Maybe wet Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Maybe wet Wednesday

Good morning all. Rain is in the forecast for the next few days but so far it has passed us by according to the radar map I looked at a while ago. But it will probably hit us at some point. Definitely cooling down. Shelia, as Karen said it sounds like a TENS unit. I got one from Amazon for not a lot of money and use it fairly often on my back. No as powerful as the one the chiropractor has in the office but helps in between appointments when my back muscles start tightening up. Mine uses batteries. Barbie, sounds like the deal is one to walk away from as others here have suggested. Something better will happen for you to sell. And not with all the conditions! Judy, sure hope the bites don’t give you a lot of problems. Not much happening here, school starting in a few days so for sure signaling the end of summer! GD is being transferred to rehab up a floor from where she’s at now. I imagine they still want to keep an eye on her before she’s ready for a transfer to the local rehab. Plus where she’s at now burn patients are all they deal with and not in a general rehab. We’re all anxious for her to be closer but for now this sounds to be the best for her progress. Well, I probably should get Buddy out for a walk before the rain starts, if or when! Glad all you California gals are safe and hope the storm doesn’t cause to many problems for the rest that might be in its path. Have a good day and stay safe.

Finished my watering, weather is going to be 85 today. I will take it. Watered my inside plants also, it has been a while LOL Nothing much on my agenda today, a little meal prep but need to start using up the stuff in my freezer. Good grief I have it stuffed. Also will need to clean out my pantry....soon.

Bought a nice small watermelon yesterday. Makes for a good low cal snack in the afternoon. So cut that up this morning. Made some breakfast and now ready to start my day.

Was woken up earlier to noise outside my bedroom. It was the guys to fix my window. I know they are super busy right now with all the stuff around here that needs fixing so I wasn't upset that they didn't make it the other day.

They caulked around the whole window, every piece of trim around it, and then some. No rain will ever come in that side of the house! Took a little chunk out of my pocket, but worth it.

Still need to fix my shed door but no hurry on that. I can do that after work or tomorrow.

I am working today from 12 to 6 and then no work until Saturday. Still a little drowsy from the pill I took last night. While I was standing outside watching the guys work, I could feel some pain in my sciatica starting up, so not sure how well those pills will work anyways. BJ suggested B-12 tablets which I will try. I will also find my TENSs unit and see how that works.

It is a sunny, clear blue sky this morning with lower humidity, and a light breeze.

Have a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good Morning, Sharon it sounds like the plan they are doing for your GD is a good choice. I hope she continues to improve. Could you send some of your cool weather this way please! It is 10:30 here and the heat index is already 100 as the humidity is 75% and dew point is 78. No relief until Saturday when it drops to 93. :( Thankfully I have people scheduled for hypnosis/reiki almost everyday either online or in person so that really helps with passing the time. I just don't get out unless it's an emergency as heat bothers me so much. I was working with a woman here yesterday and she took her shoes off when she came in. Pippa who takes a long time to be ok with someone took full advantage of the bare foot situation. As soon as the woman went into hypnosis Pippa moved in to lick her toes. I've had other dogs who were into toes but not as much as this one. She's so funny, this morning the trainer came to pick up Emma which she hasn't done since Pippa was really little. I think Pip thought she was kidnapping Emma, I had to pick her up and hold her she was freaking out and barking so much.
Karen I wish i had your motivation to plan meals ahead and keep up with cleaning and organizing. Barbie I'm happy to hear you ordered the B12 and remember you will have to take it for a little while for it to start to work. Also yay for getting the window fixed.
I hope every one has a good day.

BJ, well I like to eat and I know what I like so dont mind fixing it. Most of the meals I make are very easy, nothing fancy If I am going to cook I like to cook enough for several meals or two servings I like to freee some meals so I just have to add a veggie or salad etc I keep up with cleaning by just doing something each day. Sometimes it is a big cleaning project and other days it is just small stuff, but it all adds up. I find if my house is kept basically clean I can take a day off here and there. Today will clean the bathrooms. Consists of toilet swishing, counter and sink clean up, towels in laundry BAM done. When I swiffer the kitchen floor (after cooking) I will also do the bathroom floors tomorrow...again DONE. I am not that motivated trust me, but I do like my house clean and tidy. Next week will be some carpet shampooing, that is one of my bigger chores. I have to work in the mornings because after lunch I really am done.
I bought a roasted chicken at Costco yesterday, we had it for dinner. Today I will slice some off for Emma and freeze some packs for her dinner. I am making enchiladas today. Chicken (last of the meat removed friom chicken ) Chicken and Chicken soup, sour cream, green chilis, some jalapenos in a bowl. Mix. Fill flour tortillas with the mixture, cover with remaining sauce and cheese, bake.......DONE then I can freeze in individual servings.
Barbie glad you got your window all fixed up. The shed looks pretty easy fix for you. Sue, send some rain showers my way. We will be a while before we get any rain. Oh well it is getting closer to fall. We have lots of fires going on here, some big some not so big. The firefighters are on it with dozers, air support (retardent) helicopers with water buckets. Smoke jumpers landed yesterday and a fellow got a video of them, AMAZING is the only word I have. Nothing close to me tho.....whew I just get the smoke, but not too bad out right now.

I just pulled one of my pressure cooker meals out of my freezer and some shrimp (also precooked in freezer) and between those I'll have 3 meals by adding salad and/or veggies. And my freezer is still too full lol

I just checked temps. Feels like is 113 (very humid) and I have to walk Ty before work. I'm not sure why I took a shower. Yesterday after work (walking Ty at 8:30 pm,) the feels like was still over 100. Friday afternoon sometime we should be getting some relief. I'm so grateful my AC is working. I'm afraid of how hard it's having to work.

I have the scarf about half done... yea!!!then back to the scarf I am making for who knows although now I do know.... my niece hoping to see her when I go on my road trip I have two nieces that live in Neb same town so told my niece if I do one for her will need to so one for the other niece but I won't make it till she picks out the yarn she is soooo picky when it comes to colors when I made her afghan I fretted over the colors she likes purple and I had the hardest time choosing the right combo I really don't know if she likes it not sure she ever said.. my other niece loves hers she fessed up the other day (I've made each of my siblings a Swedish Weave) said she stole her parents Swedish Weave as she loves it I'm sure she appreciates it more than the brother does... and her mother had passed away a few years ago so really don't feel bad that she has it... and I sent a picture of the scarf in progress she loves it and the color so it's a win win
have to laugh at mom the other day when dd was here we were sweltering cause of the heat and she goes and turns off the fan guess she wasn't hot... tonight it's cooler actually down to 53 and the door is open guess she is hot
actually got up and did a little something on the Swedish Weave... got one end cut off mom was sure looking at me like why is she doing it that way??? I do know before I cut off the other end I need to find a better pair of scissors these just didn't cut well at all think I am going to call dd and see if she will bring her sewing machine over Sunday when she comes over 10 mins and I will have everything done that I need to use a machine on...
I do remember something that I posted in the post that was lost it was for Anne I saw a article of what to do with the tomatoes that aren't good those that have sun spots or cracks in them he said split them in half put them on the ground cut side down and it will provide food for those that need it as well as decay into the ground benefiting the ground as well I'm sure he said it better
you all have a great day

I got my ac fixed yesterday. I wasn't too sure about the crew with all the banging to get the coil replaced. The cats are happy to be cool again.

My truck was ready today so had to go pick up my son so he could help me get the truck home. Two trips to Lafayette made me tired with all the traffic. When I dropped it off to get the ac fixed the service manager wanted to know if there was anything else. I told her that the service engine light was still on but that seemed to be an unfixable problem. She looked at me like I was crazy. I told her to go ahead and check it out. Guess what, the service engine light is still on. That has been a problem with that truck for years. Tomorrow I have to go pick up my trailer.

Louisiana is having fires now. A friend had to evacuate a state park because of a fire. The marsh has been burning for a while. I can smell the smoke sometimes.
