Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday

Good morning. Yesterday was a good rain day which we so desperately needed, pretty much all day and wasn’t heavy so hopefully much of it soaked in. And forecasted for more later this evening. At least it cleaned the dust off my car! And I had some running around to do and wasn’t unhappy to do it in the rain. I finally got some wiper fluid for the car since it’s been reminding me that the level is low. So annoying having my car nag me all the time! Anne, you asked what Buddy is and he had a labradoodle mom and some other retriever type as a father. Basically he looks like a yellow lab. Texted the trainer yesterday and I’ll go pick him up this afternoon at 2. She did say he still resists the Halti and “wait”is hard for him. Otherwise is a happy hyper puppy. At least all this is a platform to go forward with one on one training. I’ll know more this afternoon. Leave it to me to get a problem child or pup as the case may be! But we’re stuck with each other so will just have to make this work! He does liven things up, it’s been so quiet this past week and it’s just weird! So now I need to get outside and hopefully the ground is soft enough to be able easily pull some more weeds! So much fun hearing and seeing the flowers since I don’t plan on having any! I do need to get some for the urns yet for out front but that’s it for me. Strawberries are in now so I still want to get to one of the farmers markets to pick up some. Okay, time to get moving and get something accomplished before I get Buddy home. Have a good day and stay safe.

Good Morning Sharon and all. The chill continues. It’s 55° with a real feel of 47°. Needless to say, way below normal. Supposed to warm up by weekend and more sun coming tomorrow.

Just came back from town. Made a quick early morning trip. Dirt is coming this afternoon and need to be here. Neighbor also ordered a couple yards and we told them to add it to my load since they can bring 5 yards at a time. We are splitting the delivery charge. So he will dump my share over here and neighbors over there. But one of us has to be here to show them where to dump and neighbor has a doctor appt., so won’t be here. Hence my early and quick run to town.

Lyn, glad to hear your wound has healed. Hope it warms up so you can get in the pool
Sue, I was thinking your dogs would not be comfortable with plywood outfits.
. Good one Beth.

Sharon, my neighbor has labradoodles and they are hyper. Probably a characteristic of the breed, since most labs I’ve been around are the same. So you got yourself one bundle of energy. As they get older they settle down. Glad you got some rain. We only had roughly a bit under a half inch, but enough to wet things down. Burn permits are being issued for this area currently. But soon as it warms up, we will dry out again.

Think I mentioned that our Mejer was in process of major remodeling. Really nice and almost done. Now our Walmart is doing same. New flooring and changing everything around. Haven’t figured out the layout yet, but think it’s similar to the one I pop into in Houghton Lake. I don’t really like shopping Walmart anyway. Just popped in for some paint markers I needed and a chunk of my favorite Kentucky Legend Ham.

Got the house cleaned yesterday, recycles up to the bins, did a little “poop patrol” as I call it, in the yad, bit f minor bookwork and a walk with the dogs yesterday, so was a good day. Now off to work in woodcrafts.

Thank you, Sharon.

Sounds like his "working breed" genes are coming into play. As we all know, all puppies (of whatever lineage!) are a handful - my current love, Joe (a terrier), came to me as an adult dog, but (even so!) still needed some rough edges smoothed off a bit. Took a while, but well worth the effort.

Hang in there! I'm sure things will get much better as he matures.

Good luck! :D

Good morning, been outside working in the yard changing my hoses around now that my handyman fixed me a faucet I can reach on my deck. It was actually under the deck so I had to get down on my hands and knees just to turn it on. They just cut an opening in the deck and put a huge board over it......nope didnt work for me. So Steve cut a small board that lies flat on the deck now. Raised the faucet so I am all set. I just need to stain the board when I do my second coat of stain. I guess when they built the deck they didnt extend the water. Deep watered and fertilized the tomatoes this morning. It was time for their bone meal LOL

Planted some Marigold seeds so will see if they work or not as they are from last year when I had high hopes of feeling better and working in the yard.......nope. I have other flowers planted in that planter so I dont care if they grow or not but it would be nice if they did LOL
Making ribs for dinner tonight. Probably make some potato salad in a while to go with them. I am still sorting out my freezer as it is pretty darn full and some stuff in there has to go. Will be using the BBQ this week on some pork steaks. Henry just took off for the bedroom, bathroom and dining area. He gets tomorrow off ha ha
I might pause my Youtubetv for the summer as I just dont have time to watch it and all the shows I like wont be back until September so no sense paying for something I am not watching. I do watch more tv in the winter tho. I have Philo and Netflix (just added it) that and all the free channels I am sure will keep me busy. One of my favorites is the ROKU channel and of course Philo (no news, no sports I like it) it is an entertainment platform anyway. I can watch local news on my computer so I am really all set.

Time for a shower and start my day "officially"

Mornin' ladies~~~
Sitting at the Airstream dealer in Portland. Hopefully getting my pantry put back in since it fell out on my last travel day. . I'll be in Washington in the afternoon.

Sharon, I think my heart dog Molly was a doodle before doodles were a thing. She was a rambunctious puppy who i had to take to a behaviorist before her training class started. She was a handful. Similar to a lab, she finally settled down around 2 years old. But she grew into the smartest dog i ever had and was intuitive to people feelings.. she would have been a great therapy dog. I still miss her. Just have to give Buddy some time to grow into in brain.

Sandy your flower pictures are beatiful!

Have a great day ladies. Stay happy. Stay healthy.
Cheryl

Another do very little day. I thought about going to town but there is nothing on my list that can't wait. It's 95 and very dry. Feels like walking into an oven when I go outside. There are storms across the North part of the state but don't see any rain in our forecast.

I am so ready to go somewhere again but the heat is too hard on my dog. There is an RVW campout in Mississippi next week but I'm not going to Mississippi. The owner of the campground at Toledo Bend let me know that they are having the 4th of July party on July 8th and wanted to know if I was going. Not unless my sister gets wind of it. I need to make a reservation for the September campout where the lazy river is.

Cheryl, hope you get your pantry fixed. I wish my camper had a pantry. The two shirt closets are full of cooking stuff since I don't have any storage in the kitchen.

I'm still working on getting my freezer down too so if we have a hurricane I don't lose a lot of food. I had a container of frozen soup for lunch. I keep seeing recipes that I would like to make but then I would have to freeze part of it. I should make a batch of cookie dough and use some of the nuts my sister has given me.

didn't do a lot got the cake made and if I was smart I would go out and make the icing it's a quick fudge frosting love it it's like eating candy on top of your cake...
we've had rain today which is always good well after years of drought it is good...
we did go over to the Senior center and have lunch and they did have Shrimp Jambalaya I really liked it... it also have round meat not sure if it was a type of sausage or kalboska
they had black eyed peas as well as broccoli salad and fruit cup... it was all really good and I do think that I probably could make it ..... I so need to shop from my freezer it is so full its one of the side by side and I don't think they hold as much which is probably good it it held more I'm sure that I would fill it up...
need to make mom an appointment for a pedi she says she has never had one... I have a hard time trimming nails and to me this will just be the easiest way not the cheapest but the easiest...
you all have a great day

Sheila, check with a local podiatrist, I think medicare will pay for some podiatrist services every so many months? Both my parents received services after they entered nursing home and/or assisted living. I had difficulty dealing with nail trims also. It is especially difficult with toenails made thick by fungus, etc. Good luck.

I hadn't thought about that Tina thanks will look into it although I've made an appointment just to get her nails trimmed as they do to her age didn't want to do a pedi
I'll have to look and see if there is even a podiatrist in the town
