Morning All, 51°and sunny, Judy and Martha, think searching “how to operate ?? Radio(camera video” would help. Evie, think criminals seek vulnerable women and I don’t think they see us that way. I still walk like I’m 6 ft. Tall and bulletproof. Lol. Or maybe I think I do. Saw a big bird sitting on my balcony railing this morning. Will shop Dollar Tree to get a wire trash can to put over the strawberry plants. Wonder where I could buy a large stuffed owl. I sailed on a 42 ft sailboat with 7 women. We came ashore and two young men ask if we came from that big boat.when we said yes, they ask “ where are the men”. I said “home watching the kids and doing the laundry”. We laughed all day. Women do know how to have fun. Be safe

Good morning!

Sunny and warming!

I have used YouTube to solve so many problems! :) I had a different dining experience last night with the kids for their belated 50th birthday dinner. There was a huge 'buffet' of fresh veggies, meats, and fruits. You fill your bowl with whatever you want, pick a sauce and then they cook it on their griddle. The charge is by the pound - $16. It was delicious! They also had barbecue pork with ketchup, sesame seeds and hot mustard - haven't had the real thing in many, many years.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Shirl, forget the owl. Thry don’t work. My boss at the State Park (park manager) tried that on the park’s beach to keep the darn seagulls off the beach. All they did was go to sleep under the post it as mounted on,

Darn, the wire trash can from dollar tree isn’t big enough either. Strawberry plants not looking great so might not need anything. Lol. It is still early. Tulip pot has one bud though. Thanks for the heads up.

When I was living at the lake in MN, a lot of boat owners there put up hanging CD's that would spin in the breeze, to keep birds away and it worked great!

I just read yesterday that 1/3 of all RVers are women, and 80% of all solo RVer's are women. That is a lot! My dad took my brother and I tent camping several times when we were young, and so did my aunt and uncle. I started tent camping on my own (with a singles group or friends) when I was in my 20's. Then one day at work (about 15 years ago), I had an older female client who told me she and her husband were visiting their daughter in town with their RV. When I asked where they live, she said "in the RV". I asked "but when you are not in the RV, where is your home?" She told me the RV was their home. I was amazed! I had never heard of anyone actually living in their RV. I must have asked her a million questions after that! I was fascinated! When I got home, I googled it on line and discovered it really was a thing! :o That is when I found this forum and got excited to get an RV of my own. Of course the first one was the pop-up trailer which was fun but too hard to put up and take down by myself. It wasn't until 6 years ago when I got my 19' TT to tow out here. Loved that one (the tow vehicle, not so much! ). It was a perfect layout and size for me inside. I had no problem with setting up and or packing up, other than the hitching (part of that was the hitch ball on the tow vehicle was not level, so the coupler didn't go on or off very easily.) The last TT was the little 15' that I took to Q 3 years ago. That was a perfect size for shorter trips. Now I am ready to really hit the road and seriously check out the country with a Class C (if I can ever sell my house! ). I have learned so much since I joined this forum and met quite a few of you (and others no longer on here) at GTG's over the years.

Anyways, I went to the interview this morning with the temp service for the part-time cannabis job, only to be told that job is only a few days per month as needed. They wanted to give me a server job in Palm Spring (almost an hour drive from me!) and I said I need a sit-down job. So now I am back to square one, unless I get desperate and decide to go with a full-time position and pause my SS. Seems like nothing is going my way lately. :( I came home with a headache and have been hanging out on my bed with the blinds closed. Tried to take a nap, but between the weed-whackers, lawn mowers, and leaf blowers, it has been way too noisy and my head still hurts.

I got my lattice fastened securely now and my strawberry plant repotted yesterday. People are starting to head out of here now for the summer. Most of the activities in the park are done now too for the season. Weather is still cooler than normal which is fine with me! Hoping the whole summer is cooler than normal with low humidity.

Have a good evening!

I have been puttering all day. Mostly on the computer as Shutterfly where I had some pictures is going to delete your account if you dont buy something every 18 months. Well I could have bought something, BUT that just annoyed me!!! So I spent some of the afternoon downloading to my computer. I will organize them later, was about 800 pictures. I had them for a long time hence the volume of pictures. Between them and Photobucket I had quite a few pictures.

Another cold damp rainy day. Not much else to report.

Speaking of weather, after super hot to bearable hot today (no AC required) temps are going down overnight tonight and I'll wake up to low to mid 50's and where I'm going to will be lucky to get into the low 50's tomorrow. So from sundresses back to leggings tomorrow. Nights will remain cooler (desert cool) but after tomorrow should be pleasant days. I never asked if I have any kind of uniform. Hmmmm. I'll find out soon, won't I?

I need to replace one of my phones so might splurge (for me) and get a fancier than normal, definitely getting 5g. Both my phones are on networks with 5g, but I don't have phones that handle it. So I'll be moving into that realm. The phone I'm changing will probably move onto my other network. I like it better than the other one. Some day I'll go back to one phone but as long as I'm traveling at least as much as I am, I rarely have no service. Today my Verizon has no service. But my other phone is good.

Barbie, did you ever get your electrical outlet replaced? And I think you said that was where you had a heater or fireplace plugged in? Did you check that plug to make sure it wasn't damaged also?

Shirl, maybe you could try a fake snake to keep the birds away. You could probably find things like that in a gardening catalog. I was in the back yard today and happened to think about putting up my hummingbird feeder. When I looked the rope I hang it from is up in the beam of the porch roof. It must have taken some strong winds to cause that. I will have to find the hoe and see if I can get it down.

This is the craziest weather. It was 89 today and is suppose to be in the 60's Wednesday. There was a chance of rain but it went North of here. It's 90% tomorrow and a small chance of rain for the rest of the week. I don't see where it's coming from.

I don't know what I'll do this week. It would probably be a good idea to clean house before I decide to go somewhere. I bought a cake mix and toffee chips to make cookies. Now I have to find the recipe I saw for them. I really need cookies.

Speaking of hot weather, I sure wish it were even a tiny bit warm here!! I had a ton of errands I needed to run today, but I almost postponed it another day or two because the high today here was 39!!! As in Farenheit, not Metric. Plus there was a strong wind blowing which made it feel even colder. When I woke up this morning, after hardly any sleep, it was 37 at 10 am, which made me huddle under my down comforter for another hour or so. Tonight, the low is supposed to be 27. Tomorrow's high will be 51, with a low that night of 24, but at least I have lots of propane plus my two little electric heaters. (Made sure my hose was drained tonight.)

Anyway, I bundled up and drove out to Santa Fe. Stopped at Amazon hub to pick up a package, then to Goodwill to drop off my old printer, and onward to Trader Joe's to pick up a couple of things. Then on to Walgreen's to wait in a long line to pick up a prescription, and to Tractor Supply to get propane, but they were out of it, so had to drive to Ferrell Gas to get a propane fill so i don't freeze tonight. Then on to Walmart's and finally to a gas station because tank was almost empty! Whew! And I had had only a snack for breakfast/lunch so did not eat a real meal until I got back to campground at 6 pm. Of course, that was dumb because I now have a headache, even after eating.

Anyway, everything is put away, and dishes are done, plus I am washing out some underwear. I have lots of shorts and t-shirts, so hand washing some undies means I don't have to do laundry as often. Will be glad to get to Ohio this summer and Florida in the fall and winter because those states have washers and dryers in every state park!!

I like the fake snake and even the CD disks hanging in the breeze to keep birds away!!

And tomorrow I am staying home and making cookies, plus doing a couple of other small tasks. Maybe reading???

my normal for the day bk scriptures then told mom that I wanted to give her a shower... I am not sure who is the most stubborn her or me... she would rather have her shower in the evening I want to do it in the day time as in the evening I am either on computer or crocheting... if she would right after supper but no that is when Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune is on... then while I am crocheting or computering lol I keep an eye on the tv....
we did get her shower done hair up I really hate the length I guess I misjudged how short it would be... have a hard time getting the curlers to stay in they were coming out a few hours later told mom that she ought to take them out so she asks if her hair will be dry well it was almost before her hair was in curlers  it's time for a break
did work on my Swedish Weave got my two rows in on my crocheted afghan... I only have 36 more rows on it... text my grandson got his colors so while I am in Utah will find his colors there is one color I would really like to see in person it looks so pretty... and I think I will get some more monk's cloth and yarn for another one .... I don't get to the stores that often so have to think ahead even if it sits around for a couple of months while I finish this one... I would be finished but I added a few rows on to the pattern so I wouldn't waste a lot of cloth... so that was my day tomorrow to the store wish I had a Henry to do the floors while I go
you all have a good day

Personally, I would rather see a pretty CD spinning, than a fake snake on my deck!

Wow! What a crazy day around here!! I guess when I was out for that interview, my next door neighbor, Gloria, fell again and the firetruck arrived to help her back up. She is a little scraped and bruised but otherwise OK, I guess.

Then this afternoon an ambulance and firetruck raced past my house to a house down the street. The lady who lives there is the one who took the white Maine Coon, Lily, that I found as a stray. They were there awhile and took a gurney into the house but ended up leaving without taking her. I heard later that she is very sick with the flu. Then I heard from another neighbor after seeing another firetruck come by, that a guy down the other way had called 911 for some big issue. Now about 15 minutes ago, an ambulance and firetruck with full lights came flying by and back to that lady's house down the street! They weren't there very long so I think they just took her and rushed her to the hospital. My other neighbor had said she "just has the flu" but I reminded her that people die from the flu all the time. I hope she will be OK. She has several family members here in the park, a sister and I think 2 sister-in-laws. She isn't too much older than I am, probably mid 60's. So, way too much emergency action around here today just on my block!

I did some reading this afternoon and my headache eventually went away. Made some brownies tonight. Am off to bed shortly. Will see if anyone shows up for putters tomorrow morning. I really need to get this place cleaned up a bit.
