Anne, I think the National News networks mention fires like you say and that’s it. They have too much other news to cover and don’t devote too much tine to CA wildfires or anybody else’s for that matter. I remember the Dixie fire being mentioned, but by far the most coverage was on the Weather channel. Fires like the Grayling one, don’t even get noticed. Haven’t even seen anymore on the NE smoke either. It’s sensationalism for a short bit and then they are chasimg something else.

Judy mentioned the Kirtland Warbler nesting habitat in the Jack pines. This is the latest that’s come out now that they have been able to do assessments in the fire area.

So time will tell where it all goes from here. There is some rain moving through the area, not much and hard to say where as it’s hit and miss showers.

I agree 100%, Sue. I don't have cable tv, but am able to watch the daily NBC Nightly News program daily on YouTube. I don't think there was even a mention about your tornado, although I may have missed it. I only knew about it because it was mentioned in my Google News accumulation.

I think National News spends a lot of time on the latest political shenanigans of whatever stripe they may be.

And I do most sincerely agree that the Canadian fires are unprecedented, alarming, and truly terrible. Without significant rain, I doubt that they can be stopped.

The width and scope of these Canadian fires all burning simultaneously is difficult to grasp.

Yes, it won't be over until it is over. I am hoping that it is sooner than later.
