Sunny Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Saturday

It is cool and sunny here in Ohio, and I am going out for a walk soon to take some photos of this state park where I stay often. Then I will post them.

Got my three loads of laundry done yesterday. Today's task is to get my new printer out and try to find out why I am having problems printing. I think I need to load new software. More later.

Good morning!

Martha, sounds like you need a vacation from your vacation! :) Sheila, glad to hear you are thinking about a couple days to veg! Beth, I certainly don't have a good idea of the time of year - hadn't thought about end of camping season!

Shirl, I keep thinking about you leaving the bird woman behind. :D I am really trying here, but now along with the elephant and 5 year old upstairs there's a barking dog across the way and slamming doors! It was all nice while it lasted. Playing lots of music which is a good thing! I ran into my upstairs neighbor from the last place at the grocery store yesterday. They got neighbors from heck both above and below them and are wishing they had moved.

I got my 2nd shingles shot yesterday - price jumped in 2 months! I really goofed by not comparing online again. Arm is just a little sore this time.

Hope you are all having a good day!

Looked at 10 day forecast and, finally, not a day reaching 90° ahead! Good thing as I have a very busy two weeks ahead between set up for Holter heart recorder to rule cardiac issue out, visit from my AC/heat people to make sure ready to switch to heat mode, son Chris to his psychiatrist for recheck, echocardiogram thursday (again to prove my oxygen issue is not cardiac but pulmonary), then allergist Friday. The next week, rechecks with pulmonary and cardiologist plus both of us for dental recheck and cleaning. A friend wants to take me out for birthday lunch but it's tough finding a single day! On the other hand, it means I can celebrate all month!
On the real bad news, then good news side. Went to check Night Owl, in anticipation of a weekend trip to Redding, about 3 hrs north west to attend Win Tun tribe annual PowWow, and discovered RV dead- no power to house or engine- strange with 228 w solar on roof and new batteries front and rear in 2019- each with 60 mo warranty (last sets same brand lasted 11 years for engine and 9.5 on house batteries). Got in contact with AM Solar And tech Steve called me. Since I can't just drop by (600 miles north), he offered to talk myself and handyman through some checks. But Sean was out of town. So Steve said, yes it's safe to plug your 20 amp back up cord (which I have never needed in summer) into NightOwl and see if it will charge. Even the solar monitor panel is dead if batteries down or, of course if it had failed. So I dragged the heavy cable from under my bus, to NightOwl, and plugged in. Heard the click as power connected. Checked to be sure all was well inside and out and left it overnight. Got out there yesterday and unplugged cord. Stepped in - fan back running, solar panel lit, both house batteries back to normal and engine starts! Hooray. Now to figure out if one AGM has a issue, as only one was low when I first plugged in. Or if it was all just a fluke of my neglect while going through this very tough summer! Meanwhile, if all goes well, my good friend Linda and I will convert the sofa back to two twins and get Night Owl cleaned up and ready to roll out Friday October 6 for the weekend ! Karen and Ann and Laura will remember our weekend at Pow Wow in Redding in 2019. Same place, but we are staying at the Casino RV park this time! keep fingers crossed that batteries stayed up and no other issues! Tomorrow afternoon may be bath time for NightOwl.
Have a safe and good weekend everyone.

I haven't accomplished anything today. Laundry isn't done. Ride not taken. I did start watching a show I didn't know about and have give through about 4 episodes. Yes, I'm a slug. I have gotten Ty out for a couple walks at least. And I made a very good lunch using the mixture I put together yesterday from the about to go bad stuff from the store. I air fried a small piece of chicken and added more hot sauce to some of that mixture and smothered the chicken. It turned out great. I'll figure something else out to use it again tomorrow, and look forward to having the bags in the freezer at other times.

Velda, I'm glad you got things working but it's always dangerous when the batteries get to y low, so keep an eye on them. If you'll be with hookups, there shouldn't be a problem. Have a great trip. You deserve it.

Anita, I feel for you with the neighbors. I hope it gets better. Fingers crossed. I know we all are happy about Shirl leaving the bird lady behind to new neighbors.

I binge watched the entire season one of the US version of The Traitors today and truly enjoyed it. I'm glad to see there will be a season two. And I saw another countries version available to watch and will probably watch it, too. I found it very entertaining.

My dd told me about a town in MN that I should go see right on the way thank you all for telling me where to find it... a cute town with a big statute .... was a fun stop off the freeway went on to Rochester found a room at Super 8 so staying here two nights... I've tried not to travel on Sunday's so was a good time to chill out ... got here about I don't know what time read my scriptures counted my stitches still off pulled out the row again and counted that row it had 126 which is off by one but I'm not overly concerned about that although I might go pull it out and see if the issue is the row I had to slip in a new skein get it back to the 27 still not seeing where I've gotten off at least 2 only counted 24 just bugging me but I did get some done on the Swedish Weave I'm about 1/4 th done on the second end then the sides which won''t take long... my crochet afghan has taken a back side... :( but no time line on it the scarf I want to finish and give to my niece when I see her later .... decided that I want to go down the river road not sure if the East side of it or the West side... I love the river roads when I can do them ...
my oxygen levels have been good except this morning it was so smoky that it sent the level down then back up but it was like 88 or so... so used the oxygen while in the car driving till the skies cleared and the clouds where high...
you all have a great day

Good evening. Had a busy day up here in the Salem area staying with Laura. We had the best BBQ lunch downtown Salem. It is such an old beautiful city with old restored houses and so many trees. I dont like driving in that town but I was a passenger so got to gawk at everything. Going to meet a couple of RV friends up here for a convention tomorrow for breakfast. Then will head home and give Laura some peace and quiet. She lives in a country mobile home park complete with a close encounter tonight with a skunk. Grabbed the dogs and threw them inside as they both went running over that way. Whew dodged a bullet. I will head home tomorrow and resume my usual routine. Power at my house went out shortly before I was heading to Laura's. Didn't need to start my new generator as I was ready to go anyway so just moseyed up the freeway to her house. Always fun to visit with her.

Anita, you are right I need a vacation from my vacation. My ankles are puffy and that's not usual for me. Maybe too much sitting and driving. I would like to go to the lake but hate to ask my neighbor to feed again. Maybe in a week.

When I was looking at condos and apartments my main concert was neighbors. Sorry you have noisy neighbors. Shirl, was nice to not complain about the bird lady. Her new neighbor might not put up with her mess.

Washed two loads of clothes and mowed the lawn. It is nice to be outside and not be so hot. I need to start walking again now that it's not so hot. Every time I turned the TV on today there was football. Joy, joy!

I didn't take anything out to cook tomorrow so guess Ill just keep eating odds and ends. I had an egg roll and rice dressing for lunch and a crawfish pie for supper.

Hello Velda.

I remember the GTG with you and Karen and Laura (and Laura's Mom, I think?) with much fondness (I think Sandi visited for a short time too, if I remember correctly?). It was a fun time, a good time had by all, and one of the best GTG's I ever had the pleasure to attend.

Velda, I hope you and your friend have fun at the Pow Wow, and that you have no further problems with your electrical system.

I'm thinking I must get myself up to my favorite California volcano soon - Medicine Lake Volcano - sometime this Autumn, before the snow flies.

Thanks for the memories.
