Thursday July 14th

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday July 14th

Mornin' ladies~~~

Just thinking about Lori. Sure do miss her opening MC with suggestions for breakfast. Any one know how she & Doc are doing?

Made it to Connecticut yesterday for 2 nights, but only 4.5 miles from Rhode Island. Traffic in RI is horrible near Warwick and RI DOT think nothing about warnings for lane closures. They had a lane closed 5 miles from my exit on I-95 just past a hill and everyone was slamming on the brakes. Thankfully I always leave plenty of room, but that meant cars serving into my lane so they didn't hit someone else.

That's it from me. I'll be back in PA for 3 days tomorrow then in Maryland for a week.

Have a good day ladies.
Cheryl

Morning Cheryl, sounds like you have your travel groove back, just trucking along. You have traveled some pretty country. Safe travels

Good Morning it is going to start warming back up for another heat advisory period and as the heat goes up so does my anxiety. I just keep hoping the weather people are wrong but doubt that will be the case.
I haven't heard Lori and Doc mentioned in years. I do remember that Lori posted quite often. I hope they are alright. Cheryl I hope you get out of RI safely ! I think drivers all over could use a refresher course! We had a stop light out here in town this week and from the number of people reported to be running the light it was obvious they had no idea the red flashing light meant they were supposed to treat it like a stop sign.
Barbie I am glad to hear you are going to do kitty rescue. Keeping busy will hopefully help.
I hope everyone has at least one interesting or fun thing to do today.

Have a few things on my list today. Time for breakfast and a shower. Then will get busy. Lori (Lorna Sloan) is on facebook, she posts on there, all is well for now.

Good morning ladies, bad monsoon storm overnight, thunder sound like bombs overhead and shook the fifthwheel. No power, got a text from power company at 3 and they say maybe back up around 10. Starting to warm up in here so I think it's time to go hang out at Petco. Need to pick up some honest kitchen anyway for Patrick. Some storm damage around town but my yard seems fine. Just normal debris misplaced. Will get it picked up later, not now it's too humid.
Ya'll enjoy your day.

Cheryl, what Karen said regarding Lori. She posts on Facebook. She and Doc have a small home not far from the Gettysburg area and near some family. I think it has been over a year since I stopped by on my way to my son's. The RoadTrek fit in their back driveway nicely. They both deal with their health issues but keep on keeping on. They would love to hear from folks if any of you are anywhere in the area.

Good Morning, I am going to the store today to get the fixings for toasted cheese sandwiches. The daughter is bringing two greats over for lunch and swimming tomorrow. I bought a tiny (4 inches) electric cooker so they may make their own sandwiches.
I am watching 1883 on my iPad…gads, what a lot of shooting and killing, not to mention the using of the F word!
I have a soccer game to watch later today…I like that better.

Good morning gals

Woke up this morning from violent nightmares! :o Don't have those too often, thank god!

I got some of the kitchen cleaned up and the trash taken out after work yesterday. I work from 1-6 today. Tomorrow will clean up the rest of the kitchen, then do bathroom and bedroom, and maybe laundry. Then will have the whole rest of the weekend to finish organizing my gourd stuff in the living room and porch, and get ready for kitty guests! :D

The temps are better, in the low 100's now but the humidity is going way up now. I am not a fan of humidity, especially with temps that high! I remember in MN, even when it was just in the 80's, if it was really humid, it was oppressive!

Talked to my friend Candiss on the phone last night for over an hour (the one who moved to Oregon). It is always so nice to talk with her. She is so sweet and such a comfort when I am going thru stuff.

I need to get up pretty soon to eat lunch and get ready for work. I am really liking these shorter days!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Thanks for posting this.

I have thought of Lori and Doc also. I always wonder what has happened when previously-active members disappear.

Thank you, Tina. I don't do Facebook, and I try not to share my personal email address and phone number (for texting) too widely. Too much possibility of spam, and I get enough of that as it is.

On the other hand, I have often wished I could have a nice slice of Lori's morning French Toast. Yum. 8-)

If you are in contact with her, please tell her she is missed here on Beth's forum.

Thank you.

I see Lori post occasionally on FB but then we don't always see the posts come through... here it is so easy you post we usually see unless like I've done a few times and don't make sure that it posts.... and it goes bye bye  I too wonder about several of our old members and wonder I see Donna (Cricket) occasionally Sharon Mitch Claudia and a few others but then I wonder what ever happened to ???? and to and to and to
we went and got fish at the fish truck it is so good.... dd was going to see where it was so we could find it easily it wasn't easy to find but people are doing so saw a lady go out with 13 boxes :o :o but when I was looking for the address so dd could gps it I realize that they must be all over some of the comments were when are you going to be in IA again... Texas had comments I know that they are in Idaho and dd said I think I've see them at home... so Utah so if you see a blue truck think the name is On the Hook fish and chips... at least here it is good...
did a load of clothes need to go put clothes away... and put poly on the inside of the treasure box... after talking with a friend who consulted with two of her kids I think I am going to put a couple three coats all over and use mod pog to put the flowers, and butterflies on with... that is the plan
so tomorrow night it's left over's dd is going to drive part way meet her dd and husband and bring him back up here... so they can finish up all they need to or can do until the flooring is put in... the thing they want to do is help their friend clean out the storage unit so it is something she can give up it is close to 200 a month.. that sounds like a good bill to get rid off...
I thought of a good name for a storage unit ..... "out of sight out of mind"  we tend to do that put stuff in a unit and pay monthly forever on stuff we don't use but cling too...
tomorrow is mom's hearing test she doesn't want to do it at all grumbled when I reminded her... I'm torn my brother made the appointment... it is something that has worsen over the year noticeably so I sorta agree with it for that reason and he said that studies show that people with hearing problems tend to get dementia more .... so if that is true it would be good to do what we can... but I also know that she more than likely won't wear hearing aids so that part of me says why do it....
you all have a good day
