I didn't get around to reading or posting yesterday so it has taken awhile to read all of yesterday's and today's posts!
I worked at the other shop today. For the first time, it wasn't very busy but they are in an area with lots of resorts with snowbirds and they are all pretty much gone now so not as many customers now. It was actually nice to sit for awhile in between customers. When I work there, I usually end up with several who want to come see me at my regular shop for their next haircut. 3 of them said that today. One of them said I am amazingly detailed with my work.
After work, I stopped to pick up some more shredded chicken. There is only one store I can find it that isn't full of stuff on it (herbs, spices, etc) because I give it to Lola and she can't eat that stuff. This one store just has plain chicken pieces. They also had an ad for white kernal sweet corn but what little they had was old, dried up and looked like feed corn. It is a high-end store too. Was very surprised and disappointed. WM has better looking corn than that! I did notice that the farm stand near my house now has fresh sweet corn so will probably stop there tomorrow to pick some up.
I have tomorrow off. Haven't decided what is on the list of things to do yet. Lots of possibilities tho.
I do have a haircut to do at 6pm. Hopefully, I won't forget! I should also get my car washed. It is filthy and I already paid for a carwash with my last gas fill-up.
Was hot today, near 100* with no wind. Not too bad tonight tho as far as temps. I have my bedroom window open and it feels good.
The Coachella Festival is over now but next weekend is the Stagecoach Music Festival with all the big named country entertainers. So will probably be seeing a lot of cowboy hats and boots in town (and at WM). Indio is known as the City of Festivals! This town is also where the county fair is always held but that is no longer gonna happen. Not enough people go to it anymore (I heard it was pretty lame) so they have discontinued it. That also included the International Date Festival, but that is now it's own separate festival called the Date Harvest Festival in a different location and will be in the fall when they are done with the harvest. We have lots of date farms out here. They grow very well in this climate.
Sandi, I too, miss your paintings! Please keep sharing! BJ, you need to get busy with your watercolors! Artwork is good for the soul!
Time for PJ's and bed. Lola is already asleep next to me. I think she gave up on her canned food treat for the night. I will still give it to her tho.
