I didn't get much sleep last night due to the high winds howling and stuff hitting the roof, etc. They say some gusts were up around 70mph. It is windy today but not nearly as bad as last night! I got up and got to my Dr appointment with no problem. She thinks it is a meniscus issue too. I am getting an appointment for an MRI and to see an orthopedic surgeon afterward. She said to stay off of my feet and rest the knee as much as possible and keep it wrapped when I am working. I am still having sciatica pain which affects that same knee but on the other side of it.
I have my first therapy session for that next week.
My tummy is really churning and growling this morning! I tried a banana but that didn't help. Then I had some creamy tomato soup with soda crackers. A little better but still grumbling.
So I am laying on my bed trying to relax and might take a nap shortly. Will just hang out here today.
The high today is only 53 but with the winds will feel much cooler. I have the heat turned on in my bedroom and a throw blanket over me. The dust was so thick all over everything outside this morning! I am glad I brought in the new chair cushions from the deck last night! There were palm fronds laying all over the streets this morning and in my yard and driveway. Probably what I kept hearing hitting the roof all night. The winds are supposed to die down this evening and then the rain will move in over night thru tomorrow. Highs only in the low 50's thru next weekend! The snow level will be down to less than 2000 feet tonight so the mountains will really be covered in white when this is over. Might even have snow on the lower mountains behind me in Joshua Tree NP.
Beth, good idea to stay put if you don't need to be someplace else. Martha has a smaller rig so she should be OK driving back.
Just saw these posted on our FB page...we now have sand-bottom pools!
The pool guys sure have their work cut out for them today, along with the landscape crew!
