Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Oh, BJ, I'm glad you didn't see it sooner. That would have been beyond scary. Cheryl, I did the Ben & Jerry's tour in maybe 2006. I don't remember a graveyard then. That would be fascinating. I do know that the flavor ice cream they gave us at the end of our tour was an apple pie ice cream that was being tested. I never saw it in stores and I would have purchased it. I don't know if it made it to market or not.

Judy, I got food poisoning on a trip to Vegas with my sister. I spent all night with everything coming out both ends. My sister called the hotel desk and they sent a doctor to our room that night and again in the morning. Plus they gave us a late check out. I'm still surprised I made it on our flight home that day. And the doctor never charged a thing. The hotel never asked where I ate. It wasn't one of their restaurants but I guess they weren't taking chances.

Judy, so sorry to hear you got so sick! That is never fun but especially not while on vacation! Food poisoning is the worst! I am sure you are ready to get back home.

BJ, that would have been scary to see that fire! Better that you didn't! Glad they got it out right away.

Anita, have fun on your trip! Will you be able to post on here while you are gone?

Am thinking of getting some neon tetras to add to my aquarium. They get along well with bettas. I stopped at PetCo and they didn't have any. That is the worst run store I have ever been in. Tomorrow I will check PetSmart by work to see what they have.

This time of year out here (ie; desert) is not growing season. Even my neighbors beautiful hibiscus isn't doing too well. I have not had luck here with large tomatoes, but the cherry tomatoes grow well. Just bought some tomatoes at WM to make BLTs. After what I paid for the food today, I will need to eat BLTs for the next 3 weeks!

I am cat sitting for one of my customers here in the park. They left Thursday and said I didn't need to go over until Saturday, so I stopped there this afternoon. They only had a tiny water bowl and tiny food dish, and both were almost empty! :o When I leave Lola, even with a cat sitter coming every day, I put out large bowls (dog bowl size) of each, sometimes two, just in case the cat sitter can't make it one day. I felt so bad. I filled them both and cleaned the cat box. The cat is shy so he stayed under the couch the whole time. I will go back tomorrow again since they won't be back until Monday.

It is 114* today with the same expected thru next week. I doubt we will see double digits again now until October.

Back to work tomorrow...
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Post just disappeared twice!

Judy, I hope you are feeling better. BJ, I'm glad someone spotted the fire before it became worse!

The 6 of us flying out of Seattle are going Icelandair. The only connection is coming home - a layover in Reykjavik. Barbie, any posting will be pictures from my phone on FB. I'm not taking my laptop. I plan to make the posts available to all and will put links on here. There will be 15 of us on the tour which is July 1-7. 10 have toured together before.

Carolb and I visited Ben & Jerry's a few years ago. It was fall and not busy. Graveyard was there - fun!

Judy sorry that you were sick but glad that you are feeling better... is your new hotel close enough that you can go and do something after you regain your strength? hope so it would get boring staying there for two days plus days...
Barbi I realize why they set up the odd even days for Yellowstone was just trying to say that it might be good to continue it on as the park is full all summer... the last time I actually drove around the lakes here in GTNP was last year and there was no parking for miles can't imagine what it is like now with people not being able to get into YNP...
Martha doesn't it get you when they take away what you really enjoy regardless if it's ice cream, pop, or a tv show... years ago I was on a web page called gardenweb... as I recall but they covered all sorts of pages... from gardening to recipes to genealogy to.... Shirl you would so have enjoyed it... don't know if it still exists or not but one the recipes I got off there was for Chubby Hubby Cookies... guess a take on a old Ben and Gerry's ice cream.... don't remember the name of the ice cream.... but do know the cookies are so good....
got a text from one of my Idaho dd's asking if they came to dinner Sunday could we have salmon patties so went to the store for Salmon (canned) it's so expensive it has always been but more so now... also got stuff for cole slaw it's not my mom's favorite but I really like it as does my dd's coming over got corn as well so it will be a filling meal... trying to decide if I want to try making them in the A/F pretty sure it would work but not sure if I want to try when it's not just us...
Anita have a ball will look forward to seeing your pictures when we get to..
as usual I can't remember what all I was going to mention I am sure that it was important
read on Yahoo about a snake hunter finding a think it was 200 lb Burmese Python in the Everglades more than one reason to avoid that area.. it's last meal was a deer
well you all have a great day
