Tuesday, July 12

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday, July 12

Afternoon all. The day is getting later and it’s windy and hot today. Storms in the forecast for today but here we are only have a 40% chance. So guess it’ll be around us. Not much news here, just another day. But that’s probably a good thing! Barbie, sending you ((hugs)). I am doing some chores in the house and will see how the day goes to see if I can get outside later this afternoon and do some weeding. About it here. Have a great rest of the day!

Hot yesterday 100....but 92 predicted for today then will drop back down to the 80's. No rain in sight but that is typical for this time of year. Watered the garden, came in for some lunch. Yup that is my day LOL Boring. Ate a little more of my small potroast and will have the rest for dinner.

Hi ladies~~~

(((hugs to Barbie))). Sorry to hear about Lola.

My last day in Maine today. Last week I went to all 3 peninsulas of Acadia NP. Didn't get to the island part tho. Then a lighthouse museum, Fort Knox State Historic Site and the bridge and observation tower at Penobscot Narrows.

Got just south of Portland, ME it yesterday for 2 nights and did some bird watching at the Scarborough Salt Marsh, went to see the lighthouse and was surprised Fort Williams and the Goddard mansion ruins were all in the same place. Worth the $5 parking.

I'll be near Mystic, CT tomorrow for 2 nights.

Hope everyone is doing well. Expecting rain here tonight. Better than having to drive in or tomorrow.

My day has finally settled down. Last night my son's dog was chasing something in their back yard and tore a nail off. At first it looked like his toe was broken. My son's girlfriend has his car so I had to go get him and the dog to bring them to my vet. I let him take my car since I'm leaving tomorrow and I have the truck if I need to go anywhere. His girlfriend needs to look for a new car but it's hard to car shop when you work. She is into the play's in Lafayette so she doesn't have much time on weekends either.

I don't have to leave all that early tomorrow since it's only about 50 miles to the campground. I probably should get things loaded this afternoon since it might be raining in the morning. It's 102 right now so loading will have to wait until later. Everyday I try to wait until it cools off to walk Sugar but it doesn't get all that cool before it gets dark. I missed the noon weather so don't know the latest prediction on the bad weather in the gulf. I think I will just leave Charlie in the house instead of taking him camping. He just sleeps in the recliner and the other cats ignore him.

Good evening all, it is unbearably humid and hot. Another damn severe t-storm alert for tonight so guess I will spend some time sitting in the laundry room for a tornado watch. Think I need to make it a little cozier, maybe hang a picture or two. The high point of my day was a text from porch friend. A cute picture of her with a silly hat having a tea party with her two great grandchildren. Good for her, creating memories in spite of this troubled world. It’s clouding up and getting dark so better fix dinner. Be safe

Well my day is over. Going to go take a shower and head to bed. I have spent the last couple of hours studying Amazon Prime Day to see if there is anything I just cant live without. So far NO. Tomorrow is the last day so will check again tomorrow.

Thank you for all the words of comfort, and hugs!

I had planned to clean the kitchen and clean up some of Lola's things, but just didn't feel up to it today. Been just playing on FB, watching YouTube videos, and started reading a book I got from Amazon today.

I keep looking for Lola, or I hear a noise and think it is her. I guess it will take awhile for it to really sink in that she isn't here. I do still have my fish I can talk to.
I am thinking about volunteering to be a foster mom for cats and kittens. There are several animal rescues out here that have an urgent need for foster homes.

I work half a day tomorrow and half of Thursday and then have 4 days off. I really need to get busy over the weekend around here. And also need to get back to my proofreading course.

Sounds like there is a lot of stormy weather across the country right now. Stay safe! Hot and sunny here, like usual.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

today was a mixed up day.... fixed a late breakfast mom didn't take her thyroid med so had to give it to her and wait the 1/2 hour... so later than normal cereal at almost noon  we don't eat sandwiches often enough to have meat for it or that might have been what we would have had... went in a read scriptures by listening to a pod cast for part of it... then went out and stained the box still in my pj's  dd came and we talked about the vermin issue and then told me she had gotten a text from my nephew that he and his daughter were going to come over... and perhaps I might want to get dressed or not... went to the bathroom on the way and heard the door bell so quickly pulled on some clothes...had a visit then nephew and his dd and my dd decided that they had enough of the old folks and went out to the ranch then around town I think fixed ck tenders for supper with corn on the cob... did it in the oven this time... then in the microwave.... think the oven wasn't hot enough but it did more at one time...
trying to decide on my embellishments on the box... have some paper (a sturdy paper) cutouts of flowers, butterflies, and mushrooms... bunched some of the up together... question is would it be too thick to put a couple layers of poly over the top????

you all have a good night need to go put out something for the mice...
