Thursday, Feb 2nd

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday, Feb 2nd

It's afternoon here. I attended the board meeting for my coop in Arizona this morning. Boring. But I learned the cost of one part of our annual payments and it's the least amount in my years being a member, so that's good.

I got an email from someone else wanting me to work for them. It's nice to be wanted and while I've been set on this one place, I think this could be a good fit also, so I'm not going to wait if we talk and I get offered this job.

My car just told me one tire has low air pressure. No one has ever found it to be so when it's told me that before but if it's warmer this afternoon I'll check all the tires. It's time to do that anyway. If I don't get this done until tomorrow my day trip into Mexico will wait. I'll make sure it happens before leaving for Louisiana.

Just finishing up a piece of pizza (brunch today).

It is 36 here and the sun is in and out. The ice is still really awful especially last night as what had melted on the surface refroze. Everything was like a skating rink and DH had gone out with friends. His balance isn't that great so I was worried he would fall coming up the walk. I don't know how he did it but he made it inside, the car though looked as though he abandoned it. He said the people across the street offered to drive it up more into the driveway for him but he told them thank you but it was fine. Ha!! I took a picture of it this morning and the back end was in the street. I was already not happy with him. I had just got everything cleaned up from Pippa throwing up all over. I found her chewing a piece of aluminum foil and I didn't know if she had swallowed any or how much she had originally. I Googled what to do and it said call your vet right away. They said to give her peroxide and told me how much. I really hated to do it but the other choice was to take her in as they felt it was really necessary just in case. I felt so bad as she threw up at least 6 times but no foil. Of course I called back and they said it wasn't unusual for them to throw up several times. By the time DH got home I figured out the source. He has chocolate bars that are wrapped in foil and he tore part of the foil off and apparently dropped it. Pippa seems fine this morning and seems to have forgiven me.

I got a chuckle from the misspellings too! I'm sure I've had a few also. Irmi send us just a few degrees of your warm weather please! Sue I keep going back and forth about getting a generator but they have definitely increased in price and DH needs a new car.

Good afternoon. Wish I had something decent to say except the chilly cloudy weather. Nothing exciting on the front here. Cleaned out my refrigerator this morning. Needed to wipe down the shelves, for some reason they often get messy.
Tina my Henry has today and tomorrow off LOL I dont feel the need to vacuum everyday even tho I like watching him work!!! Anne I also enjoyed meeting you and we had a good time at those GTG's. I loved making new friends all the time. I miss that pat of RV'ing
BJ does your husband need a new car because someone ran into it's back end on the street LOL LOL Sorry to hear Pippa had a bad experience yesterday but I am sure she has forgiven you. Beth I hope you find the right job for you. At least you have choices it sounds like.

Well plan to have a Baileys and Coffee to celebrate my trip around the sun. I said I didnt want anymore Birthdays but then decided that wording probably isnt the right thing to say. I think what I should say is I am not celebrating anymore birthdays LOL LOL

It has actually been almost warm today. I got up and went out to unhook and change sites, but discovered i did not need a sweatshirt, so took it off. I was even comfortable in shorts and a t-shirt. I was happy to find this site was easier to get into than the one I had had for the last three days. That was was a back-in, but it was an uphill back-in, and there was a covered picnic table on one side that I almost ran into because my backup camera is not working. When your rig is on a steep slope, there is no getting out and looking, but some neighbors helped out. This one had a tree on one side and the covered picnic table awning, but at least it was not uphill so I could at least get out and look.

This campground is very hilly and curvy, but that means that most of the sites have views of the lake and the mountains in the distance on both sides. Sites also are paved and fairly wide, and have both water and electric hookups, just a bit challenging to get into. I have to move again in the morning, and checked that site out. It is a pull-through overlooking the lake, but has a small tree on one side, so will have to be careful there!!

Picked up my mail yesterday, so spent some time sorting through stuff that is mine and my aunt's. Dealt with a couple of bills and some tax documents, but nothing terribly interesting. Sunny and slightly warm weather with nice views does make the day more pleasant, at least, even if it is not exciting. Oh, and my mosquito bite is calming down nicely, not burning or even itching much.

Barbie hasn't posted yet so I will have to be careful when I post and make sure that I post successfully
I did the procrastinating bit today was going to go to the store and pick up a few things and see if I can find a place to get my glasses straitened don't know how they got so far out of whack but they are really not straight... finally got off the bed and dressed then on to the job I decided to do instead of going to the store... I had looked at the fridge and for once it didn't have a lot of left over's or stuff ready for fixing for a meal... so thought a really good time to clean it out wipe it out ect so did that what I thought would be just a little bit took longer than anticipated and when I got done I really needed a break didn't even Swedish Weave although I did color for a few then started supper... usually have meat balls in the freezer so I fixed spaghetti and meat balls... a salad as well for me and a bit of relish tray stuff that went into the salad or could other than the peanut butter stuffed celery... she seems to like it really well I was lucky and got three pieces  I cut the stalks in two or three pieces... almost bite sized this way she is getting a bit more protein.
only did one row of crocheting didn't get started early enough and interruptions
I hate doing things that when you walk through the house you think it doesn't look like you did anything but doing the fridge was more than I wanted to do
good luck with the job search Beth... Yellowstone is always looking for help
a couple weeks ago perhaps maybe not that long ago I notice blooms on the orchid that my brother gave me I think for Mother's day he also gave one to mom a bit larger that is as it should be... so been watching mom's a bit and thought I really need to cut that dead stem out so yesterday I thought once again that I should cut it out (oh I actually moved it a few days ago ) so I think yesterday I was looking at it and again thought I need to cut that stem out then noticed something that I thought was a cord then realized it wasn't a cord it was coming from the plant so cut the stem out and put the other step up so it's going up ward not sideways... I think it has a bud coming out... it would be so nice ...
I look some times at the video's that the weather on phone has and today they had a young skater out practicing one the sidewalk as it's too icy to get to her rink to practice
you all have a great day

Karen I'm still giggling at your comment "BJ does your husband need a new car because someone ran into it's back end on the street LOL LOL" Thank goodness we live on a pretty quiet street, we don't even have sidewalks although we are in town so most everyone drives slowly as its a favorite place to walk. His reason is it's a '17 Subaru and has 100,000+ miles on it. He says when you have that many miles it needs some type of expensive work....hum. Pippa seems fine and says she will forgive me if I don't give her any more yucky rice!
It is still very icy but the sun is supposed to be out all day so hoping enough will melt so it isn't so dangerous to drive and I can meet my friends this afternoon for our Friday 'summit meeting' to discuss our lives and the times.

Karen - You can still celebrate your birthdays. Just don't have to count them. When I had my pacemaker procedure last year just before my birthday, I complained about being old and feeling decrepit and a young tech (looked to be 14) said oh, no, think of it this way: You have successfully gotten yourself to this age so that is something to celebrate! So, Happy Birthday again - I'll join you for that Bailey's.
