Dumped my tanks this morning and everything worked OK, but that does not mean I will not have to continue using the plunger to get the water to go down into the shower. I am going to get CW to look at grey problem after they check and lubricate my wheel bearings.
Also ran to only big grocery store in town and found a McDonalds next to it! Amazing how you miss fast food after a while. I only had a few groceries to pick up, but a couple items like paper towel were crucial. After I got groceries and tossed them into RV, I walked over to McDs and got a crispy chicken sandwich with extra pickles. Tasted really good.
I have been reading a book I bought at the national park. It is by Isabella L. Bird and is titled
A Lady's Life in the Rocky Mountains. She was an English lady who had visited the Hawaiian Islands (Sandwich Islands at the time) and was headed back to England via train. All of this was in 1875 at the age of 44. She traveled alone but was an excellent horsewoman, so she got off the train for a few days in Truckee, CA, and rode by herself to Lake Tahoe and then to Donner Pass. Later she got back on the train and got off at Greeley, rented a horse, and rode to several places in the area, including climbing with a guide to the top of Long's Peak in what is now Rocky Mountain National Park. She also spent several days riding all day on horseback helping round up cattle! She writes about staying in boarding houses and cabins with families, as well as sleeping in the snow and riding rented horses to Denver, Colorado Springs, and finally returning to the train in Greeley.
