Morning Shirl, I am with you, same old stuff. Our weather is good 82 for the high so I am happy with that. Didnt sleep great last night so maybe a nap today. Not much on the tube so guess I will find something later to stream.

Hi ladies!

Shirl, I don't miss the traffic on the eastern shore of MD. We take I-75 to go to church, and yesterday, the interstate was very congested and not moving. So we took back roads to go to church. A couple hours later, the SB lanes of 75 were at a standstill, so we took back roads going home. The trip home was 2 hours but we were in church on time for the funeral. So it seems like the traffic is crazy everywhere.

Karen, I hope you're able to get a nap in.

Church went well this morning. This evening, Steve is going to cook chicken thighs on his Egg for dinner. We'll have a couple sides, both of them will be cold.

We have new grass cutters coming in to replace the ones that were fired and they started yesterday. I think all the lawns were cut but they didn't get to all the hedges, which needed to be trimmed. Considering how quickly the place got messy looking, things are looking up. We're going to have new landscaping done but we have a committee that has to approve all the work requested and that's what we're waiting on.

Enjoy the beginning of another week.

Yesterday I never did get my nap in. Didn't much feel like cleaning so I decided to work on a project instead. Last year I put marbled contact paper on the drawers and doors in my bedroom to brighten it up some, but I never finished all the doors. So I did that yesterday.

The colors in the contact paper match the color of the walls so it looks nice!

There were still holes and damage to the wall around the mini-split in my bedroom (from 3 years ago  ) that I never repaired, so I used some spackling paste to cover and patch those areas up and then sanded and painted that. Looks so much better!

That was about all I did yesterday but at least I did something. Then I found an envelope on my deck. It was a sympathy card from my neighbor who has Lily, the white Maine Coon. Inside was a charm bracelet she made for me with cats on it...

That was so sweet of her!

Went to bed early last night (10:30) and woke up at 10:30 this morning! I took an Advil PM to make sure I would sleep well and it worked. Now I need to get busy around here and get caught up on the things I should have been doing the past couple days!

It is really oppressive outside! 114* with high humidity! Can hardly breathe out there! I ordered and just received an air compressor and a auto-fill bottle to use on the golf cart. One tire has a slow leak so I need to refill it occasionally and the guy who usually does it is gone for the summer now. The water bottle is to fill up the batteries. Also need to charge them afterward too. Too hot to do all that now so will wait at least until the humidity drops down again.

I better get busy! Have a good day!

Barbie, what a nice neighbor. The bracelet is so cute.

I got back from the campground about noon and got everything unloaded. I went on Wednesday which was a day before the others and I was all alone in one end of the campground. The state park is nice and clean with long, paved sites. It is really in the middle of nowhere. There was no Verizon signal and only one AT&T bar. I could send and receive texts but could not make a call. Since it was kind of between Lafayette and Baton Rouge I got a lot of TV channels. Only three other Belles showed up, one I knew and two new members. The new members were camping in their vans. It was too hot and too many mosquitoes for that. They had a screen tent to spend the day in. The first night there was a bad storm with a lot of lightening. I'm glad that doesn't bother Sugar very much but it was scaring me. It was so hot we were going through a lot of water. I give Sugar bottled water when we are camping. I drink water from home but I don't want her getting sick. There was an old alert on the campground about a water quality problem so I wasn't taking any chances. If we tried to fish the alligators showed up. I'm sure people feed them. The people next to me went kayaking but I wouldn't have. We saw a 12 foot alligator.

It looked like it could rain but I started mowing and it never rained. The grass is growing so fast. It was dry enough to mow the bottom of the hill that had been too wet. I am so glad we have made it to the middle of July without a hurricane.

Shiela, your name Out of sight, out of mind for a storage place is a good one. I have used a storage place a couple of times because of the hurricanes. I decided anything I put there I didn't need. Now I have the old house and I'm sure most of what is in there could go in the trash. I went through a container of clothes not long ago. There was dress clothes that I don't even remember buying. I washed some of it and donated it and some went in the trash.

Beth, hard to believe you have had Ty four years. It doesn't seem that long ago that you got him.

I hate to have to set an alarm because all I do is worry about when the alarm is going to go off. I usually sleep good in the RV but went to sleep for a little while last night and woke up and couldn't go back to sleep for a long time. I have always been a night owl when I could get away with it. I don't think I stayed up as late as I do now when I was working.

My last job was very casual dressing until one of the men got promoted to GM. He decided we were too casual and we couldn't wear capris or jeans any more. We worked up stairs in the office and no one ever saw us. It wasn't long after we found out they were closing the office that we went back to dressing like we wanted to. What were they going to do, fire us.

Sue, your Raccoon is so cute.

It is 11:00 pm Central time here in Nebraska, and I am finally eating dinner. I arrived around 6 pm after driving almost 300 miles, but it took me a while to get water and hooked up to electric. I postponed doing my two big loads of laundry until about 7:00 because I did not want to walk in the heat, but that meant I had to walk over to put things in the dryer when it was almost dark, and of course the mosquitos came after me. I had put on a jacket in the heat, but I should have had long pants as well. Anyway, I walked briskly and hoped they would not get me, but my clothes were still damp, so I had to hang them up all over my rig and finish putting away my groceries from today. I took a cool shower and put on a clean nightgown, so finally feel less sticky.

Dinner is a tuna sandwich, and meals tomorrow are not going to involve cooking either. I know 88 today and 95 tomorrow is nothing compared to 114 and such, but it is really humid, and I just cannot handle heat at all. I was just dripping when i got back from laundry. AC is keeping up, but i am concerned about tomorrow. Wish I had not planned two days here and two at next campground in western NE!! Id drive further west, but it is just too far for one day. Guess I will survive, however, I am not planning on going out tomorrow at all. Will catch up on indoor things.

I will be at Rocky Mtn National Park for four days on Thursday and then the next couple of weeks in high elevations, so should be OK there. At least I don't have to get up early to drive tomorrow!!!

I will probably sound gullible but I saw this ad that I didn't read but I thought of you Judy... something that is suppose to repel mosquitoes that you wear on your wrist looks like a watch... I used to use the ones that you put on your waist but never thought they worked all that well... however perhaps this is something different and worth looking into...
I'm with you all same ole same ole
dd and sil left to go back home assume they arrived ok not heard otherwise
took out 14 rows today not sure how many total that I've take out but gaining on it it's so discouraging...
tomorrow I am going to do some house keeping need to finish up the laundry one more load and vacuum oh one day this week I should change sheets...
I also want to start doing the mod podge on the treasure box... it sounds like lots of drying time might need to go to the store and get a smaller foam brush as well as something to roll over it to get rid of the bubbles ect
took a nap for an hour turned off timer half hour later I woke up oops supper wasn't what I planned been for me it would have been an apple and peanut butter... mom sure isn't eating well think 3 meat balls and maybe one ravioli it worries be because she really can't afford to loose weight... but given the heat I really don't blame here...
you all have a good day

I ended up doing all my laundry including lots of bedding that I have been putting off. I didn't have enough quarters for more than one load so I figured I would try the new phone app that you can use to pay for the machines. I got to the laundry room and just couldn't it figured out. :? I went back home and tried to figure it out there since it was really hot inside the laundry room and didn't want to be there any longer than I had to. I finally got it pretty much figured out and went back to the laundry room to try it. Took a bit but finally got it to work. I did a lot of swearing tho before I got it done tho! :o I did actually get it all put away after it was done which I typically don't do right away.

When I was first heading to the laundry room with my car, the sprinklers were on in the yard. As I pulled out of my driveway, my front tire clipped a sprinkler head right next to the driveway and I had an 8 foot geyser shooting up in the air!!! Luckily the sprinklers finally shut off after 5 minutes. I told security about it so they can send someone over in the morning to fix it.

Also cleaned my kitchen, other than getting the dishes washed. Made some cookies tonight (altho I burned the first batch  ).

My manager texted me asking if I could work her shift tomorrow so we will switch shifts and she will work my Wednesday shift. So I work tomorrow from 9-2 and Tuesday also.

OMG! :o I just found one of Lola's whiskers on my blanket laying right between my hands while I was typing this! Gonna save it! Maybe it is a sign she is still here with me! :?

Judy, it will be nice to get to the mountains later this week! I got a memory from FB that 5 years ago today my Jeep broke down in Bozeman, MT and I had to get my trailer towed to a local campground until the Jeep got fixed ($1500 later! ). That was just the beginning of a lot more problems ($$$) with it all the way to California!

My hair is finally long enough to pull back into a small ponytail now! Felt so much better today to have it pulled up and off my neck! Yay! The longer it gets, the curlier it gets.

Have a good night.

Sunday was another 106° day! Too hot to do anything outside! I got on a Long Covd group today. Amazing how many with similar symptoms! Scary stuff. I will be tempted to slap my Dr if he writes it off again when I see him Aug 4. We had Nachos tonight. I use Pork Rinds, Chris uses chips. No big plans this week good thing since same high temps predicted through at least Wednesday !
Barbara, your bracelet is such a nice tribute to Lola.
Take care everyone.
