Thank you, all for the birthday wishes. The evening before we had an impromptu family gathering. Both boys, dil , granddaughter and my sister and brother-in-law were here. So, on actual birthday I just took it easy. It's the last year of my seventies but everyone seems to enjoy coming here so I guess I will be hosting as long as I am capable, but the menu has become easier and not so many sides served now.

RitaMC, I certainly understand simplifying celebration meals! It was my elder son, who lives with me, who suggested, after his Dad died, that we simplify meals, saying it was so I could enjoy the day more! I'm glad you had a nice celebration! Happy Birthday!
