Warm Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Warm Wednesday

Morning all! I don't open the morning coffee very often these days, but I am up because they have started working on my vehicle. Looking forward to getting everything done and getting out of here and to Zion!

Actually, it isn't warm quite yet because I have my furnace going, but it is supposed to be 75 here in Kanab and 70 in Zion Ntl Park.

Good morning Judy and all that check in!

Judy, we put our motorhome in shop while we were in Kanab several years ago. The mechanics there were fantastic and found the problem that another mechanic we went to couldn't find. We loved that area. Barbie, I hope you'll be working soon!

It is very windy here, not like the winds some of you have experienced but still windy with 30+ mph winds. Right now it is 75 degrees but it feels cooler because of the winds. Rain is in the forecast and even though it was raining in Tampa several hours ago, we haven't gotten any and we are in a rain deficit of over 6", so we could really use some.

There is nothing earth shattering going on in our lives, but I'm enjoying reading all of your posts.

Beth, I saw the picture you posted on Facebook. They need to do some work on their trails. I can see why you need a walking stick.

I don't know what I'll do today. It might be a good idea for me to get dressed. There are scattered showers in the area and it rained on me when I went to feed. There is a lot of rain in the gulf but I don't know which way it's headed. It can go somewhere else that's for sure. My neighbors have been gone since Saturday and I haven't seen his son or grandson come to feed his birds. He has two cages with Guineas in one and I'm not sure what's in the other cage. I usually hear them when they come but could have missed them. It's none of my business but I like to worry.

Windy here too. Been windy for three days, looks to continue. Winds are around 25 with gusts to 31. Really pumping up the warm air. Temp is 75° heading for around 80. Red Flag Fire Danger now that the snow is gone. Typical for this time of year. Have my sliding door open and my front doors reen as well. Letting some fresh air in.

I have been working in the yard, cleaning up winter debris, pine needles etc. Done for now. Time to let nature take over. Will clean out flowerbeds later as the straw and leaves will keep the ground moist, plus this is a false spring. Cooler weather with chance of rain/snow or minor accumulations for next week. We don’t see true spring till middle of last month. My thing has always been back when I take a sniff of the air and I smell damp fresh earth, I know we are in spring and right now it’s not there yet. It’s like the winds bring up the smell of freshly plowed fields from the farms in the central part of the State.

Just finished lunch and heading to garage. Cut out the figures for spring display yesterday and now to cut the outfits. I think I am going to be in the market for a new saw. This one is starting to wear out. It’s over 20 years old.

Judy, hope everything gets fixed and you can be on your way.

So I’m outta here. Also waiting for somebody to come by to give me an estimate on getting my driveway resealed.

Judy, I've heard good things about repairs in Kanab also. I hope you'll find the same to be true and be on the road soon.

Martha, that's an easy trail lol. It's what I'm used to just getting too old for some of the moderate and harder ones, by myself anyway.

Like Judy, I had chilly weather this morning but should hit 80 this afternoon. I've gotten 10,000 steps the last couple days and hope to again today but no guarantees. I push 8-9,000 on my work days. I'm already tired when I get home. And since the gardens are closed Ty can be off leash and I can sit on benches now and then instead of getting all my steps. Bad me.

OMG it is Wednesday already, what happened to Mon and Tues??? Well weather report is pretty much the same., cloudy, cold, rain showers. They were predicting snow possible up in Portland area, dont think that happened but it was cold this morning here 30° it is now 45 with a high to 51. I went up to Safeway and picked up my order then came right back home LOL

Not sure what today will bring but we shall see.

Had a good long sleep last night. I had a bedroom window open all night because it was breezy overnight. Now I have the air back on. It is warming up and no wind today.

Need to get up and get stuff done around here today. First on the list is to bring in the microwave. I will put a reminder note on it to not use the timer! Eventually, I will have to replace the over the stove one (again! ).

Beth, how do you like the actual job so far? What about the people you work with/for? You haven't said much about that. Just curious...

Have a good day!

Hi to all! A late check in for me, seems to be the way anymore. Not sure where to mornings go….yes I do….Buddy time!! The good news is that he had his sutures removed yesterday and he looks like a new dog. I can see his whole eye (s) now! Big brown puppy dog eyes. I’m sure he’ll use them on me. The vet was super happy with how they turned out and I agree, in my limited knowledge that they look so much better and the hope is that we won’t have to revisit this again down the line. Of course he let everyone know he was in the building. Again working on his manners but he’s going to be a tough one. Walks are starting in earnest and lots of playtime. I agree with you, Sue. This isn’t really spring yet even if just overnight the trees are really starting to leaf out so soon I’ll have a driveway full of yellow pollen producing “stuff”. Still not sure what to call it all! Besides a mess. Temp is up to 77 right now and forecasted to be over 80 on Friday. I finally gave up on raking leaves today because of the wind. It usually isn’t so bad in back but not the case today. Judy, snow is a real possibility next week although I don’t see any in my location. But rain for a couple of days. I need to get my car washed but noticed today they are working on finishing tearing down the building that they were working on last fall. A direct shot of dust into my driveway and on the car! I see a difference since this morning so may just be wasting my time doing it now but it really needs it. About it from my corner of the world. Hope you all have a good evening.

actually accomplished what I set out to do.... hair cut pedi and eyebrows sorta... granddaughter did the hair cut and I also got a 'Streak" of fun color and eyebrows tinted... she will shape later as we ran out of time... then went into the nail room and was a unintended subject of learning... an instructor used me for a lesson on getting rid of callouses they worked on my feet for a very long time... they look so good...so does my hair :D
went back to JoAnns and got some more yarn I really liked this one color was hoping to use it in the new project but was voted down hopefully someone else will like it and got a skein of variegated to make a scarf for the great granddaughter... hopefully she will like the color it's reds and pinks called lipstick
so that was my day now I should go and organize my stuff so I can get off at a decent time... there is a restaurant that I wanted to stop at but if I leave too early it won't be open... and of course the weather is suppose to be colder and wet tomorrow morning ugg not what I want to drive in going North
will check in again later
