Tuesday, Sept. 12th

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday, Sept. 12th

Good Morning from the chilly 45th. It’s cloudy and 57°. That’s about as high as we are going today. Supposed to be today. Some scattered showers.

Got some good news at Molly’s vet appt. yesterday. . Her eyes are improving. So something’s working. No more appts. till October 4th. My bank account can have a rest now

BJ, I agree with you in shoes. I’m keeping mt Orthofeet ones. Want to call and find out about the insulation rating in the winter boots. Shelia, have you got your route figured out now?

I see Lee is heading north toward New England. Looks like it will miss Shirl’s area, not sure about Peggy’s. Stay safe gals, never know about those crazy things. Tropics are really active right now too.

Decided I’m going to take a ride to Petoskey this morning. Am going in a go for a ride mood, just for a change of scenery. About an hour away. Will hit Hobby Lobby and Meijer, stop for lunch and head home. Kind of on a time schedule since Molly will need that afternoon drop. So better get cleaned up, out of jammies Into street clothes, get these two fur kids pottied and hit the road. Have a nice day everyone.

Good morning Sue and everyone who follows. Thank you for your concern about my safety. We are keeping an eye on Leo. I’m hoping it keeps to the north as I have plans to visit the NY Botanical Garden with some friends on Saturday. This will be our third attempt to see the special exhibit. We have been having daily thunderstorms with lots of rain, but the sun is shining this morning. I’m going to get my flu shot today and hopefully two weeks later I will get the new Covid shot. I want to get the Covid shot before I leave for Mexico via Denver on October 7th. Enjoy today. Peggy

Chilly this morning 49 but will heat up to 81 so zero complaints from me. Sue have fun today, I like short road trips. That is why I dont mind going North to Laura's house or south to my other friends place. I usually stay a couple of days when I go. Only a couple hours or so to go either place. Sheila will be hitting the road soon but she is on a long trip LOL have fun Sheila. Peggy home the storm misses you and you have a great time in Mexico.

I am still having my coffee. Slept good last night so think I am caught up on my sleep. Not sure what is on my agenda this morning. Have a phone appt with my Rheumatologist this afternoon. It was supposed to be the end of next week but he is going to be out of town so asked if I could do it today........sure. So will have that over with. So instead of 4 medical appts next week I am down to 3 wahoo. Monday I go to a "wellness clinic" at my primary's office. Not sure why but they called to schedule it a couple months back, I think it is just a spot check of her patients, maybe her partners too heck I dont know I just said OK when they called. Tuesday a dermatology appt and Friday my usual eye injections. My calendar has drastically changed from fun things to necessary things BAH I have an appt with my primary first week of November for my labs and flu shot, etc Bright spot is I am going up to Lauras this weekend so we shall have a good visit. Also having breakfast with a couple of RV friends passing thru on their PNW month long road trip. After breakfast I will head home.
Henry will be on the job this morning and I shall dust my bedroom. I think I forgot to dust in there last week so might just dust the rest of the house while I am at it. Well I am off for some breakfast soon and then get busy doing something LOL

Sounds like it is cooling down for some of you who live in hot places. This part of northern Ohio is also cooler to the point where I have had to run my electric heater for a few minutes at night. Mostly today it is raining, however. Might rain tomorrow, but less of a chance.

Need to run some errands, but putting them off until tomorrow since my rig is clean and I don't want it to get dirty, so watching TV and catching up on some housekeeping.

Peggy I hope the storm misses you and that you have a wonderful trip. Sue I'm happy to hear Molly's eyes are improving. Karen sounds like you have a busy calendar. Judy glad to hear the cooler weather.

The news around here has been about a local missing woman that wandered away from her home. The way she was found is really amazing. Here is part of the story they posted on FB.

"A woman named xxxxx messaged me on Facebook.
She asked to “friend” me. She had read my post or heard from someone else on social media about Jan being lost.
I accepted her request along with multiple other requests since my mother-in-law went missing.
She proceeds to message me about her friend in another country who is a medium. Her friend asked to see a picture of Jan. After seeing the picture, the medium circled a small area on a map where she believed Jan to be lying in an area with some grass. She thinks Jan has a hurt leg and is extremely dehydrated.
I texted my husband and sister-in-law this information. They looked at the map and took a walk from my mother-in-laws house to the area on the map and FOUND my mother-in-law. She is alive and receiving care."

BJ, that is quite a story! Glad they found her!

Sue, glad to hear Molly is feeling and getting better! Always good to see our furbabies feeling good again and getting healthier, even if it is costly.

Nothing much happening here. Just worked today. Was a pretty slow day but that works well for me so I can sit down and put my leg up for a few minutes in between haircuts. Tomorrow I work with the new lady. I think we will get along well.

Across the street from my park is a large open area, several acres of just bare sand between us and the casino. Well, with all the rain we have had recently, I was very surprised this morning to see that it was green! :o Little green plants growing all across the area! I have not seen that in the 4 years I have lived here.

The fast food workers have been pushing for an increase in their wages for the past couple years (because the high school kids that work there can't afford to live on the current minimum wage  ) and it looks like they will finally get what they wanted. Starting next year, all fast food workers in CA will get a minimum wage of $20 per hour! I just can't believe that! If they get that, then all workers should get the same minimum wage as well. That is $4.50 above what the regular minimum wage is here. I can only imagine how high the cost of fast food will be once that takes place. It will be cheaper to go to a regular sit-down restaurant! I already pay almost $10 at Taco Bell for a couple tacos with no drink! And that is one of the cheaper places to eat out here.

Need to get to bed. I was so tired today and I took a nap when I got home and I am still tired!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I made it to the rv park Monday at 1:00 which was the check in time. I am usually late getting on the road. There are 20 coaches and 38 people. That's about half the size of the rally I went to in New Orleans. Yesterday we toured a cotton plantation and two Mansions. The plantation was some operation. They had their own cotton gin. We had lunch at a restaurant at the first mansion. The food was good but the wait staff didn't look like they were very happy to be serving us. I don't think they are usually open for lunch. We had a catered dinner last night and a catered breakfast this morning. I don't know where they find the caterers but like in New Orleans, not the best. Guess I am spoiled by the ones we have at home.

More later, I have to go to a meeting.
