Good evening gals.

Nothing much new here. Just hot. I have the next 2 days off. Isn't very busy at work now. Not sure this weekend will be any better since a lot of people will be out of town for the long holiday weekend.

Judy, glad you made it back home safe and sound, other than tired and still not feeling great. Food poisoning takes a lot out of you (literally and energy-wise! ). I think I would have just crashed in bed for 2 or 3 days after getting back!
I haven't read anywhere where Covid symptoms include the symptoms you had. I was really worried that what I had might be Covid since it was like a bad cold/flu, but all tests came back negative. Am just glad it didn't go down into my chest! I am feeling back to normal now.

Sue, that sucks about your tooth! Sounds really painful! I hope I never have to get a root canal! :o I am not good with pain, even the Novocain shot hurts like heck!

Need to get back to cleaning and organizing my living room and porch. I just need to get the two new tables set up in the porch and will organize the rest when it is cooler out there. I would like to get maybe a piece of plywood to put across the tables because I discovered they have soft tops with vinyl material on them that could get cut or tear while working on them. Or maybe something else I could cover them with that has a harder surface? Any ideas???
I got a new bedding set that arrived today, kind of an Asian theme, beige with a little red in it. I still plan to replace my full sized bed with a twin bed and then that small red cabinet I got will look perfect in here. :D
Also need to get back to my autobiography soon...

Have a good evening!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Barbie, the dentist that did my root canal this year was really good. He put something to numb my mouth before the shot so didn't even feel the shot. Then he put some kind of cover around the tooth so what he was drilling wasn't going in my mouth. I had root canals years ago and they were painful. I was sorry I had put it off for so long.

got up super early (for me) this morning had to let a guy into the condo got there parked so there was room for the person coming from Home Depot ( according to car clock I was actually 5 mins early) so got out the phone and perused FB and had the radio on got a text from dd saying he is there I looked around and didn't see anyone... asked don't see him said to head toward the condo and I would probably see him so did so looked up at the condo and he wasn't there then saw him coming toward me I said I didn't know that there was another parking lot  or if I knew it had forgotten... so he went up to measure the floors and brought the key to me when finished... got home and mom had taken her RX so I put dishes away and fixed breakfast simply deciding what cereal to pull out put the grapefruit segments ran out and since I was lazy and didn't go to the store we won't have any in the morning I usually have hot cereal one day and cold cereal the next some days it's even toast and eggs... but mom isn't that much into eggs so it's not an often meal... thinking tomorrow night though it might be breakfast have bacon so might fix bacon and either have toast or pancakes probably pancakes been awhile since we have had them... was going to fix the chicken tenders tonight but I had planned on having potato salad but forgot that part so opted to fix a chicken pot pie with tater tots on top instead of crust pretty good even if I was a bit heavy handed on the Thyme but enough left over I think I will call niece and see if she wants what I have left over it seems like I am planning a meal while eating one...
actually got a nap in today 45 mins but it was a nap :o
little cool tonight door is open which is fine but with short sleeves and feeling a bit chilly computer says it is 69 out
one of my plants didn't make it due to cold while I was gone I might run out to the nursery and see if they still have some it was that POP of color that I wanted in the planter... ugh
as to COVID dgranddaughter who is suppose to deploy a couple weeks ago maybe not that long but like the week after memorial day has covid and being a marine I am willing to bet that she was fully vaccinated and boosted... the downstairs son at dd's house has it as to his being vaccinated I don't know so far the rest of the household seem to be ok ... I left there on Weds so don't think I was exposed...
we had visitors tonight really a surprise they evidentially moved into the house across the street from mom... she kept insisting that someone new was there as she hadn't seen the people that were living there I had not too many weeks ago but this couple came over introduced themselves and left a plate of cookies... was so nice of them....
Sue good to get your teeth taken care of root canals aren't that fun but they do take care of the pain...
Judy hopefully you will feel better soon might take slowing down for a few days as well..
Anita have fun in Ireland that is one trip I'd love to do .... never had a desire to go to Iceland but it looks like it was a good stop... Greenland is another area I've heard good things about...
Irmi it doesn't take long for the grass and what all to over grow... hopefully they will get it back to top condition
How are things in your neck of the woods Beth?
Barbie I've been trying to think of something that my husband used to use and can't think of it right now but I bet if you look in the craft stores you can find what you need for cheaper and less weight than plywood would be... if you wait for cooler weather you won't be organizing that area until fall
awww the door is closed wished I'd made some hot chocolate but too late now...
saw something of Yahoo news tonight this lade is expecting two sets of Identical twins not quads as they are in 2 sacs which from what I read the other day is very rare... and this is even more so two sets at the same time... wow
you all have a great day
