Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday, May 25th

Morning. Sunny and a nippy 34°, up from the 32° it was when I got up at 6:30. Frost on the edges of neighbors garage roof. Not heavy, but enough to make it noticeable. Some areas got down to 19 and low 20’s. The wind shifted NE yesterday and pushed tbe smoke out. Was a beautiful sunny day yesterday and looks like more of same for today.

Velda, sorry about tour gealthbissues. Hopefully doctor will be able to straighten them out.

Housecleaning on agenda this morning. Been awhile since I last tackled it, other than vacuming, so need to get er done. Still haven’t made to to the greenhouse yet and won’t today, as Molly sees her vet for an eye issue early this afternoon. Will probably bring a truckload home when I do get down there, as I now have money to spend from POA for flowers at sub entrance and then of course buy mine. I see fun times ahead

Time to get moving and get this house done. First it’s off to the shower. Have a great day everyone.

Good morning Sue, weather isn't bad it is 47 with a high today of 83. I will finish up my drip system this morning. Got the timer all set up, tubing is in place so now just have to plug in the emitters and make sure things are getting watered appropriately. Ya know, not too much, not too little. When that task is accomplished then I will start my second coat of paint on the deck. Still need to do the front deck, stairs and then the back lower deck. Hope I have enough Thompsons stain because if I need more you know they will be out of it.

Had a tragedy at my house last night........my air fryer died!!!!!! So of course I went shopping as I just cannot be without my favorite appliance LOL Amazon to the rescue. Found one that I think will work, it will be here tonight. Velda hope you get things resolved and feel better soon. Sue, hope everything is okay with Molly. I have my eye doc appointment tomorrow for my injections. I have the first appt of the day at 8:30 I like going early, gives the doc less time to get behind ha ha

I will drink my second cup of coffee, have some breakfast then head outside before it gets too hot as it is the sunny part of my yard where I will be working. Shower will wait until after the work is done.

It got down to 67 last night and is only up to 83 now. I like these temperatures for my electric bill.

I gave Sugar a bath first thing this morning and cleaned the bathroom. Thought I might be done for the day after that. Now I'm washing my sheets and blanket. I finally took the sheets out and am baby sitting the washer trying to get the blanket to spin without being unbalanced. I hate this washer. If a load is unbalanced it will fill up with water again and do a rinse cycle.

I'm having trouble with the golf cart again. I would like a new one but good grief, they are as much as a used car. It probably needs new batteries which would be about $1,000.

I probably need to water the roses since it hasn't rained for a while. I can tell it's getting dry when I try to pull grass and weeds in the rose bed.

Martha

PS Yesterday I was looking for a new flavor of Blue Bell ice cream for my son, Dr Pepper Float. I didn't find that one but found a pint of peach. I hadn't seen a peach since a year ago when I was camping. Guess I'll be on the lookout for more peach ice cream again.

Washed my motorhome yesterday afternoon--not easy with my arthritic shoulder, but I managed to get sides and back done. I still need to go out with a rag and bucket to do the hood and bumper in the front. Need to fit outdoor things in between rainy times here. Mornings are usually sunny, but late afternoon the rain comes. Yesterday, it was a little early so sun came out around 6 pm and I had time to do the motorhome wash with my long brush. I saw someone else wash their rig a few days ago, and I asked the camp hosts, but they said they did not know of a specific rule. I also tried to look it up online and could not find a rule either. This is a Forest Service campground, but has water and electric and nice views of snow-capped mountains.

Another issue is that yesterday morning when I went out to dump tanks and pick up some groceries, I noticed a warning light for my radiator coming back. No radiator fluid or at least very low, so I need to figure how to get to town to get fluid. Had it flushed a couple of months ago, but am wondering if something came loose. Will start with fluid and see if I can get an Uber around here.

Am enjoying the hummingbird feeder on my window next to my recliner. There are little black-chinned hummers and they make a high-pitched trilling sign when they fly so you can tell where they are. They also buzz me if I go out and the feeder is empty, as if to tell me to get busy and fill it!

Judy, your radiator takes fluid???? do you mean antifreeze?? if so I understand that.

Just came in for some lunch it is getting hot out and the dog was quite put out that we were not coming inside. Each time I came in to get something for the drip system she just looked at me. No way was she going to go inside tho if I was just coming back out. She might hzve to stay inside and that doesnt work for her if I am outside.
Made myself a blended hazelnut mocha and now resting my back. I need to make some lunch but in a bit, think it will just be salad today.
Going to order some more dirt for the other grow tubs. Not sure what I will plant in there yet. We shall see.,...maybe nothing lol

Velda, I hope you're seeing the doctors you need to see.

Karen, I'd be lost without my air fryer. I'm a little lost without the big one that I have at the Casita. After having it all last season at the motel, I got used to it. But not having any. Nope. Funny that I happened to notice my big air fryer on Amazon was on sale. But mines not broken.

Anita, I hope things go more smoothly with this new manager than they have started.

I gave notice this morning that I won't be able to stay through the end of June, but will stay through June 10th. So I intend to leave Sunday June 11th. I'll make sure most everything is ready for travel before working the 8th, 9th and 10th. I want to drive through El Paso on Sunday. Hopefully the weather will be nice to me.

Barbie, parks like the one you mentioned in Tucson are more up your alley then mine. I don't need all the activities, etc. I do know that one has golf so I'm sure that caught your eye! And I much prefer Tucson to Phoenix. But I don't find those rates really help to save money. That's just me. And if you're going to be traveling maybe seasonal sites would work for when you're in the area, at least for now. Lots to think about. And it's fun looking.

I just now went out and picked another 5 - 6 pounds of my organic strawberries, as well as several of my organic zuchinni, and some organic yellow crookneck. First picked squash of the season.

Looked on Walmart, organic zuchinni are $7.49 a pound!! They come in a two-zuchinni package for $2.93 @ $.49.3 per ounce. Yikes!!

My onions are about four foot tall and getting ready to bloom. Don't know if that is a good thing or not; I'll need to ask The Google Gardener.

Having a couple cool-ish days here (mid 70's) I still need to get my cucumber and pumpkin plants in the ground, and a couple more zuchinni plants also (these I started from seed). These I'll try to get planted tomorrow, and also expand my drip system to take care of them.

After lunch, I'm going back out and prune the tomatoes, then I'll come back in and process the squash and strawberries for freezing.

Then it's tv time, I think!

Velda, thinking about you - hope you are getting some answers.

Had a very positive visit with pulmonary/sleep Dr today. He recognizes there is both a chronic issue and an acute one which may be connected. He ordered pulmonary function test and oxygen monitoring at night while I'm home wearing my Cpap. Then he requested my internist order a battery of blood tests on things that can affect BP . Dr will get them ordered tomorrow morning his office said. Hope we will get clues as to origin of my morning high BP and cough. I'm still adding rescue pill during day, and monitoring carefully. I've had 1 less pill today than yesterday and think it was both walking from parking structure to office and back plus my afternoon 30 min on treadmill that helped. Just trying not to stress and be patient getting testing done. Otherwise a good day .

I am pausing to see what I did today... and I can't say much at all
started my last 4 rows on my Swedish Weave...
we had enough rain I opted not to go outside and pull dead foliage
while reading scriptures I heard it starting to rain then thought that is really loud
so glanced up and could see the hail... nothing planted so nothing hurt... and not that big anyway
didn't make it to the craft thing so still don't know if I'm doing things right... I didn't allow enough time to get there before they opened for it and I know that on that street is a lack of parking so didn't even attempt... I wonder if I google the term spiral hats?? if that will help
planning on going up to see my brother tomorrow and put flowers on his wife's grave... it is really hard to get to well not hard just not easy when pushing a walker... which my mom does.. I don't think I will suggest she walk over to the grave it's on a hill side... my SIL will understand
Hopefully Velda they will figure out what is going on so you can start feeling better
I think I lay in the bed reading wrong and lean in a wrong position while crocheting as my upper arm hurts
the park I want to get a park model in is or way pretty inexpensive lots of activities and reasonable size lots and you can get double lots if you buy the right place... I can only hope when I can purchase there will be something that I want and can afford..
you all have a great day
