Wed August 10th~International Lazy Day

Mornin' ladies~~~

Today's title is just in case you need an excuse. ;)

Made it to the Kentucky Horse Park yesterday. Thunderstorms last night with more expected by evening. TV forecasters keep saying a cold front will be moving in with fall-like temps. Sounds good to me. Humidity has been horrible for the last month.

Not much else to report. Have a good day ladies.

Cheryl, can you camp at the horse park? I think just about every day is International Lazy Day for me. I don't know what the humidity is today but I went out to feed the outside cats and came back in with sweat dripping off my nose. It's already 93 and the radar shows scattered showers all around.

Barbie, thank goodness all my cabinet hinges are on the inside. Maybe you could get some inside hinges installed. My hinges are the kind that will automatically close if the door is only open a little way. Stinky knows how to open the doors. She will sit and open a door and let it bang closed until I go put something in front of the door to stop her. When she wakes me up at 2:00 in the morning I want to slap her on the head.

I seldom drink anything cold so don't use much ice. I have to dump the ice bin ever so often because there will be an ice jam. I use to buy a bag of ice to take camping and it was always in the way. I found that if I fill two quart size zip lock bags at home that is all the ice I need for a weekend.

Our Meetup meal last night was at a little more upscale restaurant than we usually go to. I had red fish topped with a cream sauce, avocado slices and fried shrimp and a side of fried green beans. I don't think I had ever eaten fried green beans and they were really good.

Good morning Cheryl!

So far I am celebrating by being lazy! I do have to get up in awhile to get ready for work this afternoon tho.

I have 13 lower cabinet doors X 2 hinges on each. :o I will play around with them to see what I can do for a cheap, easy fix.

I don't like to use the bags of ice in coolers since they leak and everything gets wet. I usually use the refreezable plastic discs and pouches but once they thaw out, if I still need to keep stuff cold, I have no way to refreeze them if I don't have access to a freezer. So I found some really thick plastic bags in a set of different sizes with tight seals that are guaranteed not to leak, to fill with ice cubes. That way, once they melt, I can empty them and buy a bag of ice and refill them as needed. And they are more flexible than the plastic discs, etc.

Have a good (if not lazy) day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I like water and all drinks very, very, cold, so ice is important to me. I sometimes use these to freeze ice in my RV freezer: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Rubbermaid-R ... e/25618376 I fill them about 2/3 full of water and then put them in the freezer at a 30 degree angle to freeze. Add water and you have ice water!

Got one more load of laundry today--towels and bath mat rugs. Other than that, I am going to be very lazy, other than I have to clean out the food drawer under my refrigerator because I found a partly chewed bag of nuts there.

Almost forgot. I bought a small window hummingbird feeder a week or so age and for the last couple of days I have it stuck on my side window right by my chair. They found it within a few hours and are coming for a drink constantly. I think the ones i have been watching are Black-chinned Hummingbirds--https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Black-chinned_Hummingbird/id.

Mostly it has been a female coming. Maybe more than one???

Yes you can camp here. Water and electric only and primitive sites. It's pretty big. Obviously it's a popular park, especially if events are happening, but depending on what's going on, you can walk right into the park from a couple areas from the campground. The actual park entrance is probably less than 1/4 mile on the main road, to get to the museum, store, etc

I think the idea about the filter is about right... I will need to have someone look at it... I can't say for sure but I really can't remember hearing ice drop down since the filter was put in... but again not sure of that... it is something to check on.... my problem was I couldn't get it out so had son in law do it...and he is in Utah... :(
I forgot it was international lazy day.... not that I did anything but I could have done less  I watered the indoor plants and put a coat of poly on the chest... one more to go... I wish I had access to some of that artist putty or what ever it is called... I'd use it to put the turtle on and see if the lid will close...but no idea where to get it here in town suspect no where... because of my blunder with my afghan I need another skein of one of my colors... so asked one of my dd's to pick it up for me she forgot... so I then asked my eldest to get it for me adding another color just in case... but then they won't be here till after I will need it... so asked the other dd's if anyone was going to IF my dd said she would get it for me so text her to ask if she got them no the store was closed when she got to Idaho Falls drat!!!! so back to asking eldest to get it for me... need to decide if I want to wait till they come up on the 26th or have her ship it to me... or use what I have and put knots in the afghan I really don't like to do that...
oh another thing I did on this lazy day was put some knots in the Swedish Weave will be glad when I get the treasure chest done so that I can get started on the new Swedish Weave... but want to get the other projects done first...
so that is my ramblings...
Anita where are you???
oh yes the mouse traps the ones that are suppose to kill so humanly (as in so fast) didn't work like I understood it would .... my niece came over and actually released the mouse outside and it ran off...
so much for spending that kind of money on them...
you all have a great day
