Martha, here is a link to the ribs I get. Also tells you how you can cook them different ways.
There is 2 1/2 lbs in there and I cut them into 3 sections, sometimes 4 depending on what else I am having with them.
I bought 3 packs and froze 2 of them for later,

Karen, I like those, too. I still have one small package in my freezer right now.

Martha, 2008 birth and I agree with your vet, 15 today.

Barbie, I can't wait to hear about your experience trimming the fur on Romeow's rear!! Remember that old joke about how to give a cat a pill?? I suppose you could try the old wrap-him-up-in-a-towel trick, but even with that, I am guessing you are going to need a second or third person to hold the cat!!! Anyway, we will all be waiting to see how it goes!!

The biggest reason for the minimum withdrawal requirement is that a 401K account is a "deferred" tax account, not a no-tax account. They don't want you to save all that money without paying taxes and then giving it to someone after you die without ever paying the taxes on it.

I had a rough drive today. It was OK until I got to within about 80 miles of Santa Fe, but then I encountered a very strong side-wind. Luckily, I was on a divided highway with almost no traffic. At several points, something was banging around and I tipped my side mirror up on my driver's side and could see the slide topper flapping. However, when I put on my blinkers and pulled over, it looked fine--all rolled up and no tears, but then it banged again. I stopped again, but the shoulder was narrow and there were no side roads in this very high desert, and no places to safely pull over. I looked up the wind speed map and found that it got better about 20 miles away, so I put on my blinkers and drove 45 MPH until I got out of it. Whew.

Passed a lot of snow on my last few miles to Santa Fe, but roads were OK. Very cold, but stopped and picked up some groceries, a big Jimmy Johns sandwich, and an Amazon package, then drove through heavy rain to Cochiti Lake. Managed to back in, hook up electric, and add a bit of water--my sweatshirt was soaked. Came inside and turned on heat and ate sandwich, then when rain stopped, went back out and finished filling my tank. So groceries are all put away, and I am finally relaxing. Took Aleve for headache and sore muscles. Feel much better.

Tomorrow when it is dry and a little warmer, I will go out and try to figure out if anything is broken. I think one latch on the driver's side slide topper might be missing. All my covers seemed to be OK when I looked at them briefly in the rain, but they could be loose.

Beth, for some reason I decided that this is 2024.

Karen, I'll have to see if our Walmarts have those ribs.

I'm chilly shouldn't be it is 26 outside the thermostat is set at 70.... mom came to my bedroom door the other night she wanted me to read the number's of what ?? out here so I followed her to the hall it was the thermostat that she wanted read I said it's 70 she said I usually have it set at 67 change it... I said you complain all the time of being cold it literally makes no sense to turn it down ... so it's still set at 70... someone turned it this winter after hearing her complain how cold she was.... humidity is up so probably why I'm chilled I hope that my heated throw works tonight... it seems like sometimes it doesn't want to work then it will work fine
I checked my settings last night for some reason my sound on the alarm wasn't up the whole way so turned it up I heard the alarm this morning..
I wish I could remember what I want to comment on by the time I get to that point...
I give my dd a list of stuff I would like her to pick up which she does doesn't complain about it but I guess I need to be more explicit about size she usually buys the small size like in and as infrequently as she comes I really need to large size of stuff...
when I go to Utah I am going to have to get stuff that will last longer than 30 days... really need to start my list so I will remember everything... and all the stores I want to stop in at JoAnn's for more monk's cloth that type of list...
Barbi you ought to figure out a way to take a video of your trimming your kitty's tush it will be quite the trick ...
you all have a great day

Sue-she needs to move photos from Android tablet to a Apple iPad. You described android to android or apple to apple, which, yes is easy. Not easy Android to Apple !

I've never seen ribs in a package like that at a grocery but DH does most of the shopping. We live near some of the best BBQ (winners at the Memphis BBQ off a few times) in the country and never thought of buying them a store.
I'm also frustrated by technology! My computer is so old I can't update it anymore and I'm unsure of what I need in a new one. So many choices about GB of storage, memory etc. I'm just going to try and get a person at the Apple store and see if they will walk me through it. There is a computer store here who makes house calls to set it up.

Someone could make fortune tutoring the elderly to use technology. No one is brave enough to try. It has to be one on one and the elderly personn has to have their mouth taped. I was on the phone with Edith over an hour yesterday. Her brother gave her a new IPad but never helped set it up. She didn’t know the model, wasn’t connected to the internet and her gmail was not set up on the iPad. After an hour she wanted to pull out my hair and I wanted to poke her in the eye. We said good bye while we were still friends. I so feel her frustration. I will try to visit her.

I am one of those old people who would love to have some reliable help with computer, iPad and phone. Somehow I screwed up my phone and it completely shut down! I went to Verizon store and they told me I had to go to Apple Store. Got there and they couldn’t fix it without having my iPad there also. I never did understand why. He did give me a phone # to call Apple Care. Went home (daughter was driving me). We, together using her phone to call Apple Care, worked for an hour and brought my phone partially back. It’s not completely like I want it, but I can make phone calls and text. I was exhausted last night and slept very poorly.
Other daughter says my computer is so old it is ready to crash. I am now using iPad only. I looked up computers on Amazon, and talk about GREEK! I am going to think about this for awhile before I do anything.

Lynn, I hear you. Every day it’s a challenge living with Shirlv. I haven’t visited my friend since before the pandemic. I realized after the phone call I was torturing her because she could no longer do what I ask. I will try to visit her and set up her email which she wants to use.

Lol! I totally agree! I still don't know how to use my DVD player! All that teckie stuff just overwhelms my mind!

Martha, I too figured out that your cat is actually 15. Glad Beth figured that out too. I always second guess my math since I am not too good at that either.

Sheila, while you are typing your post, you can scroll down the page below the box you are typing in, to see the other posts. I do that all the time because I too, can't remember who I wanted to respond to. Makes it easy to reread the posts to remember what was written and by whom. (The posts are in backwards order tho, from newest to oldest).
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Shirl once again you totally made me LOL! I feel that way when I try to help my DH with tech issues. He gets mad because I can fix it and he can't. His new car is going to drive me to drink-more. I had it all fixed and now I think he has totally wiped everything out, it keeps saying to connect a device when I tried to get the screen back where all his apps are. All I could do was get his radio to play but at least that. Guess who will be taking it to the tech person at the dealership.
