear them now!!)

I did peruse Amazon last night and there are some awesome deals on things on my RV list, like the new Jackery (and solar panel) that charges up in less than 2 hours, is $1000K off!! Too bad I can't afford it now. Some smaller things aren't discounted enough to be worth getting now and others are things that I am not sure I will need yet. Black Friday/Cyber Monday isn't that far away so maybe I will be ready to buy stuff then. So no orders this time.

Have a good day!

Good morning! We got measurable rain last night! Starts our annual rain season. Breezes moving trees, and clouds moving through.
I was very excited to see a group of 4 beautiful Western Bluebirds land at my feeder and bird bath station a few min ago! Have heard there are blue birds here, but had not seen one! A new entry for my bird journal.
Plan for today includes a walk, change to jeans, then off to Costco and Walmart for fuel for car and humans!
Have a good day everyone!

Good afternoon!

We went from cloudy, drizzly to a beautiful day. Only low 60s. I was brave and took the Sling to get a haircut and the hearing aids. Got my hair cut and wondered why I got it so early because I had over an hour to kill. Got a call at 2:20 - appointment was at 2, not 3 that I had on my mind! My bad.

Barbie, I sympathize with you about the dogs! I heard the one across the way all the way into my bedroom this morning! Got my coffee, put music on, but I had to have it so loud, I ended up being jittery! I went out to uncover the Sling, a car pulls up, a woman gets out and I hear her say, 'You are in so much trouble!' Manager or someone must have called her to come home!

Hope you have all had a good day!

Barbie, don't buy too much until you really get an RV. I thought I had to have a melamine or other plastic set of dishes, and some matching glasses. I got them and they lasted about 6 months until I realized paper plates and bowls were a lot easier and stuff in glasses spilled. I now use only adult-type non-spill water bottles and other plastic bottles or cups with lids. I also tossed my toaster because I hardly ever toasted bread and discovered my griddle did a better job of toasting bread and I could use it for several functions. Ditto for the small coffee pot for guests. If they want coffee, they can use instant or bring their own pot!

One thing I did buy more of were paring knives because I do dishes only once a day and always needed a clean knife. I also bought and constantly use my nesting pan set.

Once you buy a rig, just start out with old stuff and plan on buying stuff on the road as you decide you really need it.

Yesterday I took my son to his appointment in Baton Rouge and didn't get home until after 9:00. I told him to not let them give him a late appointment again. I hate to drive on the interstate and especially at night. We hit the afternoon traffic jam and had to just crawl over the Mississippi Bridge with 4 lanes of traffic. Tomorrow his appointment is at 10:00 so I have to get up at 5:00. I sure hope all this helps him.

It was raining when I got up this morning and it kind of misted and drizzled all day but I only got a half inch. I will sure be glad when the burn ban is over but we will have to get more rain than this.

I was taking a back road to Lafayette the other day and saw a group of trees that had turned a pretty red. I have no idea what kind of trees but they were big. Most of our trees are evergreens so don't see much fall color.

Barbie, I agree with Judy, don't buy too much RV stuff until you see what you
will really use. You won't have much room to store it.

I put stuff in my Amazon cart and wait until I have enough so I get free shipping. I usually forget what's in there. Sometimes I decide I don't need it. They will email if there is a price change.

Sheila, glad you made it back safe from you trip and got to visit your family and friends. I get all kinds of spam emails. Sometimes they say they are from companies or banks you know. Don't ever click on an attachment on one of these emails. If you have a question look up the company's phone number and call them direct. They are always telling me they renewed some service I don't have or that my apple account is frozen which I don't have. I just delete them. Hope you catch your mouse. If I was closer I would lend you a cat. lol

I think my humming birds have started to head South. Last week I had 3 or 4 fighting over the feeder. Yesterday and today I have only seen one.

Barbie, I agree with Judy and Martha. Other than the absolute must haves (sewer hose, for example) don't get what others say you need. And you'll even cook differently. So really minimize it all to begin with. And think twice or three times when you think you want/need something.

Yesterday morning I woke up to it 33 outside. Tomorrow it'll be 52. It's that time of year with changes like this daily. I'm in bed now and going to try to get to sleep soon. I lost another piece of my tooth today. I bought the strongest Oragel yesterday and it's really helping. I'm thinking I'll be in Texas in 2 weeks or a little less. So after work tomorrow I'll call and see if I can get a dentist appt for that Thursday or Friday.

before I forget Judy I was going to mention something to you yesterday... on highway 89 in or close to the town of Willard Utah is a place that sells sour pie cherries... totally forgot about them when you were looking as they have been there forever but I don't recall the name of the place they are on the west side of the highway if that helps  they also sell cherry juice I think one can only get so much information when driving by  I don't know if this will be a help to you in the future or not but now I can forget it
My mom is staying with my brother not my daughter... the problem with that is that he has a disabled daughter and she has to go to Salt Lake City for some procedure every 6-8 weeks which creates a big problem and even if we work that problem out mom wants to be in her home... as do I I'd love to go to Q but I really don't want to go for just a month... its almost 900 miles 3 days and 2 nights to get there and the same back right now I have a 5th wheel that I need to have work done on before I go so I know that it will make it or be ready to meet up with the mobile mechanics when I do get there...
I planned on having my e-mail printed of at brothers but he is going to bring mom here... was going to be tomorrow but I told him I was going to be at daughter's for the afternoon so he decided to come on Friday ... I'm still not unpacked still have some stuff in the car need to give up Murder she wrote and go do something
there was two new shows on Hallmark murders and mysteries shouldn't have sat down but did had a hard time going and making supper had a tuna fish sandwich tasted really good
mom doesn't like tuna
I am going to go to the bank on possibly Monday. I am hoping the one regarding bank is spam the other pretty sure it is but there is also the possibility of stolen Identity don't want to go through that at all
went to the store and got some food didn't get what I would have as I thought I'd be gone for a couple of days... so need to rethink some meals
I'm enjoying my hair it feels so light and I've had even strangers come up to me and say how they like the color in my hair...
need to be over to dd's at noon tomorrow... eldest dd and I are going to toss stuff over the balcony that is if there is a container to toss stuff into... last night there wasn't
I need someone to tell me some of the finer aspects of the car there are some things I'm not sure where to find and last night coming over the pass was so scary...
you all have a great night

a car pulls up, a woman gets out and I hear her say, 'You are in so much trouble!'

Anita, I thought she was saying that to you!

The dogs are little ones and when they bark all together is sounds like a dog fight happening! Just lots of panicky barking and yipping! The woman's daughter who has the dogs, her husband is here too and is working on fixing up 3 park models. Two belong to her mom and one belongs to a neighbor/friend of theirs. All will be rentals so they want to get them fixed up for the season. So until he is done with all that, I have to put up with the dogs. I think he is almost done tho, fingers crossed!

Most of what I find on Amazon goes onto one of my lists. There are a few things I know I will need/want but most of it is a wait-and-see type thing. If something I know I need/want is on sale for a really great price, I will get it, like the little 6X6 screen room I bought awhile back. I know I need to wait on most things because it depends on what the RV might come with already and how much/what type of storage it has (like for containers, etc) and the layout, etc. For now it is mostly "window" shopping. :D
