Road Trip Part 5

The 6th night into the trip was spent at Lincoln City in the Oregon State's Devil's Lake CG.

Met this fella (transplant from England) and his Border Collie that was enjoying the water.


Oregon has some fantastic beachs.








Also rugged coastlines.




During storms and high tides places like the Devil's Churn and Devil's Elbow send waves crashing up high over the rocks.

I have no clue where those beautiful beaches were when I was in OR years ago. Perhaps I didn't go far enough south from Portland to see anything but rugged rocky coast lines. I guess I really will need to go back there and check the area out one more time.

Just had lunch (clam chowder and oysters) in Charleston, OR and found a "Mile by Mile" magazine of the OR coast. All the places you've posted are in it. I'm bookmarking a lot, but will have to make some choices or I'll never get out of here . carold

Beautiful pictures. I love that the entire coast of Oregon (Wash. too, I think) is dog friendly.
