Barbie, sorry you are having such a difficult time with SS. Brings me back to when I applied. I was at work, but they had already hired my replacement, and after training him, I had lots of extra time. I swear I spent two whole days on the phone at work applying! Very, very frustrating, but it will all be done soon.

Barbie, I had to spend hours on hold to talk to someone to confirm my ss starting. And like you, I was expecting it to start a month before it's going to. It's still not showing up on my social security account online and I got told it would "eventually"

Yes it's a mess.

I don't know why but today was a day that I just wanted to be over ... helped mom get a shower I totally need a patience pill... I swear a snail is faster... or a turtle then she isn't being careful with her "pain" pills its just generic fake Tylenol but last night I told her if she wasn't more careful about when she takes them I would have to put them where she would have to ask me for them... and I don't want to do that I totally want her to be able to do as much as she can for herself...
then went to the store saw strawberries just the smaller clam shell for 7 something it was organic but totally not worth that much... I like to keep them on hand as it's easy for her to get some when she gets hungry in the night time... bought a wedge of watermelon but forgot to tell her about it... cut it up in chunks... so it's easier for her to handle.... so aggravating when I went into the store I didn't plan on getting as much as I ended up getting so only took in two bags... so what did the clerk do but put all the groceries in those two bags should have asked if I wanted to put some in my cart or pay for a bag or but no they put them all in the two bags... fortunately someone came by and lifted the heaviest of the bags into the car for me as I couldn't pick it up when I got to the house I took some out and put them into another bag it was still heavy... just so  almost a hundred dollars and didn't even get meat!!!
Judy the DNA tends to change as they do more refining I guess... I was really surprised that my german percentage wasn't higher...
Beth that area is so pretty if I could afford a house there I'd look into it
we are suppose to get a storm in tomorrow guess I will believe it when I see it... but it's suppose to be 90% chance in some of the hours...
you all take care

I actually had to just turn on the heat in here! :o Once the sun set it really cooled off and started getting chilly in here. Even put my flannel PJ's on!

Am still having issues with the phone thing. Got an email earlier saying that the zip codes don't match between the two carriers, so I got on a chat with the old carrier and they did something to fix that (they had the zip code on file from when I lived in San Diego). I then got on the chat with the new carrier and sat on there waiting in queue for almost an hour before giving up since it was almost time to get ready for bed. Will try again tomorrow. Just want to make sure things are now OK on their end.

Feeling toasty now. :D

Beth - We had a Colorado Adventures membership for years! Home park was Needles and we would stop there, either coming or going each time we went on a trip. Gave us an evening or two in Laughlin. But we almost always stayed at Emerald Cove between Christmas and New Year's and visited all of the other member parks at times, too. We were Coast to Coast members, and used that often when we traveled, but found Passport America to be a better option. Financially, for us, it probably wasn't a smart investment to buy Colorado Adventures since we bought in at full price and after a year or two traded up to the Deluxe CC. Wouldn't you use your RV space more often between trips or are you just considering another locale for a "hole to pull into" as my Dad used to say?

We didn't know about used memberships when we bought in - but I would check that they have full privileges and time length for resales. I used to see ads in the camping magazines for people selling their memberships independently but I don't remember the reason why we couldn't do that. We just turned our membership in when we no longer needed it.

Evie, I'm thinking especially about my trip to east, Maine especially. I think I could make my membership back on that trip alone. And they have a shorter term one that I hadn't found one being sold on the market that equals or is less. That said, because I don't know what I'm doing next summer yet, I didn't purchase. If I had this membership the past several years I probably would have traveled more, worked less. The others I've looked at I wouldn't have used as much as I think I would this one. Their locations make a big difference for me. That said, it's not happening now.
