Just a note to agree how beautiful your jewelry is Ann and to also agree you need to raise your prices. I wish I knew how to find specific peoples art on Etsy!

Tina, did you ever see the BBC program on the Secret Lives of the Cat? It was several years ago, but basically a small English town allowed researchers to put trackers and some cameras on most of the cats in town. Since the Brits generally let their cats run free it was very interesting to see what cats were really up to.

Some cats did a lot of wandering and others stayed closer to home. It was discovered that some of the homebody cats were actually sticking around home to protect their territory from wandering cats from other areas.

I think it was part of that same study, but one cat left home and only very seldom stopped by to visit. It turned out that one of the neighbor men had been giving him better food, so he pretty much moved in. Also, the home he left had a lot of other animals, and this new home had none except him, so apparently, he preferred being an only cat. Lots more attention and lap time, with no other cats or dogs to compete with. Owners were a bit insulted, but decided to live with situation.

Judy, that show sounds like something I'd watch. I enjoy shows from NPR & the BBC. I also like watching world news from other sources/countries just to get another look at things. I get sick of hearing the same old things on local channels.

I should be posting more come summertime. Last week I didn't have Jordi & I found I really missed him. In just a few weeks I won't have him on a regular basis anymore so while I welcome the freedom, I realize I'm going to be bored without him and no classes in the summer. Gotta figure out something to fill my time. If my car wasn't 15 years old & gas was cheaper I'd hit the road to KS or WA but it is what it is.

Lyn, sorry about your daughter's problem with the truck - but glad you had them with you an extra night. I think we need to organize a GTG at your place sometime... anyone up for that? lunch at Lyn's? Let us know when you're up for that. It could be fun.

I agree how wonderful this group is - when I was on my first trip with my traveling' van, I had problems with the generator & you gals nailed it! Plus your responses came quickly.

Well,I'm off to get things ready for my little buddy in the morning. :D
Later....

I finally did it .... I made the strawberry muffins I've been going to make for weeks now... really moist good flavor... need to remember to put them away
and I made the potato soup tonight as well... mom rarely says if she likes anything,.. she usually will eat most of what I put in front of her but I also don't put stuff I know she won't eat like forget broccoli she thinks its been over used (I miss it :( ) she won't eat beans except green beans... she has favorites shrimp is a big one favors meat over most anything but if chips are on the plate she will finish them off even if she ends up leaving some of the meat because she is full... today has been a different one didn't even turn the tv on until 3 that rarely happens...
and I did nothing I planned on doing really need to wash some clothes tomorrow...
that is too bad that Wanda wondered ... hope she realizes that she is missing home and find you again...
beautiful jewelry Anne several years ago we had lots of gals at the gtg group of us went looking at some stuff one day and I saw this necklace for for lack of a better word spoke to me I really liked it but knew that we really couldn't afford it... but one pretty much talked my husband into getting it for me of course for my birthday which is around the time of the gtg... I still love that necklace... :) I have to agree Anne you can charge more..
starting my "going to the city" list it's going to be long.... low on so many things...
started my afghan all over again.... somehow I miss counted by lots maybe 10 stitches can't remember right now... for that many I just didn't have enough of yarn left at the end of the row to go that many stitches I'd only done 4 rows so not a big loss... more in time than anything
you all have a great day

I didn't get around to reading or posting yesterday so it has taken awhile to read all of yesterday's and today's posts! :o

I worked at the other shop today. For the first time, it wasn't very busy but they are in an area with lots of resorts with snowbirds and they are all pretty much gone now so not as many customers now. It was actually nice to sit for awhile in between customers. When I work there, I usually end up with several who want to come see me at my regular shop for their next haircut. 3 of them said that today. One of them said I am amazingly detailed with my work.

After work, I stopped to pick up some more shredded chicken. There is only one store I can find it that isn't full of stuff on it (herbs, spices, etc) because I give it to Lola and she can't eat that stuff. This one store just has plain chicken pieces. They also had an ad for white kernal sweet corn but what little they had was old, dried up and looked like feed corn. It is a high-end store too. Was very surprised and disappointed. WM has better looking corn than that! I did notice that the farm stand near my house now has fresh sweet corn so will probably stop there tomorrow to pick some up.

I have tomorrow off. Haven't decided what is on the list of things to do yet. Lots of possibilities tho. I do have a haircut to do at 6pm. Hopefully, I won't forget! I should also get my car washed. It is filthy and I already paid for a carwash with my last gas fill-up.

Was hot today, near 100* with no wind. Not too bad tonight tho as far as temps. I have my bedroom window open and it feels good.

The Coachella Festival is over now but next weekend is the Stagecoach Music Festival with all the big named country entertainers. So will probably be seeing a lot of cowboy hats and boots in town (and at WM). Indio is known as the City of Festivals! This town is also where the county fair is always held but that is no longer gonna happen. Not enough people go to it anymore (I heard it was pretty lame) so they have discontinued it. That also included the International Date Festival, but that is now it's own separate festival called the Date Harvest Festival in a different location and will be in the fall when they are done with the harvest. We have lots of date farms out here. They grow very well in this climate.

Sandi, I too, miss your paintings! Please keep sharing! BJ, you need to get busy with your watercolors! Artwork is good for the soul! :D

Time for PJ's and bed. Lola is already asleep next to me. I think she gave up on her canned food treat for the night. I will still give it to her tho.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
