And now it’s Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

And now it’s Thursday

Again it’s afternoon and I just came in from mowing the backyard. Would like to do the front but don’t want to disturb the painters and the truck in the driveway. They asked me yesterday if they could come over the weekend and of course I said yes. Wouldn’t mind having a day to myself but also want to have this job finished! So far no rain in the forecast until next Thursday but that always subject to change! It’s forecasted to get up to 72 today so figure this is one of the last days we’ll have temps in the 70’s. At least I mowed the back! Remains to be seen if I’ll need to mow again! Or drag out the snowblower! We’ve had snow this early so it’s not impossible! So other then that my next week or so will just be the same as it’s been! I know the painters would like to get this finished too! Furnace got new parts and so far so good! Sandi, love the photos of your trip! Memories being made! Cheryl, hope you can get slideout taken care of. Today would be a perfect day to give Lola a bath but sure don’t want to get in the way of it the painters! Time to go out and bag some leaves! Have a great rest of your day!

Good morning gals!

Just got back from doing a haircut here in the park. While I was cutting his hair, we saw two coyotes run down the street in front of his house! That is pretty bold at 10:30 in the morning! I worry about the stray kitties!

It is pushing 100* and very humid again. When will it end??

Gas prices pushing $7 and some stations are over that now. Just read that the prices will be going up more in the next few weeks! :o When will that end?? We are supposed to get a gas rebate of $350 soon for the last gas hike. I think they need to at least double that now!

I need to make a to-do list for today and get started on that. Day 3 of 5 to get the inside completely downsized and organized. Now that I finished the spirit doll, I can put away my supplies I have out for that.

Romeow is so funny! I woke up this morning on my back with my legs spread apart under the blankets and Romeow was laying between my legs on his back with all 4 legs splayed out! Too funny!

Velda, thanks for the CPAP group suggestion. I will check on FB for them.

Have a good day! :D

Good afternoon O'sharon and all!

Sharon, we've been waking up to temperatures in central FL in the high 50's and right now it's 83 and the sun is shining. I'm so happy you've got the painters there taking care of business. Sandi, I loved the pictures from Rome. Karen, I could say the same thing about when I went to France and wasn't into the trip as much as I should have and am so glad you're eating and feeling better. Lyn, I so enjoy seeing your posts. Barbie, you're getting lots of things done at your house with purging and reorganizing. That's always a good feeling. Tina, I'm so happy to read about your trips! Beth, when does your season end at the hotel and you'll be moving on? Shirl, how's your patio garden? Cheryl, I told Steve about what's going on in the Mississippi River. Weather is crazy all over with droughts in the west and other places while others get lots of rain. Where we are, storms seem to go around us while neighbors less than a mile away are drenched.

Steve cooked the best scallops wrapped in bacon and marinated shrimp on the Egg yesterday. I don't think I can post a message here without mentioning food.

Good chilly morning here today 52 and cloudy out BUT we will warm up to 82 today. The steady cooler weather will be here soon and that suits me just fine LOL Cleaned the bathrooms and now going to swiffer the floors. Then that chore will be done.

Making a pork roast in the crockpot today. I almost forgot I thawed it out so I could cook it. It is fairly small so will last for a couple of days and if there is any left over I will freeze it.I would rather be eating at Irmi and Steve's. I love seafood so that is right up my alley.

I am sure Sharon will be glad to finish painting the house. Guess it has taken so long as they had to dodge the weather issues. Sheila is home and working her way to the regular daily grind. Always hard to get back in gear after a vacation, takes a couple of days. Well, unless you are Sue. Our resident energizer bunny ha ha Barbie is doing great this week, her place will be so organized soon she wont recognize it ha ha

Beth should be done soon and she will be on the road again, I assume headed to the Casita. My friend that was workcamping in Yellowstone is on her way to southern Texas to another workcamping job. She is a retired travel nurse from upstate New York as home that she sold and headed out in her RV a couple of years ago. She is loving being retired.
I miss my traveling days but with the cost of everything now plus all the other expenses associated with an RV my decision to stay off the road was good. Also my health was a concern for most of this year BUT things are way improved and I am feeling very good.

Waiting to see what Shirl is cooking today. LOL I have a couple recipes I want to try from the One Dish Kitchen website. That Joanie does really good recipes. I made the Lasagna last week was just perfect for 2 meals. Now I am looking at desserts LOL

We just got hit with a Haboob! I was sitting on my bed when it started getting really dark and I heard the wind howling outside. I looked out the window and it was a dark brown color and I couldn't even see the houses across the street! Dust and debris were blowing sideways in the street! I have never seen anything that bad here before! I could hear stuff hitting the side of the house! Crazy!

saw your picture on FB Barbie that was quite the wind...
before I forget Lyn why don't you post that soup recipe that you mentioned a few days ago (I have finally caught up with what I didn't get read early this week) and now I can't remember the name of it other than lemon was in the name...
every time I hear this ad I have to chuckle whatever place it is can get you 500 dollars instantly .... it used to be that would help a lot but wow it wouldn't last very long now...
I mentioned to my sister in law yesterday that after my dr's appointment we may have to have a serious talk she said that mom really hates being there won't talk her and my brother had some words one night because she was up roaming around cause she couldn't sleep ... I need to try and explain that that is normal even here in her own house... last night she came up to me and said I didn't understand something of what was said before we left I told her that if she would get the hearing aids she could have but it was about her taxes and the Carriage House... so then she says I really don't think I need hearing aids... I said you don't hear much of what is said... the test say you need hearing aids... anyway not 5 minutes later I read something to her and she looks at my really puzzled and I said really sarcastically and you don't need hearing aids huh??? so repeated again what I'd said... she misses out in so much by not getting them...
part of the problem with being gone is she has become a real home body unless she really wants to go somewhere she just doesn't go... which is ok however when she is at someone else's house she doesn't get what she is used to... for example salt and pepper is rarely on the table at brothers house... mom uses salt so why not just remember that and put it on the table where she can see it? ignore that she is roaming around unless she has gotten hurt... she is almost 96 if she wants to sleep and stays in her pj's what the heck... they do have therapists coming but I am sure that they see worse that an old lady curled up in her chair in PJ'S sister in law says they can't afford to feed her what she will eat they focus a lot on what she no longer likes... like eggs she will eat them occasionally but not often... so don't stress about it just make sure she has some protein I will admit that there are times I get perplexed with what to fix just because if I wasn't cooking for her I'd be happy with a peanut butter sandwich... but don't feel like that is enough to give her especially since she eats so very little... feel like what she eats ought to have some nutrients in it...
hopefully we will come up with a plan that we can all work with... hope your smoke clears out Anita so sorry we couldn't get together... it was totally my not knowing where towns where at
Sandi have a blast
you all have a great day

Sheila, sounds like they are not being very patient or accommodating to your mom's needs. :(

It got dark out right when the Haboob was moving on so I will have to wait until morning to see how much dust, sand and debris is outside. Normally what winds we get, come from the north, and just north of us are several built up communities so there isn't as much dust coming in. But on rare occasions, the wind comes up from the south, like this one, and south of us is mostly open, sandy, flat areas that are not built up yet, so we get a ton of dust, sand, etc. from that, and it makes a real mess! A lot of this dust came from the Salton Sea area so it is particularly bad and full of salt, fertilizers from the farms, and other potentially toxic stuff, so they warn everyone to stay indoors until it all settles.

I pretty much got nothing done today  . I did spend time on-line looking into sleep apnea FB groups and the different options for breathing apparatus's. Found one that doesn't use a mask but just a little gizmo that attaches to the end of the nose, which sounds much more comfortable to me. I just can't imagine sleeping with a mask over my face and all the head gear involved! After reading some posts, I think I will see if I can do a home test instead of going into the clinic overnight. I don't sleep well in new places.

Sharon, you don't want to mow while they are painting your house! You might end up with a green textured finish on it! :o

Karen, I love pork roast! One of my cousins used to make that and invite my mom and I over for dinner just before Christmas every year! She was a great cook!

Good night!
