HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

Morning All, a cloudy chilly windy 46°On the shore. No special plans for the day. Will fix a nice dinner. Really want a piece of that cake but haven’t been motivated to bake it. Lol. Haven’t checked under the sheet to see if Juliet plant has survived this temperature drop. Have a peaceful day. Be safe

Morning Shirl. It is a cold, damp, rainy and windy day right now. Only 38 out, chilliest it has been for a couple of weeks. Bumped the heat up and now sipping my first cup of coffee. Sure glad I have resisted the urge to buy any flowers or veggies. I am usually planted by now but this is the wettest spring in a few years which is great for our fire season. Just seems like we havent put much of a dent in our drought tho. Guess it would have to rain for 40 days and 40 nights to help the drought.

Happy Mothers’ Day to all. Nothing going on here. Daughter is in St. Louis helping my granddaughter return from her first year at the university. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Happy Mother's day lovely ladies. The RV office manager brought me a rose and two little chocolates this morning. (She purchased some flowers for her moon guests abs they threw in a few roses). I put the rose out on the table with continental breakfast. It made a nice compliment. I'm waiting on a couple more checkouts and have only one check in today so other than a few projects intend to take it easy today. Winds have been strong and will be back soon. I think all week. :?

Happy Mothers Day, ladies!

My children sent me the most lovely and exquisite - and LARGE flower arrangement I have ever seen, with an incredibly sweet not that put me in tears.

I no longer have an easy way to post photos - Beth, if I sent them to you, could you post them for me? :D Or would that seem too much like bragging? :( (LOL - the photos, not the flowers   )

Mums, roses, I don't know what all - truly, "the works".

Good Morning all, Shirl, I almost never bake anymore. There is a small restaurant near us and they always have a selection of at least 10 desserts, my current favorite is their strawberry cake. It is just a yellow cake with some sort of whipped topping and slices of strawberries all over the top and bottom. I also cook less than ever as this same restaurant has lunch specials and they are so generous with their servings I can usually get two or three meals from it. We still aren't eating inside at restaurants so I always get carry out.
It has been cool here but ending as we are predicted to be in the 90's in a couple of days!! Very unusual for early May.

Did anyone watch the Kentucky Derby yesterday? What a surprise!! As I watched the horses head out from the stable I predicted that horse would loose as it was foaming at the mouth. Then they had issues loading him into the gate. I thought he was too excited to run well. I was certainly wrong. I love horse racing, it's a good thing there aren't any tracks nearby. I can remember my Grandmother saying she couldn't watch horse racing as she got too excited.

Pippa is in the other room and it is very quiet, I guess I should go see what she is into. Anyone who has never had a puppy would think we are crazy from all the paper that is strategically placed over the things she finds irresistible to chew on, like along the fireplace. She has a taste for brick and mortar, plus shoes and electrical cords. Of all the puppies I've had she is hanging on the longest to puppy mischief, it's a good thing she is cute.

Happy Mother's Day to you all! :D Yesterday was Birthmother's Day. Kind of bittersweet for me. Thinking of my mom today and of course always missing her.

It is horribly windy here today! I hear things crashing and banging all over outside! Yesterday the air was brown from the dust blowing. We have built up neighborhoods to the north of us that block a lot of the dust and sand when the wind is coming from the north which is most of the time. If we get a rare southwest wind, then it comes across the big open area across the road from us between us and the casino. There is an RV resort right behind the casino that gets hit with the south winds constantly and the open area is just north of them so they get nailed with all the dust and sand every time the winds blow! I would really hate living there!

Last night I had some cheesy garlic toast before bed and then all of a sudden, my front teeth, top and bottom, started to hurt really bad! It was awful and of course I had a hard time getting to sleep. I finally took an Advil and dug out my mouth guard. That hurt to put on but eventually that started to help. I am not sure if the warm toast triggered it or what, but I have been grinding (and chomping) my teeth really bad lately so that is probably part of it too. It feels better this morning but still sore. I have never had that happen before. :?

Off to work again today. One more day, then off on Tuesday and Wednesday. I am way behind on getting stuff done around here especially laundry  .

I better get ready for work now. Have a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Can you hear me screaming. Started to bake the cake. I have yellow cake mix but not devils food. For about 2 seconds thought of making from scratch but don’t want it that bad. Do have ice cream and chocolate syrup.

kids took us to ChinaKitchen today for a meal brought home lots then we came to the house and had cake and dip... got here saw a truck parked close by but thought it was the neighbor's was one of the brother's so go to visit with him a bit... well mom did as I was making dip... he was going to meet his boys at the same restaurant as we ate at...
I think that I am tired shouldn't be but that is the way it is... should go see why the pellet stove isn't lighting just don't want to have to vacuum it out tonight but it's sure chilly ... we had snow today then it went to rain got quite a bit from what the ground looked like.. Karen it will take years for us to fully recover from this drought it's been years in the making ... one of our major lakes here is down to it's original size... it supplies the water for the potato farmers in part of Idaho so we are grateful for what we get down here because up on the mountains it will be snow and it will take longer for it to melt up there anyway down it it melts almost before it hits the ground...
think I will say goodnight you all have a great day
and before I totally forget
Happy Mother's day to each of you
