Sandi, I use Miracle Grow potting soil, buy plants so I only need to water pots. Think soil is the secret. I did plant sugar snap pea seeds which have sprouted in a week. Was told they are cool weather plants so do not hold out much hope for success. Will try those again in the fall.

Shirl before I forget next spring plant the peas earlier in the spring depending upon if you freeze or not you can really plant them early on...
Liz was so excited when I read about your gardening award (read it earlier on FB) you so deserve it... you have a beautiful garden... I'd love to see it one day
