Morning All, 46°partly sunny. Lots of activity going on now that spring is here. Anita is packing for her move to a new home, Karen waiting for her new wheels Beth and Ty have new sights and smells and Shelia is taking a trip to Utah. Sue your safe place is a nice place. Bj, I meant to tell you my favorite car was a red RAV. Velda is still walking and I don’t know what Anne is up to. Lol I’m sorry for anyone I didn’t mention. My indoor garden is organize and will wait a couple weeks to work on the balcony, weather permitting. Household chores today and the usual putzing. Be safe.

Best wishes for Bills eye appointment today.

Good morning Shirl, and all who follow. It's crept up to 51° here and sunny, though possible April showers late in week. Time to tackle the to do list and check for appointments coming up. Heater is running, catching up from a chilly night last night. It doesn't run often, with thermostat set at 70°, and a well insulated house, yet utility bill (includes electric, water, sewer amd garbage) is over $500 again! Ugh. Have a good week everyone. And, Shirl, happy gardening!

I'm trying to talk myself into going to hook up the trailer and go mow. I have today and tomorrow and then it's suppose to rain for several days. I should do it today because I have a Cattlewomen meeting tomorrow night. I don't want to over book myself. lol The wind started back up last night. I could hear it blowing and it's still windy today.

I finally remembered to put the Hummingbird feeder back up and I already have a bird coming.

Good morning. Another day same o same o. I am OFFICIALLY sick of the rain. I was happy for it due to our drought and fire season summer...BUT enough is enough for now. I want a couple of sunny days so I can work in my yard without getting rained on all day. Saturday and Sunday look a bit hopeful.

Velda WOW on your heat bill. I would faint LOL Mine was $120 this time down about $27 so hopefully my power conservation plan is helping and we are due to a warm up So far most of our mornings are in the 30's with highs upper 40's that has not helped my conservation plan.
Shirl is making me really want to play in the dirt. I repotted my house plants this spring but they still are not happy. My violet I think needs some fertilizer so will get some when I head to town. My soundbar quit on me and I hate the tv speakers even tho I have a newer Samsung. I am never buying another Samsung tho. They wont let you download some apps I like, not even sure what their deal is but it makes me mad. So since I cut the cable cord I stream everything now. Love it. Except Samsung wont let me do it all. So I have had a Roku stick (I LOVE ROKU) so I bought a Roku streambar hooked it up and I love it. The remote works just like it did with my Roku stick which I removed because it is built in the soundbar. Very clear sounds. I bought one for my living room tv because my older streambar wouldnt work on it (another Samsung) but that was quite a while ago. I learned some things about this one to make better speech clarity and leveling where it doesnt blast you out of your seat when a commercial comes on. So now need to tweak my other one.

Oh yes and another plus for my new car she has ALEXA built in ha ha ha I do love my ALEXA

Good morning!

Karen, curious what apps your Samsung won't let you download. Sue, I like your shelter room. Kansas daughter had a tornado room put in when they built the house. Luckily electricity is pretty cheap here! Partially sunny today.

Shirl, not only am I packing to move, now I'll be packing for a trip. I did talk myself into the Kansas trip before the move. :) Turns out the celebration dinner for my cousin's daughter is at a lake resort where I've stayed in their RV park. My aunt called this morning and she has reserved a cabin for us for a week! She is so excited, but I'm a bit confused by that except her granddaughter thinks my aunt likes to babysit the dogs. With out-of-town person coming, I guess there will be 3 and she wants no part of it! Not sure what we will do there for a week and I have others to see, but at 93, she can call the shots. :) They do have wi-fi (for me) and I hope she'll enjoy the satellite tv enough that she'll finally get cable at home. Cousin and I have both tried to talk her into it. Cabins look beautiful and a wonderful setting. Another adventure!

Good morning gals! Pushing noon here actually.

Just after posting yesterday about having no breeze and being stuffy in my house with a fan blowing, the wind picked up fiercly and I had to close some windows and turn off the fan! The winds kept up like that all night and into this morning! Sounded like a hurricane! Now they are starting to subside and we have just a nice breeze going. Temps are down so it feels really good!

Drove my trash to the dumpster this morning and the windshield was covered in dust from the winds. My outside deck is just layered in dust from the past couple weeks of wind. Need to find my leaf blower and blow that all off. Need to dust and vacuum the porch too. Romeow comes in with black feet now.

My middle back hurts today. I have my heating pad on it now. Must have slept wrong. The rest of me feels pretty good tho.

I got my new computer glasses today. They work great! Regular reading glasses don't work for me because I have to hold my books, phone and laptop too close to me to see things clearly. When I got the prescription for these I told them I need to be able to see clearly about 20" away. So they are perfect now! Plus the blue light protection. I could even use these for cutting hair. I was starting to have a hard time seeing what I was doing clearly. I got glasses with narrow lenses so I can look up over them to see farther away since I am far-sighted. Money well spent (just over $40 at Zenni).

I had to throw out an almost full package of hotdogs yesterday. I like an occasional hotdog but by the time I want another one, the rest of them are bad. One company used to sell hotdogs where each one was individually wrapped and sealed. Those worked great for me since they stayed good for a much longer time. They don't sell those anymore. I could freeze them but then I would have to plan ahead to thaw one out. I am pretty much an impulsive eater and decide on the spot what sounds good to me. Yesterday, I decided on a hotdog, but ended up having to make something else after having to toss the ones I had. :(

Shirl, your plants are so nice and organized! Some people with lots of plants have a big mess of plants all over the place. I am sure your deck plants look just as nice in the summer! I wish I was better with plants. Even my strawberry plant doesn't look so good right now. :(

Have a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Anita sounds like you will have a fun trip. I like to go places but only for a few days now. When I had the motorhome I would stay for much longer, ya know all the comforts of home.

I cant remember which apps they didnt offer off hand but one I watch alot is PHILO
Here is a link to my favorite guy. My Samsungs are 2020 so not too old. They cant sell me that excuse. But this short video explains it all. This is why I have a ROKU

Barbie? About hot dogs.....mine were always kept in the freezer though now they are more apt to be a brat, etc, that I heat up and cut up to put on a salad. That is what the miracle of a microwave is for. And it has been years since I've done it but from another lifetime ago, I will admit to eating regular hot dogs....frozen out of the freezer.

 Martha, I read Sam’s Club is selling their coconut cake for Easter.

Barbie, sorry I missed you. Dizzier today than usual, think it’s allergies. I keep hotdogs in the freezer too. Place them in the freezer loosely on a plate until frozen then drop in a freezer bag. Easy to remove one at a time.

Barbie, like others have said, simply have them easy to remove one at a time and hot dogs thaw and prepare easily.

I don't know why but I lost water pressure in my rig today. I even tried removing my pressure regulator but that didn't solve it either. So I hooked up to fill my water tank and it took forever. That makes me feel it's a problem here. Maybe the gardener has so much water running that it effects mine. But if that's the case, it'll happen again so I'll probably just continue filling my water tank. I also hooked up my humidifier but probably should have gotten it going earlier. It's still under 10* humidity in here. (Outside is 4%!) I've had a couple nose bleeds so trying to stop those.

Martha I refuse to even look at cakes anywhere. I think I finally finished the king cake from my freezer. That was so good!

Otherwise I'm pretty much a bum today. TV with Roku and a book. Oh I purchased a cd with a bit over 5% apy. I'm going to be watching my money and probably buy one a month while this rate lasts.

I learned something today. I got up and packed up for leaving today, headed to the dump station, and then noticed a loud click-click-click sound coming from my water heater. Took a screwdriver and went outside to open the little panel for the water heater. A small red light was blinking. Hmmmm. I was worried that this would be the third time something had prevented me from seeing the Manhattan Project museum in Los Alamos. Darn. I had this site for another night, but I had planned to drive to Los Alamos and stay in the White Rock RV parking lot.

So, went back to my campsite and called CoachNet because they also offer technical advice to members. The technician told me to pull the fuse and then put it back. Amazing--no more clicking. Apparently, per CoachNet, the clicking and little red light were indicators that my water heater had not turned on when I flipped the switch. (Actually, I hadn't turned it on since last night, and it had been off all night. I must have accidentally hit it when turning off the water pump before pulling out.) The technician on the phone had me try it again and it lighted, so he said it was probably just dirty and to have someone look at the igniter when I had time. Anyway, I had never had problems with water heater clicking in the past 11 years, but at least next time I will not panic.

So, managed to get to Los Alamos and enjoyed the history museum and wandering around the little town. Good parking in a strip mall next to museum. And amazingly, it was 70 today, I i took off my sweater halfway through the day. However, strong wind warming today, tonight, and tomorrow, and going to be a lot colder tomorrow. Going back to Bradbury Science Museum, then heading south and west on Wednesday.

I got up to go potty and noticed a text from my #1 dd to call when I got up well technically I was up but I was so not alert so decided to call after the alarm went off... after I felt I was somewhat awake I called and she was telling me that they have a big storm coming through so then I text brother to see when he was coming and not till Tuesday night due to you got a storm coming through... that song "don't rain on my parade" sure was uppermost in my mind... finally got over my pity party and decided that I can still go Weds morning still see my #4 dd in the afternoon hopefully :? so that is the plan so today I reboxed my books so I could count them not sure if that is important or not but if is that is done... think it was just shy of 300 think 296 maybe...I actually think that there is either a bag or box of books in the trailer but that isn't happening anytime soon...
got mom a shower tomorrow I need to pack for both of us so hopefully I can have the not needed stuff in the car tomorrow night like my carry oxygen tanks and two boxes of books
thinking of Shirl's houseplants will need to water the ones here I need to do some maintenance on them one I think literally needs a bigger pot lots of them need soil freshened up because of the size of them I take and loosen the soil up and add in some new soil I also have a orchid one of those little itsty bitsy ones think it needs a new pot and soil although I am not really sure would need to talk with someone that knows hate buying soil for a small pot when you can't get a small bag wish that there was a place to buy it from like a open bin...
you all have a great day

Good evening!

Wow! I think there is a hurricane happening outside! :o The winds have gotten stronger thru the day, and the past few hours have been kind of scary! It is so loud out there from the winds! Earlier this afternoon, the sky turned brown from the dust blowing in the air. I closed all the windows even in the porch. There is an air quality alert due to that. I read that we could be getting gusts up to 80 mph tonight into tomorrow morning! High, loud winds make me very nervous so I probably won't sleep well tonight. I hope the palm trees hold up! :? Last night I slept with both bedroom windows open and enjoyed the light breeze blowing thru, but not gonna happen tonight!

Otherwise, am just watching YouTube videos about RVs and RV life.

Thanks for the advise about hotdogs. I usually don't microwave my hotdogs, but I can at least thaw them out in there enough so I can fry them on the stove the way I like. I like to cut them up and cook them with BBQ baked beans.

Have a good night!
