I would love to get a kitten and almost did a year ago. The problem is that I also like to visit museums and such, which means leaving my motorhome in a parking lot somewhere. I do not want to leave a cat even for a few hours in a motorhome which may be too hot or too cold. It would be different if I had a trailer with a tow vehicle so that I could leave my RV parked with electric for heat or AC while I visited places. It would also be different if I towed a car behind my RV, but I don't want that expense or trouble.

Also, while my aunt is alive, I need to personally visit her a couple of times a year, and that means flying out to Atlanta for a few days. Ditto for flying out to Ohio next Christmas. That would mean boarding a cat for several days a few times each year, and I don't want to do that either.

So, until I give up my constant travel and am more settled in an apartment or house, I have decided it is not fair to the animal to get any kind of a pet.
