Saturday, July 8th

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday, July 8th

Morning all. Cloudy, 57°. 70’s in forecast. Normal for this time of year. After a cloudy and very limited rainfall Thursday, yesterday was a gem. Beautiful blue sky and sunshine, temp in low 70’s. One of those you can see forever across the horizon days. Nice not having any fire smoke the past couple weeks.

Our annual Hazardous Waste recycling Day is today, so will be heading up town in a while here. Bit time consuming as there are so many people who bring stuff. Very efficient system as you stay in your car and drive through while they take out the stuff. But takes time to get to that point as the traffic line is so long. Moves slow but fairly steady. Even if I get there early, I can expect a waiting line there already. Saying goodbye to my old printer and computer today. Have some bug sprays, light bulbs, old plant food, oil etc. to go too.

Started on making the neighbors planter yesterday. Plan to do that today too. Having fun figuring out how to put it all together.

Beth, glad you had some time with Ginger and friends. Alice, like Shirl said, slow but steady does it. Glad you weren’t seriously hurt falling from the ladder. Seems to be a common thing of late. Neighbor near me died from injuries suffered in a fall from a ladder earlier this spring.

Good morning
For those that asked, I have had help. The first week my son came and stayed all week cause I could barely get out of chair, then he came off n on and helped with heavy stuff. I have Jon on the other end to unload. I haven't had to unload anything. I'm now moving around pretty good but still taking it slow. The little foster girl goes back today at 3. I hate to see it happen but she is tearing me up with her sharp claws. She just won't be touched. Had to order a remote for the tv that came with the new place, it arrives today. Bed frame arrives tomorrow and mattress arrives on Thursday. By next weekend I should be sleeping in the new place . Emptied my freezer yesterday, it's thawed and I will clean and dry it out today. Jon will come get it with his truck
Time to get dressed and get outside to empty storage bays. Y'all have a great day.

Good morning, actually another chilly morning and cloudy 54 this morning with a high of 82. Actually perfect weather, it did get a little warm in the afternoon and saw lots of sun. Today should be a repeat. Got my pants and sweatshirt on again this morning but will shed that as it heats up. Doors and windows open letting in the fresh air.
Laundry is on my agenda today, linens and towels and maybe a load of darks. Not sure what else, if anything.
Alice glad to hear you have help, thank goodness. I can imagine trying to move all that yourself. Sorry the pup has to go back but sometimes things just dont work out like we hoped no matter how hard we try. Emma is totally content being an only dog. She gets all the attention and playtime to herself. She also doesn't know any different. She is super sweet, loves to cuddle, be brushed, and minds really well for the most part. I cant seem to break her of jumping up to greet people and they always say they dont mind but I do.

Waiting for new camera mounts then I can get the cameras up, I have them all added to the Homebase and my phone. Still pondering where to put them. My light works good, it isnt super bright as I didnt want to disturb the neighbors but they said no problem, they want to know when if goes off as they are the ones that got their home broken into. John ordered his cameras yesterday they will be here Monday and he said he just might need my help, with the app and hooking them up, not mounting them as I dont do ladders unless I need to. They have lots of young strapping family so they can help mount them. I will get them synced for them, I dont mind doing that. I feel like sort of an expert now LOL LOL

Well off to get the laundry started and get my butt moving.

This day has felt like it has gone on for ever and I have been fairly busy. I went to the farmers market and bought lots of goodies. I hope the cantaloupe I picked out is ripe but I'm giving it another day. It seems like everything is early this year. I love the market because I run into people I haven't seen in a long time and it is fun to catch up. I see the same man every week and we laugh as it is so strange for it to happen so often. We both usually go early but the one Saturday I went later, there he was. I have known him forever but never see him except at the market. This afternoon my neighbor came over for tea and brought treats for the dogs called Fruitables skinny minis and Pippa was absolutely mad for them. I'll have to order her some as I haven't seen them around here.

Karen before long we'll be hearing you have started work as a home technical adviser.

A lot of rain this morning, and then about three hours of quiet, but just when I got my laundry put together and stepped out the door, it started raining again. Had to do laundry today because tomorrow I will be in a site a long way from campground laundromat. Nice thing about Ohio and Florida campgrounds is that all state parks have laundry facilities, which is a lot more convenient than going out to a public laundromat.

My aunt has been doing OK, but she has a crazy older sister who is also in assisted living. Except these two have not gotten along their entire life, and there have been long periods, like years, when this sister has not been talking with my aunt or even members of her own family. Anyway, she is back to making a lot of calls to my aunt and telling her she should go back home instead of staying where she is. She is pretty insistent, partly because she is paranoid and has dementia herself, but it is upsetting my aunt. We are going to have to get the place my aunt is staying to limit or completely block all of these calls. Last thing we need is one crazy old lady with dementia upsetting my aunt!!

Mostly, the last couple of days have been lazy. I did go to Camping World yesterday to pick up a new replacement 30 amp plug and a new water filter, but I am waiting until tomorrow when i will have a larger, full hookup site where I have more room to work on stuff. Ohio replaced about15% of their sites in state parks last year with larger, and less muddy, full hookup sites. Nice to be able to step out your door on cement instead of into a puddle!!

Karen, I thought of our tech talks when I saw this. lol

Didn't do much yesterday or today. I made my squash casserole yesterday. I thought I should have made half the recipe but it's almost gone. It rained 3/4 of an inch this morning. It looked like it might rain more but it never did. The rain is making the grass grow faster. At least it's cooler.

Ava, glad you have help with the move. Hope you don't have lasting problems from your fall.

The days are long around here. The cats and dog keep me moving. There is always one that wants out or in. This months campout is in North Louisiana and I don't feel like driving up there. I went to that campground in January and didn't like it very much. It's built on a big hill and if you don't get a site at the bottom of the hill it's a hard walk.

did go anywhere today talked myself out of the drive... didn't take a lot to do so... put away clothes ... I certainly appreciate my niece doing the laundry so I don't have to do the stairs... if we redo mom's bathroom so it's a walk in shower I'd like to see if we could put a washer/dryer in mom's bedroom that she never uses on the wall that is the shower then that way I could do that once more... but then we could all argue that if I'm going to be here just the summer is it worth it??? I'd be willing to pay for the machine have seen one advertised that may be a good thing... and then when we no longer have the house well either sell it or perhaps one of my kids could use it...
got the indoor plants watered it rained off and on all afternoon so am hoping they got enough moisture naturally ...
Ava am so glad that you are ok meant to mention that last night but so often the brain forgets what it wants to say  I bet you will be excited to have one level to be on...
dd#2 and her husband is coming over tomorrow for supper we are having sour dough pancakes that is if I haven't ignored the start so long that it died we will have sour dough pancakes... it smells right and I would think the oder would be off... we will see
you all have a great day

I know Velda, sometimes I think my computer can read my mind. I can just think about wanting something and it starts coming up on Facebook and emails.
