Good Morning everybody. Smokey and here at the 45th. Temp is 60°. Air smells heavy of burned, charred wood. Remnants of rain is supposed to clear out this afternoon. After two months of barely any rain extreme fire danger etc., Mother Nature has blessed us with much needed rainfall. It varies from area to area, but I think here where I am, we got our whole summers total in two days. My neighbors rain gauge was reading 7 1/4 inches as of last night we had a storm come through here late Sunday afternoon that dropped buckets of rain. My yard was turning into a lake in some places.Once it quit, the ground soaked it up like a sponge. Was followed later in the evening by another deluge. Neighbors gauge showed 4 inches between the two. Lady I know across the highway where I walk, said hers was same. Fortunately we missed the hail a couple miles south and north. We had rain showers late yesterday afternoon and i to to the evening, so it was good. Temps are to be in mid 70’s this week and weekend.
I continued my do nothing time trough Sunday, but got a bit busier yesterday. Trip to credit union and store in the morning , traced pattern on girl’s outfit and have it 3/4 finished. Visited with neighbor for a short while. But today I want to clean house this morning and get that done. Then will go back to craft painting. Have two appts. Tomorrow, one for MOHS in Petoskey which is about 50 miles away. Want to hit Hobby Lobby while I am over there too. So will be gone most of the day. Energizer Bunny batteries are recharged,
Yay Shirl, your lamp is fixed. Now what do we do for fun Anybody else have a problem we can try to solve I8m sure you are happy to have it working again. And you got precious time with your friend too.
“I am having resurrected meatloaf and fresh green beans for dinner and a small salad for lunch.” Karen, I laughed when I read about your mishap. Glad you were able to salvage it. But I’m sure it wasn’t funny at the time. I think we have all got our stories of oven mishaps.
Barbie, I too hope you get your place sold this fall too. Tine to get out of the heat. Be time to list before you know it. Beth, hope you can stay cool too.
Guess I had better get washed up dressed and get started. Sooner I get going, sooner I’ll be done. Have a nice day and stay safe in the smokey areas, storm areas etc.
