Sue, your pictures are beautiful!!! I have never seen, nor used a “starter “. I know what they are as I’ve read about them. I am going to a birthday party today for one of my “greats “. He is turning 8 years old. Boy, how time is flying! O’Cast and cool here.
Bird watchers…ROBINS have suddenly arrived all over SD right now. Called an inversion. No one understands why, some speculate it’s because a food source (berries) are scattered all over town! Very exciting!

Good morning Lyn and all who follow! It's a bright, sunny, 52° here in my corner of Northern California. Shhhh, don't say it too loud and scare it away, but clouds are moving in for maybe a quick shower of rain!
Once I get organized and chores done, I'll be heading to Home Despot (yes that's what my sons and husband called it), to pay for lumber my handyman will load for fence repair. hope to get new lights to update my long hall lighting, which has 4 fixtures with hanging globes from when house was built. I'm tired of replacing LED bulbs which keep going out in these old fixtures.
Have a few items to prep for tomorrow Super Bowl. Will pre cook in IP the boneless ribs then tomorrow add sugar free BBQ sauce and heat and brown in air fryer in just minutes. Have a dip to make and shell eggs and make filling for deviled eggs, which I cooked last night. So easy to shell even cold when I do in IP. Cheering for KC Chiefs here!
Have a good weekend everyone.

Lyn, one of my groups in Arizona posted a picture of robins at their bird bath asking what they were. They've never had robins before and had no clue. I guess robins are invading!

If the weather folks are telling the truth I'll be lucky and have almost no wind driving tomorrow. My fingers are crossed. I would have hated driving the RV the last couple days.

Time to go grab my laundry from the dryer. Have a great day everyone.

Beth, where are you heading off to for the next 2 weeks?

Yesterday was fairly quiet at work which was nice. My left knee is really hurting lately so I wore my knee brace which helped some. I got a $6.66 tip from a guy yesterday... :? Have I been cursed??

I have today off so I got up and went to the craft fair here in the park. Lots of cool stuff but I just bought a self-help book that was written by a local lady.

At noon is our weekly "hamburgers" GTG at the clubhouse so will go to that in a bit.

It was cloudy and calm this morning but is now sunny and very breezy! Feels good tho! Have my windows open for a cross breeze in my bedroom. Hmmm! :D

Will check my "to-do" list when I get back to see what is left on there from earlier this week. At least there is no housecleaning, dishes or laundry left to do!

Good afternoon. Just finished with some housekeeping chores, fixed lunch, cleaned up the kitchen and will now just sit for a bit. I have a load of laundry in, then all my clothes will be clean. I want to finish cleaning the blinds in the family room. Those blind get so dusty but they really are not hard to clean I just need to do it more often. Then will have a Mocha and watch some tv, need to catch up still on my recorded shows. The weekend is always a good time to do that.

Going to have a panini sandwich for dinner with some leftover seafood salad and might make a small green salad also. I am back to monitoring what I am eating. I am happy with the weight I gained back just dont want to get carried away. It is Girl Scout season here but I am going to behave myself this year. I have some Belvita cookies I munch on occasionally so that will have to do LOL Got an appointment the end of the month for my follow up CT scan. I still have to go get some labs drawn that my Rheumatologist ordered and I can do that here, he gave me the slip so will do that this week. AND an eye doc appt also the end of the month, geez. But the good news is I feel good so guess I shouldnt complain.

Speaking of Robin’s. There have been some up in the UP all winter. I guess not all of them migrate. I’ve seen some pictures posted that people have taken. Another thing I wanted to share with you is this link if it comes through. For those of you who are on Facebook, you might want to really get into this, because this is a WebCam that is watching an Eagles nest. There is a pair of Eagles with two eggs there. This friends group posts pvideos from the cam and it’s really fun to watch. It also gives you a really good chance to see just how Eagles interact with each other and how they care for their eggs and their nest. It is something that we never see. The Eagles names are Shadow and Jackie.

It is a beautiful sunny day here in Northern Michigan and the temperature is about 40°. But pretty windy. I ran some errands today to Lowe’s, Home Depot and Walmart. Picked up a few things that I wanted to get so that I can continue with my little spackling/ touch up projects and I also got some wood to make my shadowbox. Still need some more material for that but I wanted to get the framing wood, so I can configure the layout and cut the wood to size. This is one of those projects that I really miss Hobby lobby. There may be an upcoming trip to Petoskey on Monday. There will be much rejoicing in this town when they break ground to start reconstruction in May. And Moore yet when the door is open in the fall if all goes as planned.

The dogs and I took a nice walk this afternoon. I know that Molly really wants to go back in the woods, but this is not the time to do it. There’s snowmobiles on the trails and also they just get ice balls in their paws. So she’s just going to have to be patient. Right now they are curled up on my loveseat having that after walk map.

Safe travels tomorrow Beth. Karen, Have fun dusting blinds. It’s become a habit for me to automatically do them every time I dust. Butthen I only have 4 windows with blinds, 3 others and my two entrance doors have cellular shades. My window wall has vertical blinds, but someday if I ever save up enough green to replace that window wall, I’m going to have those ones that have the blinds in the doors.

I'm going to an Escapees Lake Charles Mardi Gras Hangout that lasts a week. It's in Louisiana and Martha is going also. I'm taking my time getting there and back.

Sue, one of my favorite things of when I lived in Wisconsin was watching the bald eagles. I could see one nest from my living room windows (with binoculars) and when they had babies we kept our watch. We didn't tell many people but we often took our pontoon boat out and watched hoping to maybe be right there when they started flying. Thanks for the link.

There is an eagle cam in Florida where a pair of eagles has nested for the past 8 years. They hatched 2 eaglets in January. However, the female eagle has gone missing for over a week now and no one has seen her. The male is doing his best to take care of the eaglets and is trying to feed them and fight off predators. Very sad situation.
There is an eagle cam in Big Bear northeast of LA in the mountains. Haven't checked that one out yet.

It rained off and on all morning and the wind got here this afternoon. I could hear it blowing a while tonight but don't hear it now. The high was 64 but with the wind it felt colder. I haven't looked at the Lake Charles weather but Lafayette is suppose to have rain next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

I had to bring some things to my son and forgot the barricades were up for the parades in Lafayette. They reduce one of the main streets that is 4 lanes and a turn lane down to one lane going each way. I wanted to go to one of the specialty meat markets but I wasn't going to fight the traffic trying to get in the parking lot.

Another night of almost nothing I want to watch on TV. Football is almost over and now there's basketball on TV. I use to watch the shows on PBS on Saturday night but they changed some of the shows and I don't like the new ones.

Had a really nice lunch today with Cheryl and Brenda. I managed to find a good parking place next door, in the Best Buy parking lot, and then after lunch went in and bought a very small printer. Or at least I ordered one to pick up in Mesa. I have a large printer that I store under my dinette in the back and it is very hard to get out and put back in, especially since i keep it in its original carton. I figure with all the bouncing around this rig does, that is the only way to keep it working.

Also did four weeks worth of laundry this afternoon. It took me over two hours to fold it all when I got back to the campground. Whew! But at least I have clean clothes for a while.

it's always aggravating to think of something in response to something that was said and by the time I get to where I'm posting it's gone and not even a hint of it in the brain... it may come or it may not...
I went to the store and spent more than I have for two women one of which doesn't eat that much.... makes me wonder what in the world I over indulged in... I only bought 1 lb of hamburger and a lb of deli meats... that was all in the meat area... and no candy other than the two sharable M&M's I created a m&M monster... I can't believe what she can go through.. two stores but I did find the brushes for the water mug straw... had to buy a set that had 4 straws and 2 brushes ... well that is what I found so didn't look further...
I didn't do much other than go to the store's and got mom's RX
you all have a great day

Sheila, when you start your post, you can scroll down on that same screen to see the other posts (they will be in reverse order). That is what I do when I can't remember who said what or what I wanted to comment on.

Had a really good hamburger at the clubhouse. That event always draws a huge crowd. Usually over 300 people show up for it so the line is really long. I even got there a half hour after it started and still had to wait awhile. Stood in line with some friends and chatted so the time went by pretty quickly anyways.

I finally found some glasses at Zenni on line that I think I will like so I ordered them and also a pair of prescription sunglasses. Total for both was about $80. Now I will be able to see again! The eye dr showed me the difference with his lens machine, between the new prescription and my old one and it was a huge difference! No wonder I have a hard time driving, especially at night!

Was still really windy up to just a little while ago but calming down now. We are supposed to get high winds again tomorrow night into Monday.

Tomorrow morning is another pancake breakfast here. I will attempt to get up early, get ready for work, and head over for breakfast before heading off to work at 10. We'll see...

Good night!
