Saturday in San Carlos

Good Morning to A.. - Yep we are now in Mexico. We left Arizona yesterday morning planning to go 100 miles into Mexico and stop for the day. So we didn't leave until after ten o'clock. Well we got to where we were going to stop and Bill said it's too early, so on we went another 200 miles to San Carlos. Luckily the roads were good and we finally stopped at four o'clock. Going to stay here for a week. Nice weather, good campground and good wifi. Weather will be almost perfect. mid 80's for day and mid 60's for night.
Judy and Sandi glad all is well. I do read every day but was conserving wifi in Arizona. We finally got our toilet fixed. has new flair and new valve. And door closes with out slamming it. But when we were getting ready to go had a problem with one leveler. wouldn't come up. But luckily when Bill turned engine on up it went.
Today we are going to do nothing, but maybe walk on beach.

Boy, miss one day out here and a whole lot to catch up on. Catherine going back to work, Judy and Karolyn get together, Velda having back issues, hope your chiropractor put you back together. Sandi, thanks for reporting in as I to was wondering how your procedure went. I think my one cousin by marriage up here is going to have to have that done too if she decides to go that way. It’s getting some more tests done first. Beth, glad to hear that you will be hitting the road hopefully by the first of the week. BJ and Martha, if you are looking for accoubting sheets, try online. Lyn, enjoy visiting with your daughter. Sure I have missed others, but there has been so much to read, I I can’t remember at all As to there being an egg shortage, it appears that chickens have not been laying there this year. I’ve been talking with people who either have chickens. Talking with a gal at the place I get my Vitamin D supplements from, She said the same thing. They sell organic eggs and milk and all that stuff, and they can’t get eggs either. The the cost of feed has gone up so much, that a lot of people have quit raising chickens. Plus the bird flu is affecting the bigger companies that do chickens too. Shirl, I will be posting pictures of my latest project next week, as it will be in place on the 1st out by the front entrance.

As to my energy level, I have been tired more than I should be, but I am moving myself regardless. But then I got to thinking that I have been off of my vitamin D supplements and started taking them again yesterday. Fatigue is one of the things that you can get when you are low on vitamin D. So is having trouble sleeping, which I have been. The other thing that motivates me to get busy this time of year is the fact that I know that the window is closing on getting outside work finished up. Takes most of the morning for things to dry out from having overnight frosts now. We have already had snow twice and it won’t be long before coming back to stay. I have finished up my neighbors yard across the road and at the moment I have my leaves under control and only one tree left to drop leaves. My oak trees still have some up there, but oaks can drop all winter long. Today I am going to make a final pass over the sub entrance and also go back over the pathway again. Probably tomorrow I will give my neighbors lawn tractor a bath and remove its battery and put it away for them for the winter. I Don’t know if I will do mine or not, might wait a day or two. But I definitely wanna put it away this coming week. Any more leaves that come down after this, I can take care of with my blower. I also want to get the driveway markers put out too. And make one final cleaning of my gutters. We have a really nice weather pattern all the way until the end of next week so I’m gonna take advantage of that. I do have to go in on Thursday to have some MOHS surgery and a basal cell spot on side of my face so that they will be out as far as doing anything is concerned.

But the morning is moving on and I have got to get going. . So y’all have a nice day.

Yes chiropractor worked on my neck and back. Neck good this morning. Back quite stiff, as expected. He said he could feel swelling in the joint in lower back where hip connects. I iced last night and will today. And taking extra CBD.
Other than dice onion and peppers for chili, I'm going to mostly take it easy today. Tomorrow will brown veg and meat and start chili simmering for Monday. Chris always helps do the meat.
Sun shining and 60° at 9:20. Sure hope rain actually comes later in next mid week. Had to get up and robust son, as he will be handling visit of phone company tech to replace modem for our Internet and phone.

Good morning. Nothing new going on here except housework chores. Trying to get every room done so I can rest on my laurels for a while. Going to make my chicken enchiladas this morning as I have to take the meat off the roasted chicken I bought. They are the biggest darn chickens from Costco. So will use what I can for some enchiladas then make up the sour cream and cream of chicken soup and cheese for the filling and freeze the rest.

Nice day today already, a typical fall day. I love it. We do have rain coming but for some reason we dont really get that much. Most of it goes north and some goes south around us.
Would suit me fine if we were not still in a drought.

Energizer bunny Sue is still at it. Some days she just makes me tired LOL I wish I had her energy and I do take vitamin D, maybe I need to double it ha ha Velda hope your back gets back to 100% I hate it when I hurt my back. Your chili is way more involved than mine I think. Probably tastes awesome tho. Bill and Carol are in their happy place, Mexico. Shirl is off accompaning her daughter and having lunch out, sounds like a fun day to me.

Getting busy while the motivation is still here.

Just on my lunch break here. Already had to do some damage control with a customer. One of the stylists decided she didn't like one of her customers and refused to dry her hair so she sent her to the lobby with dripping wet hair and a towel! . I went over and talked to the lady and got another towel to towel dry her hair for her. I offered to dry it for her but she said she was fine with a towel dry. She thanked me for being so nice to her. I even offered to not charge her for her shampoo but she insisted on paying. The stylist later said she won't put up with a bad attitude so refused to finish the job. I thought the lady was very nice. Geesh!

I was able to cheer up one of my customers earlier who was having a bad day. A little kindness and compassion can go a long way.

Hope the rest of the day gets less stressful.

My left shoulder is hurting today. The ache goes down into my elbow. Been using some CBD ointment on it.

No yapping dogs this morning! Yay!

Beth, I'm sure you are ready to be headed out, but you've been in a lovely area. Sheila, cruising the Panama Canal in early January. Velda, glad the chiropractor was able to help!

Day is cloudy and 56. We had frost overnight. With football game and soon a baseball game, I'm not accomplishing much. Weekends are like that at this time of year. Going to get my Covid booster Monday so expect some days next week will be spent tired.

Regarding my granddaughter - once they removed her colon, I thought her life would be easier. Quite frankly, I'm not sure what all is going on. Dr. just put her back on steroids. She has had some nasty skin ulcers which formed a fistula in her stoma (belly opening), inflammation of her liver, and arthritis - those are the things I know about. She just keeps going and her fiancé must be the best guy ever! There have been x-rays, MRIs and an ileoscopy this month. She works for an online accounting firm which is probably a blessing with all the appointments.

a Christmas movie with 5 minutes to go and so far it's not an happy closing... boy didn't get girl yet guess we will see... wow what an ending!!!! absolutely unexpected... and just in case any of you watch Hallmark Movies and Mysterys I won't give it away
I finally got the floor mopped it was about time... and did 3 half rows on the Swedish Weave...didn't make any mistakes so that helped...
and didn't leave the house...
another movie not seen or at least at this moment I don't recognize it... that may change though
so that was my day and started another book
and also got my two rows on my crocheted afghan done... hopefully Monday will try and find a parking spot at the yarn shop so they can help me fix my knitting problem

so sorry about your granddaughter's health issues Anita. it is hard when things spiral and you don't know totally what is going on...
was thinking earlier today that I wanted to look for something but it's hard to find it if you don't know what it is... we had problems with mom's siding screen door did all sorts of repair think the frame is perhaps warped although it's metal but something isn't letting it slide well and there is a gap... so would have flies come in if we used it so it didn't get used... mom just hates flies... so got to thinking about this thing that I used to see in those catalogs that would come to the house often finally recalled the name of one of them it was Harriet Carter but know that there was another one of similar type but can't remember the name of it... what I'm looking for is a screen door but it wasn't on a frame so it could be hung where one didn't have a screen door... think if I can figure out what to call it and it matches how it's listed that it would probably work...
it's just sad that people can't be kind ... it was kind of you Barbie to try and help the customer get her full service...

Sheila, I have a portable screen door on the balcony door. It hangs on an expansion rod to hang from and a weighted bottom. Bought from Amazon. I will see if I can find it and post https://a.co/d/97hi2lc

More expensive than when I bought it 4 yrs ago. This screen has never fallen down but I’m not sure how secure a magnet would be. Check reviews on Amazon.
