Aug. 1st Check in Day

Barbie before I forget look for Deseret Industries a thrift store I looked and one in Palm Springs but I don't remember where you live so I could look up another one... but they will be open...
Went to Rexburg Idaho stopped at a book store and only came out with the magazine that I went for and candy that I didn't go in for Then Freddy's for a concrete ( a type of ice cream) it's hard to explain but I so enjoy it ...
and a trip out of the valley to any place with one wouldn't be complete if not a trip to Walmart got all that was on the list for Walmart except they didn't have an item... my mom has a rod that is broken used to be called a transverse rod but didn't see any so thinking Lowe's or Home Depot hopefully and not on the list but I was going to get some sanitizer wipes.... like to have them so if a place is out of "wipes" I have a back up... I personally don't think that they should run out... if they do replace it quickly but it wasn't on my list and the register that I was at didn't have any... then on to my dd's house talked about the apartment decision's need to be made.. and saw what they were doing on there upstairs part... burning the exposed beams... then for Thia food...enjoyed it... now heart burn don't normally get it... haven't for years thinking it is stress... I am weary not sure what makes one so tired retail therapy and driving... was going to stop and get more bottles of grapefruit segments as they are cheaper at the grocery store in Driggs than here in Jackson but I decided I was just too tired.... will pay more later this week... got back to mom's at 9:00 Mom has an ENT appointment tomorrow hopefully the wax has loosened up enough that he can get it out... it's expensive stuff...

and Anne hope big Joe heals quickly that you can find a good vet clinic...
Velda hopefully your handy man will think about what you said my granddaughter has recently been diagnosed with ADHD as was her sister and finding out was a big help to each of them..

Oh Judy, that wasn't a good day for you! At least that place did some things for your rig. And your son wanting you to get off the road. I know kids can get concerned about their parents doing stuff they think the parent is "too old" for, but that is something that should be up to you, not them. Sorry you had a rough day. Hope you can take a couple days to enjoy your surroundings and relax a little.

The flippity fish died so he is getting recharged overnight, for more flopping around tomorrow! Romeow seems happier with me tonight. A little chin scratching goes a long way with him!

I thought I posted today but guess not or it is in cyberspace. My BIG news is I remembered RABBITS.....now that is a rate happening. We shall see what kind of luck it brings me this month. I have a few things out there that could use some good vibes.

I think my friends house is safe for now in Yreka. Would be devastating to her to lose 2 homes to fire. One is bad enough.

Took Emma for a grooming today and bought a few groceries. Need to go to Costco and pick up my prescription that is ready before they put it back LOL

Hoping they figure something out with Big Joe. Sandi, congratulations on a new ride. I am sure it will be perfect for where you live. Lyn I am totally safe from that fire. All we are getting is some smoke and it was alot better today. So that is my itty bitty news for today.

Then the guy who checked me in said I should be checking the torque of all my lug nuts every six months or even more often and that whenever I get new tires, I should ask them whether they tightened them properly!! I told them at my age, there was no way I was going to personally check lug nuts and that I assumed that tire dealers know more about this than I did.

Judy, I don't know if this is true for motorhomes like yours (and maybe the guy didn't really know, and was just speaking for trailers) but it very clearly states in the Owner's Manual of my little Jayco that the torque of my lug nuts should be checked about every five hundred miles or so (I think it was every fifty miles when the trailer was brand new). A special torque wrench (used for this purpose) has a gauge on it that tells how many foot-pounds are being applied to the lug nut as one is doing the tightening.

So I bought myself a torque wrench, and I was very religious in using it when I was travelling with my Jayco (always following the Owner's Manual guidelines), because the alternative of improperly tightened (either too tight or too loose) lug nuts is that one runs the risk of a wheel falling off. . .

As for being 'tightened properly', this might also refer to using a torque wrench for tightening, rather than one of those electrical ratchet (?) wrenches that one usually sees (and hears) in car repair places.
