OMG Tina so exciting. Surprised all of you just one, but hey for her first time sounds like she did great. I know with working L&D and NICU all too well the things that can go wrong in a very quick way. I am so happy for you that all went well.

I got my new phone tonight at around 5pm....so watched a few videos and decided I would give it a whirl tonite instead of waiting until tomorrow. All went pretty simple. Had to text Laura just to make sure I had service, it was her or 911 LOL LOL Now I am playing with it trying to set it up and configure it the way I want it. That will probably take several more videos but I am now only paying $30 a month so I am happy. And I have a decent signal here.

Yay Tina! That's exciting. Hope Mom and baby stay well and can't wait for pictures!

And Karen, new phone and service is fun, too.

Congratulations Tyna so happy the puppy was born and is safe and healthy...
I saw a thing on the weather that two had died in the earthquake but the video wasn't ready I guess... because I couldn't watch it... I have only felt one that I'm aware of it was in SLC was pregnant at the time and just thought I was some what dizzy that morning... got to work and we had to hang outside the building while they checked to see if the building was safe... later lived in an area that they always talked about the big one that would not when but would happen and it may but so fare it hasn't
so far the storm has pretty much been a dud here... still a chance of it over night and tomorrow but we should have gotten some today as well and all it was was cloudy.... we didn't even have the winds that were predicted... it's for sure though that the cold that they are predicting will happen though :( saw on one night down to -20 and one day the high was 0 I am so not looking forward to that... I am just not looking forward to it!!!
so it was another do nothing day... one day I will get out of this hump and be willing to get up do something... it's just so easy to lay on the bed under the heated throw and cruise FB or do word search or read... in the mean time the floors aren't getting vacuumed and other things stay undone... I do get the meals done though.. I'll worry if that doesn't happen
Beth hopefully you hear about your car soon
you all have a great day

BJ, you are not alone. I have generally been depressed at Christmas; the last couple of Pandemic years I have just pretty much ignored everything about the holiday - the carols, the lights, the decorations, the works (although, when younger and my kids were still at home, I loved Christmas).

For some reason, ignoring things has seemed to help with the depression quite a bit. I don't even like to listen to Christmas music anymore. Christmas tv shows and movies? No way, forget about it.

Yes, there were two that died from the earthquake, one in their 70's and a 3 year old. Both died while waiting to get to a hospital but the roads were impassible so couldn't get there in time. I think that area is near the top end of the San Andreas fault. Earthquakes are fairly common in that area.

Watched a little TV and skimmed thru some of the books I got. Most will be very interesting to read!

I finished that whole 1.5 lbs of cole slaw today! :o I added mini marshmallows, pineapple tidbits, and some extra mayo to it and it was SO good!

I just weighed Romeow and he is up to 11 lbs now! I think I adopted a tiger cub! He isn't getting fat at all, just solid, and his fur is getting longer all over. He is a big heavy fluffball!

I need to call work tomorrow and find out my new schedule starting on Saturday. I am assuming I work on Christmas Eve especially since we lost another stylist, so there are only 3 of us now. She was working at both salons so both are short-handed now. I sure would like to be the next one to leave!

Got a couple haircuts to do tomorrow and some housecleaning to do before going back to work on Thursday. I wasn't sore today like I thought I would be after 2 hours of hiking yesterday. It was listed as an "easy" hike but there were some rocky areas and hills to climb so I got a workout. Did take some breaks to listen to the water running in the creek and enjoy the scenery. Luckily, it wasn't very busy so it was pretty quiet other than the water. I still need to go thru the photos to post on here.

I think we will win the best Christmas weather award here. Will be in the upper 70's this week and low 80's over the holiday weekend! I think everyone else will be in the deep freeze around a lot of the country and otherwise colder than normal everywhere else. MN is in for more snow tomorrow and blizzard conditions into the weekend with windchills down to -30*. I sure don't miss that! This is the time of year tho that the bottom drops out and then stays that way all the way thru February. I remember so many Christmas's where the cars wouldn't start, but if they did, we let them run and warm up for about 15 minutes while we stayed inside the house to stay warm! So I feel for those of you having to deal with that now!

Stay warm and cozy!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
