Merry Christmas Sue and All, it’s 13° and dark. I’m at #1 daughters and they were up early. They go to their daughters to watch grandchildren open gifts. I chose to stay behind, drink coffee and relax. Family will gather again here today. Sue, thanks for the picture picture and your beautiful message. I’m still half asleep. Who gets up this early. Everyone have a peaceful day. Stay warm and be safe

Merry Christmas everyone! I'm almost guilty to say it's going to be really nice here in Southern California today. Seems like up and down weather all over lately. We're supposed to get rain mid week and we need more of that. Hopefully help our draught. Too bad we can't all meet up on Sue's deck and make snowmen in her yard with all that wet snow!

Thought that I might mention that I did not make that reindeer. I bought him from a vendor that was here with Shipshewana on the Road in October. He was just too darn cute to pass up.

Evie, that 2 feet of snow that I have out here is so soft and fluffy you can’t even make a snowball out of it. But wouldn’t that have been a fun thing. Being that this group is nown for its food at get together’s, we could’ve had ourselves quite a feast

We are still getting some light snow from Lake effect, but the blizzard warnings have been canceled and we are now under just a winter weather advisory. The county is only going to maintain the primary roads only today and they will finish plowing out the rest of the roads tomorrow. Enough was accomplished to let people at least get out and go where they want to this day if they choose, except for those who may still be snowed in that are too drifted or they didn’t get to. I can’t tell if they did my road or not, but I will find out when I go out in a little while. I am going over to do my neighbors driveway. We only had maybe a couple two or 3 inches last night, but I have not done their driveway since the storm started and I wanted to get it done before the county comes and really piles that snow up.

Good Morning to All I hope those of you in the path of the bad storm are all okay and that it will pass soon. I remember storms like that when I was little and we lived in Jamestown, NY and later when we lived in Casper, Wy. Glad to not have to deal with it in our Golden Years. We are pretty much staying in the RV because there are thousands of tourists in Mazatlan for the next week or so. Traffic is most moving at .05 mph. Could walk faster. Hotels at 100% capacity! Mostly Nationals. Most everyone in the RV park has Christmas lights up. This year there are 24 of us right now. Compared to the last couple of years when there were 3 or four of us. Bill got up around 3 a.m. so he is now back in bed asleep.
Have a wonderful Christmas Day.

Merry Christmas! I was up way too late, so still in bed. Barely awake. Enjoy your day where ever you are.

Merry Christmas ladies!

Sue, I would have loved to put together a mid morning brunch or afternoon lunch for all of us!

It is still cold in FL and we are just above freezing and will get into the mid 40's with sunshine. We've spent the past two nights in the casita and will do that again tonight. As of tomorrow night, we'll be comfortable sleeping in the motorhome. Right now we have the hose disconnected and heat on low.

The Christmas Eve service in church went well and was well attended despite the cold weather. Enjoy the day, however you decide to spend it.

Merry Christmas to all of you. It's a subdued day here as my son got sick yesterday, running a fever. It broke late last night, but cause remains a mystery. So even quieter than usual here. Be safe everyone.

Merry Christmas!

As some of you have seen on FB, our building was awakened by the fire alarm around 6 a.m. Management dropped the ball and heat was not turned on in vacant 2nd floor apartment. Sprinkler system pipe broke. Neighbors have a real mess and will be moving to a hotel. Water seeped into my apartment - bathroom, kitchen and dining room. Wet vacs were brought in and restoration company is coming with dehumidifers and fans. We had quite a hallway gathering this morning. This too shall pass.

Hope you are all having a wonderful day. Velma, hope your son feels better.

Oh Anita what a rude awakening. But as you say, this too shall pass. Seems like most of the time it does.
Dense fog advisory for us this morning it is just now letting the sun peek out so it will be gone soon and our temp will be 61 today. Quiet subdued day here too. Working on a few small projects, cleaned the kitchen, working on the kitchen dining area now. Need to get another box for the donation center started. Want to take that over this week. I have alot of Christmas ornaments that I will never use so might as well donate them too. People scour the donation stores for lots of Christmas stuff people get rid of. I should have done this last month but didnt really think of it. I need to go to a couple and see if they have any plant pots as I can now repot my Thanksgiving cacti. I have 2 of them but they desperately need a repot.
Salmon for dinner tonight with cauliflower and cheese sauce. Sounds good already LOL and I had breakfast. Will have an early lunch then an early dinner. I am not going to watch one more Christmas movie, I am over Christmas LOL

Sue, I thought your animal was a bear. The red nose should have been a hint. lol He's cute.

I wasn't going to cook but bought a turkey leg yesterday so baked it. I like the thighs a lot more.

Anita, what a mess for Christmas. At least someone else has to clean it up.

The low last night was 25 and it's up to 48. We only have to survive one more night of freezing. It will be 70 by Wednesday and then it's going to start raining. My brother called this morning and he has been out snow blowing all morning. The snow was 3 foot in some places. I would like to see them come to Louisiana for the winter.

Guess I should get dressed and not spend the day in my pj's. Have a Merry Christmas.

Oh Anita, I just read your post on FB, then here. So sorry. Hugs. And if you're walking in water, maybe let them pay for a motel for you for a night or two while they do their work drying, etc? And look at everything you own to make sure water hasn't damaged anything. Make sure they cover it all.

My fruit salad is ready for our dinner. Just sitting around until it's time. Probably should get Ty out first, too.

Merry Christmas gals! :D

Yesterday was fairly quiet at work. The new girl never showed up for work  so it is good that we weren't too busy. My back hurts tho from 3 long days in a row, so the heating pad is getting a workout!

This morning Romeow and I got up and went thru our X-Mas stocking. He got some great stuff from Santa! He got new mousies which he was so excited about! Also got a new stick toy with a birdy dangling from it, that suction cups to the window (or closet mirrored door in my case) which he is also very happy about since he destroyed that last one. He has been playing all morning with all that and is now taking a nap. I got some chocolate goodies... Santa knows what we both love!

I got another stick toy for Debbie & Dave's cat and delivered that this morning. Debbie wanted to get one like I had but they don't sell them in the stores anymore so I had to order these two online.

I made two mini floral arrangements for our dinner table tonight. The floral dept of the grocery stores were out of a lot of stuff so I just got red Persian lilies and white baby's breath. They turned out nice. Then tried to tackle the strawberry "Santa hats" but that was pretty much a disaster. So those won't be leaving the house. I got some red glittery battery operated tea lights to put at each place setting, along with a Ghiradeili chocolate/peppermint square to go with it. So that should be enough of a contribution from me. Will bring some Baileys for myself since I don't drink wine (which is being provided).

Am working on one load of laundry and then will shower, get dressed and do my hair and makeup. Happy hour starts at 4pm and dinner at 5. I just finished the last of my cole slaw for lunch, so I should be plenty hungry by then.

Hope you all find an enjoyable way to celebrate today whether alone, with pets, with family, or friends old and new.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
