Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday

I love all the posts happening. But in the midst of them, no one started a new morning post. So I decided to.

Nothing exciting. Warm but windy today. I did laundry yesterday and will do so again Fri or Sat so that I leave for two weeks on Sunday able to last until I return. There was a fish fry here on Friday which I forgot about. The manager came and knocked on my door asking why I wasn't there. He remembered I liked fish. Then I felt guilty because I didn't have a side dish to bring. He convinced me to get my butt over and collect some fish. So glad I did. I'd already eaten so it went in the fridge and I had it for both Sat and Sun dinners. And the air fryer heated it perfectly.

Got a phone call this morning from a park in Florida who wanted me to come work for the summer. That's a case of people not checking my info, as I specifically had only certain states on my Workamper info page. I thanked them but said that wouldn't be in my area of travels for this summer. She tried to talk me into it anyway lol

I gave up trying to be a lawnmower mechanic and called the shop. I left the charger on the battery overnight and it still wouldn't start. I decided to go walking again and met the guy coming to pick it up before I got to the corner. He had gone all the way to the end of the road where there is no place to turn around. He had to put the charger on the battery too after I told him it had been charging overnight. It still wouldn't start. MEN The thing he had to pull the mower up on the trailer would only work feeding the cable out so he had to unspool the whole cable and rewind it go get the mower on the trailer. At least it's gone.

It's up to 75 again. It might be 80 on Wednesday with rain and then cool off again. I'm so hoping it will be warm for our Escapees Hangout.

I'm going to go see if the push mower will start and bring it to the old carport if it won't. Maybe I can catch Eddie coming to feed the cows and he can help me load it.

I didn't think this day would ever arrive again but I am actually sitting in a motel in Hutchinson , KS on my way to our winter quarters in Yuma, AZ. After not traveling for two years it seems weird to be on the road. We have no set route planned ahead but decide in the morning which rout we want to take. In Minnesota there is still 2 feet of frozen snow on the ground. In Kansas there is no snow and a slight tinge of green in some of the fields. We had several big challenges to o er come before getting out of town. Our furnace was acting odd and needed to be replaced. Got that done and the heater in the truck went out. Couldn't get it in to the repair shop for another week because of their schedule. Then we had 4 semi feral cats that hung around our barn. Not pets but not totally wild. Finally found an animal rescue farm that took them. A much better life for them than we were able to give them. Anyway we got out of Minnesota on Sunday and is it ever nice to see earth again.

Good evening. Had a nice drive down to Medford today. Even managed to get a haircut before dinner. Tomorrow we will be out running some errands. Going to Costco to get a couple of things and a roasted chicken. I am staying with a friend in the mobile home park where I was burnt out of. So was she but she came back. Her home is nice but they really need to get her yard leveled and landscaped. It is starting to take shape and looking much better.

Just finished dinner and now we are relaxing

Sheila, the fish was walleye and the volunteer position starts April 1st for 3 months.

Off to bed early for me but I'm hoping to get up early tomorrow.
