Last Tuesday in June

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Last Tuesday in June

Gee, it’s after noon and nobody’s been here. Guess you are all busy elsewhere. Beautiful summer day. here in northern Michigan. Temp is 81°, low humidity and dewpoints and good breeze. Great dsy to be outside. Rain expected tonight.

Yesterday was a tad chilly as we had a strong NW wind and got to about 60. Few Misty showers snuck in occasionally. But that cool Weather got me moving. Vacuumed in the house, watered all the flowers, cleaned up the yard a bit and mowed, cleaned out my gutters and spent some time working on the Coon peeper. Took the dogs for a walk and ran into to a lady I know across the highway. She was heading out on her walk and stopped to show me a picture she took the day before of a Bobcat she came upon, on her walk. Said he was just sitting there , staring at her, like it was trying to figure out what she was. We figured it was probably a young one, born this year who hasn’t seen a human before. Pretty neat. .

Shirl, did you get the Catalog from Winfield Collection. Here’s what I have done so far. Paws are painted on working on the face

Heading off to a dentist appt. So just piping in to say hi.

Sue, the raccoons around here aren't as cute as yours are.

I went to my meetup last night at Freddy's, which seems to be a national chain kind of like dairy queen but more expensive. My hamburger was the best I have had in a long time. Some were ordering sunday's so I got a cone. They have one, two or 3 scoops and I got one. I had to get a cup because it was so much ice cream. I wish they would just give me a child's cone. A new place to pick up lunch in Lafayette.

It looked like rain all day but didn't cloud up until I was heading home. It rained some all the way home but didn't get much at home. Sunday night we got an inch of rain. The high yesterday was only 87 but it's up to 91 today.

I finally got around to cutting off my jeans. I made shorts out of one pair and capris out of the other. Now if I could just bring myself to throw away the capris that are about to fall apart.

I need to go dig around in the freezer and find something for lunch.

Another hot day, our 8 th in a row 100° or above! What is this thing they call rain? :D
I need to get to Costco for few things. Girls have their chicken. Bird has her fresh fruit bowl. When I return, I have paperwork type stuff to work on. And sunroom to sort back into pantry. AC is my friend! Few more days and we are supposed to drop back into 90's. Sure hope so. 4 th is usually HOT until dark, then just very warm! Planning burgers and salad for 4th. Burgers done in AIr Fryer. Will buy our usual assortment of safe and sane fireworks and celebrate after dark with neighbors, as we have for past 33 July 4ths, with rare exception. This year more will be home because of fuel prices.
Have a good day everyone.

Hey ladies, it was a lovely morning, temps were comfortable for awhile. Got the dishwasher loaded but will wait to run it until I can turn the AC off. Don't want to trip any breakers, this fifthwheel is getting old and cranky.
Patrick's sibling came up for adoption and was offered to me but I turned him down. One is all my budget can handle at the moment. Things could change some day but for now I know my limit. I feel bad but there are too many reasons not to do it.
I need to go through my water timers and find one that still has good batteries. The one out front on my hibiscus needs new ones and I'm out of fresh batteries. I guess I can manage one chore for today, lol.
Y'all enjoy your day

Good afternoon. Spent the morning making some "do ahead" meals for the freezer. Got kitchen cleaned up and had lunch so think I might be done for the day except for some watering this evening.

Alice people tell me all the time Emma needs a brother or sister. No, no she does not. It is so easy with one. I can take her anywhere but I couldnt do two. I remember the same issue with children, my life was easy with one then when the second came along much harder LOL Also with vet bills being what they are I can afford one, groomers, boarding (not that I have ever boarded her but you never know) food etc. She likes being an only dog LOL she doesnt know any different. And she is a total velcro dog.

Shirl sorry to hear of the demise of your tomato plant. I used to mourn mine, now I just pull em out and put them in the trash and either start over or just forget it. I wanted to plant lots more stuff this year but just wasnt feeling up to it. Sue I love your raccoon. You are one talented chick. We are entering a cool down to the low 80's and 70's, makes me very happy.

Going to have a caesar salad for dinner, that sounds good to me.

Afternoon All, a low humidity lovely day on the island. Had a pickup order at Bjs and bought a big rotisserie chicken. Used the salad spinner so have big container of romaine. Cobb salad on my menu tonight. Karen, disappointed about plant since age makes planting on the balcony labor intensive will not attempt a second one. Life has ups and downs and mine is going through a down cycle. One irritations after another. Nothing major, just things added to an already trying couple of years. My stiff upper lip is quivering. Lol This too will pass. Sue, had the catalog sent to my son and don’t know if he received it yet. Filled Subaru gas tank so sitting here feeling like I have money in the bank. Will save it for something special like a trip to the crab deck. Waiting for Judy to post. Be safe

I got into Cleveland at 5 pm today and my ride took me to RV storage. Started OK, but ran a little rough for a few minutes then smoothed out. Made a quick stop for a few essentials and a cheap cooler plus ice to put things in until frig gets cold. Will need to do more grocery shopping tomorrow and get a truck wash and this thing is dirtier than it ever was in the desert. More tomorrow when I am not so exhausted.

More tomorrow, but I am safe and sound.

I have to add that cats and dogs do not necessarily want a brother or sister. My son thought his cat 20 years ago needed company, so he got a kitten. All they ever did was hiss at each other! Ditto for the other son who brought home a pair of siblings. They don't hiss at each other, but they do completely ignore one another. But maybe dogs do better as pack animals.

we had a cloudy windy day today but no rain :( was hoping but only 15% chance of rain so not a big hope better though than the 2% for tomorrow....
can't say I did a lot today though.... folded hung up or put away clothes...
worked on sanding the treasure box
fixed supper didn't do the hot dogs if the chicken was frozen had grilled cheese and tomato soup...glad you made it back safe and sound Judy
Anita enjoy your trip sounds like it will be a great one
dd called and asked if I could go let some people into the condo tomorrow to measure floors kinda thought it would be in afternoon not so they will be there between 9:30 and 10 which means I have to get up and do something  usually get breakfast between 10:30 and 11 depending upon when mom takes her thyroid pill.... guess it will be fairly quick about a half hour to measure the floors... going to put down new flooring SIL has had the condo quite awhile and never changed out the carpet its not looking good so it goes bye bye and a new floor put down that is suppose to be good with animals...
even though it's said awhile ago that it is 72 out it feels chilly and the computer is now saying rain coming we will see...
cute raccoon Sue.
you all have a great day
