Peach Breakfast Biscuits

Peach Breakfast Biscuits

Postby Cedar518 » Tue Jul 15, 2008 12:49 pm

1 can of sliced peaches
1 envelope of biscuit mix
butter
brown sugar
cinnamon
confectioners sugar

Generously cover bottom of round cake tin with butter, sprinkle with brown sugar and then dash some cinnamon on the brown sugar. Arrange drained peach slices in design on the bottom of pan. Mix biscuits according to envelope directions and drop by spoonfuls on top of peaches. Bake as directed. Biscuits will expand as they bake. When biscuits have baked, put serving plate upsidedown on top of biscuits and invert onto plate. Biscuits should come out of pan onto plate. Mix topping of confectioner's sugar and water or milk and drizzle on top,.... serve warm.

I have Bisquick in the big box and I'm assuming I could use that, but how much? What is the size (oz) of the packaged mix you use?

Well, I sure as heck like the way you think - especially while camping!
I thought the same thing.

These are sorta like the Pineapple Upside Down Biscuits, aren't they?
Oh, and with fresh peaches (which I bought today...) YUMMO...

Fare for the TN GTF, I'm thinkin'...

Cedar, as I don't have the biscuit pkg to get the directions off of, how long do you bake these? And I don't think you said how many oz your prepackaged mix holds so I can substitute Bisquick. Thanks!

hey gals,... I'm checking in from work... Just figure you want a recipe from Bisquick that will make at least 8 biscuits to arrange on the fruit. I just drop by tablespoons. Re: canned biscuits,.... I never use them. The envelopes + 1/2 c. water as directed make a fluffier biscuit. But hey,... go for it if you want to! :D

This recipe sounds to good to be true! I never use a package biscuit mix, it's just as easy to whip them up from scratch, but wonder how they would come out if you poured a tad of the peach juice over the brown sugar and used peach juice in the powdered sugar. Hmmmmm.....may have to make a quich run to the corner market for a can of peaches....gals at the beach are gonna looovvvve me!!! :D
