Working in Silver City New Mexico

As most of you know I'm workamping at the KOA in Silver City New Mexico. The people I'm working for, Jackie and Jim, are really wonderful, thoughtful people. They have two workamping couples and me. Jackie asked me how she could find more solo workers like me and I suggested she post on our forum. I checked with Beth to be sure it would be okay and I will show Jackie how to join the forum. She will be looking for next summer so if you might be interested in spending time in New Mexico, think about emailing her. Just how hot does it get in New Mexico in the summer?

Yes, the days get into the low 90's but not humid. This nights usually cool down into the 60's. July/August are the monsoon months. Clouds up around 4pm, thunders, rains then clears for the night. Cools things off. Up to July the days were mostly in the 80's. I'm okay with heat but NOT humidity. The altitude here is 5900 ft.

Kelpie, don't let 90 degrees scare you off, 90 can be quite comfortable when
there is no humidity. Although NM is not as dry as Arizona its still pretty mild.
I looked into that area for my retirement, down the road from Silver City I
found a fulltime type park for like 135 a month and all 4 seasons are mild.

Yep, the low humidity is what brings me to New Mexico from Texas. Right now the humidity here is 23% and back home in Texas its 68%. The nights cool down which doesn't happen in Kerrville.
