Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wednesday June 15

Morning All, weather same ole hot, humid and evening storm. A stay at home day. Got a Moderna booster yesterday so will probably take a couple of naps today. I was trying to hold off until late summer but cases are increasing and a new strain so got the shot. Catherine, Medicare covers my bone density test also. With all the rain I neglected watering Tomato plant and it was extremely dry. Hope it survives. I forgot that even if it is pouring rain it might not be coming in my direction. Inspection of safety alarms in apartment complex today and tomorrow. I’m glad management takes precautions but the alarms going off are ear shattering. Sue, saving your walking tail picture for days I am tired of looking at traffic and concrete. I’m enjoying Carol’s calming bridge and reflection in the water. Judy, love riding along with you. Lol Be safe

Good morning to All - We are having a couple of cool - only 93 - days but it has been cooling down to 70's at night so this morning I got out to walk at 5:30. Went to the Wetlands. Realized I forgot to bring my phone and camera.Oh well. When I go that early and alone I pretty much stick to the concrete paths instead of the dirt trails. The weather was perfect, cool and a little breeze. By the time I got home 145 to 7 it was getting very warm. Going to try and go tomorrow cause after that it is heating up again for a few days. Wouldn't you know I saw a couple of coyotes and me with no camera. Today we are waiting for our new Dish TV receiver, or receivers! - The first one they sent does not have our unit number in the address (there are 500 homes in our community) So they are sending a second one, just in case. The hard drive on the receiver crashed so every movie, series etc we've recorded is probably gone. Tech said I MIGHT be able to recover them - they include instruction on how to TRY to do that with the new box. Hope I can figure out how to do it.
I finished my latest sewing project so now have to figure out something else to do to pass the time. We were thinking about taking a little trip in the RV but when we figured out the cost in fuel and camping for just a few days decided against it. Cheapest gasoline here now is Costco at $5.09 a gallon.
Since we got home from Mexico I've lost 14 pounds, continue to work on losing more. Main thing I'm not doing is snacking during the evening while watching TV or reading. And being sure to eat breakfast every day instead of eating toast every couple of hours for a snack.
That's about all going on around here.

Woke up feeling like crap again this morning. Temp was about 99 but is now back to almost (my) normal, 97.8. I checked around for the Covid testing at Urgent Care, etc, but they all want $150 for it since insurance doesn't cover it. I checked with the county covid testing sites and found one near me that does them for free. I have an appointment for noon today. Takes 2-3 days to get results back so no going back to work until that comes back. I did another home test and that came back negative. This seems more like the flu than just cold symptoms (temp, chills, body aches, headache, etc), but this is an odd time of year to get the flu so that is why I really want to find out if it is Covid since the symptoms are almost the same.

I rescheduled my physical I had for Friday, until July 6th.

Here is a photo of Karma... I am still waiting for my order of gravel for his new aquarium. The order is delayed so maybe by the end of this week? He still seems happy swimming around all over, eating well and making bubble nests.

Judy, you would have had to wait for me while I went in the bakery for hot tea or coffee and something sweet. Lol A beautiful town. I would think those castle walls would stop an arrow or two. I don’t think you would ever be warm living in that castle especially wearing a kilt. The garden is pretty and green. I have waited all day to get sleepy from booster but it didn’t happen. Also spent the day with cotton stuffed in my ears dreading the horrible blast of fire alarms but maybe tomorrow. Family keeps me involved by sending videos and pictures of their lives. Oldest great granddaughter went to her first job today as a lifeguard at a local day camp. Got a video of her brother up at bat at his baseball game. #2 daughter sent pictures of her small vegetable garden and new retractable awning over the deck. Made for an interesting day and my arm didn’t hurt very much. Lol Barbie, have two family member just over Covid said it was like a bad cold. Took 3 days to test positive. Hope you feel better soon.

Had a long drive today and did not get started until about 11 am. The first hundred miles was mostly single track and narrow double lane, so speed was slow and it took a long time. Last hundred miles was much better and wider double lane, meaning one lane in each direction, but the lanes were wider, so no worries about moving over for oncoming cars. Went through a lot of small villages, but speed on most parts was maybe 50-55 which is the fastest I have driven since a short stretch of freeway a few days ago.

Anyway, was so tired when I got to Thurso at 6 pm that a restaurant sounded horrible, so I grabbed a barbecue chicken sandwich, bottle of OJ, and a package of fresh raspberries, which I ate in my very nice B&B room. ALso got a small bottle of milk which I really like before bedtime, which will be early tonight because I stupidly made a ferry reservation for 8:30 am tomorrow morning!! This means having to be on the dock at about 7:45 for loading, but dock is only five minutes away.

Thanks for the info on what tests medicare should cover. I was being hyper-cautious so I'm not going to worry about those 2 things until next year.
I guess I wasn't cautious enough though because when I went to see what the TDAP booster (which they gave me at their office) would cost thru my plan D. Guess what - it's not covered at all!!! She highly recommended it & I know it is recommended before being around infants - which I will be in Oct. Oh well, lesson learned - never let them administer anything at the office again. Since this is plan D stuff, I guess their system didn't flag it. I really don't like this medicare stuff! You have to pretty much know exactly how to code things & what is & isn't allowed. Now I just have to wait to see what they charge for it.

Started on my closet today.... Let's hope I don't get too side-tracked so I can get it done.

I enjoy your reports, Judy.
Barbie, hope you feel better soon.
I just paid 5.85 for gas at Costco. I try not to drive much but this is getting crazy!

my son in law took the 5th wheel to a camping place to get it un winterized and to see why the slides aren't coming in well... dropped it off Sat had an appointment for the 17 but they pulled it into a bay this morning and found out that the batteries were all bad at least two bulging battery water/acid had gotten all over and it was going to cost over 1,000 for new batteries and about 3 hours of labor at 140 an hour... oh my ... he made it sound really bad... so called son in law to see when he can move it somewhere else so that someone else can work on that issue and then we we determine when to do the other... they can't till Saturday and even that was a problem (they are building a house and spending all the time on it) suggested that I call grandson he can use the truck to move the trailer... so he will go Friday and either take it to his house or to his father in laws field to work on it.... his father in law is a Interstate battery dealer anyway... last time I got batteries he gave me a bit of a discount will hope that happens this time...
today is my eldest daughter's 7th year anniversary 2nd time around was choice... :)
didn't accomplish much got the trailer taken care of and order flowers for the funeral... as well as loaded the dishwasher and washed up those that don't fit or shouldn't go in dishwasher... but still didn't accomplish that much...
hope you feel better Barbi... my normal temp is also lower than normal is considered .... I tell them if it's normal I have a fever
these chairs are giving me TB
you all have a great day
