Friday November 18

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Friday November 18

The weather people missed the low last night. They were predicting a freeze but it only got down to 37. Fine by me. I think it's supposed e to be warmer next week.

I went to Petsmart and TJ Maxx yesterday. Petsmart had Christmas pet beds on sale so I got 4 small ones for the outside cats. Mr P won't go in the old house. I see him on the camera going back and forth across the front porch all night. He set the camera off 40 times. I put an old plastic cat house on the back porch. The neighbor's cat that is here 99% of the time has taken it over. The parking lot at TJ Maxx was full. The Christmas shoppers are out. The traffic is terrible and will only get worse.

I'm glad I read the Banana Brownie recipe because I thought they would be chocolate and they aren't. They sound good so I will try to make them when I get some bananas.

I'm trying to decide if I want fried catfish bad enough to go to town. Today the deli has Shrimp Stew and Fried Catfish.

Mornin' Martha and all that follow~~~

Your kitties and Sugar sure keep you busy Martha!

I've been semi-busy the last few days. Pretty much have the inside packed, but took a ride to Home Depot this morning for a few extra bins. Since I don't have the luxury of just taking things out and putting them in leisurely like I did, using dad's garage, for the current camper, I'll just to have a minimal amount of things that will be loose for transferring things in the parking lot. Luckily, I already have alot of things in bins like clothes (in plastic drawers) and even most of the dry goods, etc, so I'll just throw the bins in the new trailer and organize at my own pace. Today I need to tackle the basement storage and have to figure out what to keep or not. I should do the same with the truck bed, or at least organize that better since some basement stuff may end up there, but the satellite dish, chairs and tool chest are already there. Maybe my next purchase should be a long bed truck.

I'll definately be spending tomorrow at the CG. El Tour de Tucson (multiple bike races) is tomorrow and it's a huge route with multiple closures, including I-10 exits. Supposedly if there are big enough breaks in the bikes, they will let traffic through, but who needs that headache?

That's all from sunny Tucson. Cool nights, mid-70s during the day, but at least no freeze, yet, so I haven't turned in the furnace.

Have a good day ladies! Stay warm and out of the snow off your getting hit. I sure don't miss that!

I'm laughing because I wanted chocolate in the recipe lolol
I'm not sure the low last night going to guess mid to upper 30's but it's been climbing nicely so far and might get to 70 today

The hospital called and my dexa is scheduled for Tuesday morning. I'm doubting the mammogram will get in before I leave but it's not as important to me and I'll make sure I stay long enough to get it in the spring, if necessary.

One load in my washer with another waiting and if I pull my sheets another to follow that one. It's supposed to be sunny today so everything should dry fast on the line (that I haven't put out yet). When the 2nd wash is in I'm heading to the grocery store. I'm hoping I won't see the crowds everyone is talking about.

Slept about 10 hours overnight! I sure needed it! So happy to have today off!

I have a list of things to do today (of course  ) but mostly just putting stuff away and taking photos of the rest of the house, inside and out. My agent put up the For Sale sign yesterday. :D

Have a haircut to do at 11 this morning. Looks like another beautiful day! I think the winds are supposed to pick up later tho.

I went to get a ticket for the Thanksgiving dinner here and they were sold out already. I put my name on the waiting list but doubt I will get called. I will find something to make to eat here and relax that day.

I will be calling the gas company today and see if they will come out and check things out for me. Also want to get my ebike cleaned up and tires aired up, and get ready to sell.

Back to work tomorrow but only for half a day, and then Sunday off. Last week was a rough one!

Have a good day and stay warm!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

COLD 27 here this morning AND foggy which makes it feel even colder then add the light breeze to that and I can say I am officially frozen in a short period of time LOL Thank goodness the dog was speedy.

I really need to get dressed and go get a few groceries or wait til Sunday and I can get my fixins for the salad I am bringing to Thanksgiving, that sounds like a better idea.

Glad you have a day off Barbie, sounds like you really needed it. I woke up at 3am and couldnt go back to sleep but I am not taking a nap today I will just go to bed early. I went to sleep at 10 last night so not sure why I was wide awake at that ungodly hour. I am not making anything for dinner as I need to start eating out of the freezer, so I can put more stuff in it LOL Between my pantry and my freezer I have lots of choices. Martha your cats live pretty well at your house, nice you take such good care of them. Sugar I am sure is spoiled too.....gotta love spoiling our animals that is for sure.

Almost noon and still in the 20s at noon plus stagnant air until Monday. It is sunny and bright though! :)

Karen, sorry about your cousin's passing. Beth, I'm sure that movie will be repeated many times! Velda, here's hoping you have more better days that bad from here on!

Seems like when I start to get a handle on things here, something else crops up. Livingroom is a mess again after bringing containers of Christmas decor in from the garage. Going to attack that today. My brother saw a surgeon yesterday and things don't look so cut and dried as they thought. He'll have a big decision to make. Thank goodness they will send him to a Seattle hospital. This is the time of year 2 friends lost their husbands and one of them lost a son-in-law.

Well I better go put some happy music on and get out of this mood.

I forgot that today is the big park yard sale. Not that I had anything left to put in it. But after the haircut I did, I drove around and checked out the other sales. I ended up only spending $3.25, so not bad!

Now just making a tuna/potato chip hotdish for lunch and then get to my list of small things to do. I need to add laundry to the list since I have nothing clean left to wear!

I don't know Montana that well but a maple farm??? perhaps as I said I don't know it but it just doesn't sound right.... and then she gives him a cowboy hat at the end .... not sure if it's the hat the head or both but it wasn't the right fit at all!!!!
so sorry for your loss as well Karen
Beth you mentioned the other day you didn't know if you will go back to the motel... what will you do any good ideas yet? as to chocolate in the brownies I love chocolate chips in banana nut bread so don't know why it wouldn't work in this or for that matter why not put chocolate in it I would use the powder... I mean they put chocolate in red velvet cake so why not??? watched Bobby Flay make a red velvet hot chocolate... he likes his thick and not sweet put in cocoa powder and semi sweet bar and no sugar said two or three times that it wasn't very sweet... me I like it sweeter...
