SOME PICS ON A RAINY DAY

This DSL is slower than dial-up right now, but at least I am ON!

My firewood came, and I took a couple of shots of it in the rain before I went to mail some checks at the post office.

My original tent cot----perfect for camping in the back of a pickup or anywhere, for that matter. I have a new one coming that has a rounded roof, so I and Molly will be able to sit up in it! I can't WAIT to see it. It comes with a full rainfly and carrying case. The entire thing folds right down flat.

Can you tell I am bored out of my tree with all this rain??? The sun is actually trying to come out now, so I am off to pick wild strawberries in my unmowed section of my lawn. If I find any, I will takes pics of those, too!

Mess of wild strawberries------all about as big as wild blueberries.

Where do you use the tent cot? (because you have an rv...)??

Do you stack the wood, or just throw a tarp over it?

Great pics.

Soos, you don't have some kind of a cart or wheelbarrow that you can use to haul the wood? How far do you have to move it to stack it in the bldg? I broke a rib several years ago by coughing believe it or not, the Dr. just sent me to get a chest wrap and keep it tight to hold the ribs in place. Hope you're not in too much pain :(

Yes, my recipe's name came from the old ladies on the Walton's---and it's about as potent as well! Let's just say it makes me wanna dance up a storm when good music gets turned on!

I don't stack my firewood any more, although I used to. Now, yes, Mitch, I just throw a tarp over it before the first snow flies, if I am lucky! All that stacking and moving and restacking is a pain. Now I just carry it inside to my woodstove wood holder once or twice a day all winter long. I burn about 12 to 15 logs per day when it's cold, so that's a lot of good exercise.

That glass I photoed with the berries in it holds about a quart of liquid, although it doesn't look that big in the picture. I intend to use that next year when I retire! For now, the overdose of my recipe on the 4th will keep me drinking seltzer now for a good long time! And, no----there isn't any left over for 'medicinal' purposes!

My ribs are feeling a whole lot better tonight, so soon I'll be able to lift my gigundous tow hitch ball and equalizer and hitch up so I can practice backing into small spaces! But I need another day or two of being very careful. And there is absolutely nothing to do for cracked ribs but bind them for coughing or sneezing, and resting them to heal. I have no binding, so I hold them when I need to cough or sneeze.

I just turned on the furnace in here (I'm in the trailer) and it sure does feel good! It's dropping into the 40s at nght....some summer, eh?

Night to all.......
