Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good day all! Not sure where the morning has gone but here it is noon. I managed to get out just as the rain started yesterday but it wasn’t real heavy and I was in and out of it while I was getting my errands run. And I think it rained a good part of the night too. So a very soggy start to the day. And it’s cool, feeling like a fall day instead of summer. I think I’m starting to sound like a broken record! Wish the furnace guy would get back to me to see what is wrong before I need heat in the house. I’ve about given up on the trainer. Time to maybe look for someone else. I’m debating about going to the farmer’s market in Boalsburg today. I haven’t been for quite awhile, starts at 2 and ends at 6. I always seem to spend way to much when I go to that market. But they have such a variety of vendors it’s hard to resist all the fruits and veggies. Not to mention everything else! So not much else happening today. I still need to get the rv’s battery replaced so really need to get on the ball and get that done before the warranty runs out. Best get to whatever I decide to do. Need to get moving! Have a great day.

Good morning, beautiful cool weather here at the coast. Wise decision on my part coming this week. We booked this a long time ago so just really lucked out with the weather being the hottest so far this summer. We be living right LOL

Decent hotel, nothing fancy. But dang the prices are really high here. The casino wanted $230 a NIGHT. Found this one online then cancelled the Motel 6, not my favorite but this one fits the bill so far. I will move to the Motel 6 for Thursday night, they gave me a room with a micro and fridge and I was going home Thursday morning but Laura and I are staying until Friday so had to move, no biggie. The weather will be 92 aat home nd going down after Friday, at least for a while. Is really fun to get out of town, escaping the heat was just a bonus LOL

Afternoon All, same old weather. Life has really slowed down so not much to post. I go in spells reading. Read for weeks then not for months. #1 daughter recommended a series written by an author who lives on the shore and the mysteries take place here too. Just finished the second book so sent the following text about the book to my daughter. Grace is an airhead, first she sleeps with a killer and then she cuddles with a jerk, is she in all the rest of the books? Problem is I sent text to wrong daughter and she thought I was talking about #1 daughters coworker, Grace. A great belly laugh after we straightened out the mistake. My family dealing with a 87 year old. Bless their little puddin hearts. Lol. Be safe

Oh, Shirl, that is hilarious! Needed a good laugh!

Velda, sorry you are dealing with more issues. Karen, motels are so expensive, but I've decided I can't take it with me! Enjoy that coolness and the company! Sharon, I keep meaning to mention your granddaughter and how hard it is to see them go through such journeys. My granddaughter diagnosed with Crohn's disease at 14 has been a trouper and still dealing with issues 10 years later. Beth, glad you could get together with Linda. Funny you had mentioned ordering glasses online because the kids asked me about that last night. Martha, I don't remember what I was doing the other day, but I had to sit with the fan blowing on me - think I even had the a/c on. My last electric bill was under $30 so cheap electricity here.

103 and climbing here. Thank you for the well wishes for my brother. Since he is in a hospital now run by someone else, I have no MyChart to follow and it's driving me nuts! He told my sister-in-law he'd let her know when to come and that's driving me nuts! She should be there so she'd know what's going on, but quite frankly, I don't think she realizes what's at stake here.

Karen, I envy your trip to the coast.

I just checked the temp here, 111* at 4:30 p.m. Prediction was for 95*.

I need to walk a bit every day. It was 84* when I got up at 7:30 a.m., probably will be 90* by midnight.

I just can't bear to go outside in these kinds of temps, let alone take a brisk walk. And I actually love walking.

Well, at least we haven't had any large fires here in my extended area. Knock wood.

That's good for something. Those poor people in Maui are going through hell.

Did my last load of laundry for a while since I am headed to Ontario tomorrow morning. Going to be a longer drive than I like, but I want to make it to the campground. Also cleaned out a couple of drawers and tossed some stuff. Lots of little gnats around here at dusk and in the evening, so I wish I could find the second little ultraviolet light that I put somewhere. They really work, but I'd like a second one on especially buggy nights if I go outside and they sneak in through the door.

On the way back from downtown Cleveland the other day, I stopped at a famous deli that specializes in huge corned beef and pastrami sandwiches. What I did was have the kids drop me off and i ran in and bought a pound of pastrami. So today, I put it in little one-sandwich-sized ziplock ties and froze them. I had one sandwich tonight and still have enough for five other sandwiches. And of course, as soon as I get into Canada, I will buy some peameal back bacon, which is the real Canadian Bacon. Yum! (It's brined and pickled pork, not the smoked ham stuff sold in the U.S., and it has to be fried.) Makes terrific sandwiches!

of all days to hit stop not snooze I meant to be up and about by at least 10:30 it was almost 11 and the activity started at 12 and a salad to make which turned out really good... I'd never thought of making a watermelon salad let alone with cucumber in it and cheese ... it was so pretty actually took a picture of it... there was some left over my dd and I enjoyed it tonight and there is perhaps another serving left. Mom didn't eat much of it but didn't really surprise me as she doesn't like mint and it had mint in it...
it was beautiful out other than flies couldn't really complain was several ladies there... one even brought the cake I so enjoy... wish I could recall the name I'd highly suggest it... if you see in the bakeries a loaf style cake layered with mousse and something else it might be it... next time I see it will have to make note of the name of it and then if I remember report it...
came home and cleaned up as I didn't have time to do that before leaving chunked up the leftover watermelon the fridge is full of watermelon...
it's good having my dd here have enjoyed it... she will stay tomorrow night then leave Thurs to go back to her house...
need to decide what to fix for supper tomorrow night
the body is tired the mind more so

I had one of my Meetup Meals tonight. We went to a Chili's. There is a Chili's in Abbeville that I haven't been to in over 5 years. The one in Abbeville wasn't run well. The menu has changed some and the food was good. I brought more home than I ate. I needed to do some grocery shopping but wanted to get some things that needed to be refrigerated so I went grocery shopping early and brought it home. I got to Lafayette early so went to Ross's to look around. That store has really gone down. It was a mess. There was one person checking people out and she was arguing with a woman over some little thing she wanted to return. Ross's is next door to Total Wine but stayed out of the wine shop. lol

It had rained in Abbeville when I came thru and I could see lightening to the South. It had hardly rained at home but there was an electrical storm in the bay. I couldn't hear it but could see the lightening. I think that was our only chance of rain for a week.

There is some actress on the Jimmy Kimmel show that has on about the ugliest dress I have seen in a while. I don't know what made her think it looks good. Most of the time the dresses are too short or they are falling out of them.
