Afternoon All, sorry for the lateness. It’s a little disheartening at the low activity on this site. Not much incentive to post. It has to be boring to read of my same activities posted. Thanks to the few regulars that keeps us going. Be save

Good morning Shirl. We are having a super weather weekend. Not too hot, no wind, and sunny. I am repotting my Christmas cactus that bloomed at Thanksgiving.....who knew. Anyway it was very pretty but it is time to repot it. Also have an African Violet that is outgrowing its house too so I need to buy a decorative pot. Will look at some of the thrift stores, they usually have something that will work.

I dont have much news either but I try to post a few lines. I dont understand why people cant just post a good morning, I'm doing such and such today....end of story if they want. I can see who reads and never posts. I dont always post in the morning but try to hit the afternoon as I am busy in the mornings sometimes. And once I get on that dang computer I have to tear myself away. I appreciate your posts Shirl. I am always interested in what is going on in everyones corner of the world.

Finished a late breakfast, kitchen cleaned up, now on to the potting soil.

Beth when I was looking at our list of members, we have over 1900 But so many have not posted for MANY years. Also several have passed. Is there any reason to keep all those members on our list. I am just curious.

Not much going on here. I probably should load the mower and go mow in Maurice but don't want to. There isn't much of a chance of rain for the next 5 days so guess I can wait. It's windy again so can't spray the weeds. I am really tired of all the wind. The burn cage is almost full but I'm afraid to burn it. It's going to take me a week to get over my trip. I have another trip scheduled to Texas in 2 weeks and I'm really gun shy about going now. I have lost one set of my camper keys. I can lose things so fast.

The spray wand on my hose broke yesterday and I almost threw it away. When I really looked at it the cut off attachment was what broke. I have a plastic box I have put all the water parts in so had another cut off. I put white tape on the threads so maybe it will be easier to take apart.

Four of the Daffodil bulbs I planted are blooming. I planted them around the big oak tree so hope they spread.

Granddaughter's birthday today so son picking me up. This campground has only 20 amps, so I made the mistake of turning the AC and microwave on at same time. Had to reset fuses including one on hookup, so need to remember in future.

Made reservations last night for Kodachrome SP in Utah and was surprised at how many electric and even full hookup spaces were still available for August. No cell service there, but I was there for one night a couple of years ago and it is gorgeous! Yet Bryce is not very far away, and it is always packed. Nice thing is that now that I am not teaching, I don't need cell or internet service as often.

I agree that some of the members who have not posted in ??? years need to be deleted. Maybe 4-5 years to start?

Good afternoon all. I tried a couple of times to get a post started but between the phone and the dog, it just didn’t happen! My daughter in law’s father passed away last evening. It wasn’t unexpected but still tough for the family and he will be missed. Aprils haven’t been kind to my family and extended family. Martha, not a great way to start and camping weekend. Hope the problem is fixed now. And Judy, hoping this water pump lasts. You’ve had a time with them. Today is a beautiful day with temps in the 80’s. I even managed to get my backyard mowed! Was starting to think about goats again! Still so much to do out there but a bit at a time! I had to have a mole removed from my lower leg the other day and after I mowed I could really feel the sutures tugging so decided enough was enough. I sure don’t want the wound to split open! It definitely seems to be in a bad spot and I was warned to take it easy on it for several days. Guess I should listen! :). Tomorrow is car inspection and then in May Lola needs to have an inspection. An annual thing in PA. I think my daffodils are about done. Between the snow the first of last week and the winds they aren’t looking good! So that’s about all the rambling I can do for now. Need to get to the store and pick up a few things I’m out of and maybe try to get Rascal out for a little walk. I took him off the pain med and he seems to actually be doing a bit better. At least he’s a little steadier on his feet and more alert. So maybe we have a bit more time. Hope you all have a great week and stay safe!

Good morning!

Sun with some clouds and looks like a little breeze. Martha, I think people in a lot of places are tired of the wind - not that it has been all that bad here. Suppose to be 66 so thinking a ride is in order before things change.

The talk about using phone for travel routes - I've used Waze and my GPS at the same time. Always interesting to see how often they don't agree! Now have navigation in the Subaru so I can compare all 3! The one in the car couldn't find the police station in Ellensburg when I put the address in. Kids were with me and finally used a phone! We were meeting the guy there with the car they bought.

And now it's afternoon. :D

Karen, I used to delete members who never have posted. I got lazy. You want a go at it some days you're bored?

Nothing new here. Except it's so dang cold. Wouldn't be so bad if the wind would let up. I know this too shall pass but I want it passed lol

I almost never have bread anymore. I see that'll change this summer. The guests skip the ends and that's my favorite. So the other day I used a wheat end with my egg salad. I just saved another wheat end from going in the garbage, toasted it and put peanut butter on it for my lunch.

Dang, I got a work call and Martha had posted. I get back and think there are 3 more posts! Back later to read them all.

Good Afternoon, barely. Beautiful day here and the “youngsters “ are out at the pool in their bikinis. I am really getting to be an ole fussy sudsy as I am still shocked by the brevity.
My daughter and her BF left Friday for NH. I was very sad. Then, lo and behold, their truck stopped running. A bran new $100,000 truck. Luckily they were on the road only an hour. Had to call two tow trucks. One for their truck and one for the uhaul they were towing. The text messages started flying between the family members who wanted to help them. I, of course, without a car, sat home feeling helpless reading all the texts.
End result, they bought another truck on Saturday ( lost $12,000 on deal ) spent Friday night with a nephew, Saturday night with me, and. left on their trip this morning. I felt so bad for them. They have received the name of a lawyer and are going to persue attempting to get some $$$ back.
All the anger I was feeling, disappeared when they were here at the condo. I will miss my daughter tremendously, but am hoping she will be happy in NH.
As far as posting more often, I just don’t have anything interesting to write about. If anyone cares, my grandson and his family are in Hawaii.
I went out on my scooter and bought breakfast this morning. Our womens proffesional soccer team played a good game last night and tied 1 to 1. I have a couple of softball games to watch today. I don’t garden nor do I cook.

Hi ladies!

I am definitely one of the ones that posts rarely and I have no excuse. I do check in daily and read to see what all of you are doing and it seems like I have nothing of interest to say. Lots of folks here in the resort have left but lots have stayed because of the high fuel prices, including us. I will miss my MD church and also miss MD's steamed crabs, which we usually got every 7 - 10 days. You all probably got tired of me posting about getting another half bushel of crabs to eat, pick and make crab cakes. That won't happen this summer. But we did find a seafood store in Leesburg, more than 30 minutes from here, that has almost good seafood. So we bought 2 pounds of lump crab meat yesterday and they will turn into crab cakes for the meal we will prepare tomorrow to share with the couple we followed around the country almost 3 years ago! Wow, time has flown by! We'll also make a sausage dip, mac & cheese and green bean casserole. The dessert is almost done. I'm pooped and still need to make a cheesy broccoli and ham casserole for our dinner tonight. I almost forgot to tell you that the motorhome and our car are now tagged in FL! There is an issue on the title of the truck, so we are working on that to get it tagged in FL as well, but it will take some doing.

Beth, I hope it warms up for you. Martha, I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you had on the road. That was a long time to sit and wait for help. Judy, I', so glad to hear you finally got your water pump working. Karen, I have some potting soil if you need any. Shirl, I always look forward to your posts, and I promise to make a bigger effort at posting, even if it's nothing important. Velda, Barbie & Sheila, I look forward to your late night posts, since we're on opposite ends of the country. BJ, how is Pippa? Cheryl, where are you? It's so good seeing you on the road again! Sharon, I hope Lola's inspection goes well. Lyn, so sorry to hear about the breakdown on the road and hope the rest of the trip will be smoother. Okay, who did I forget?

I’m here every day reading what all of you are doing, cooking, gardening etc. However, my life consists of just about nothing except for a couple dog walks each day. I haven’t cooked for so long I don’t think I could reproduce any of the recipes I made while married and with my kids. I thought about making pupusas (El Salvador) yesterday, but for one person who eats very little, I decided it wasn’t worth the trouble. I wish my daughter and grandkids lived closer because there’s always something going on there. It was fun for a time when I was posting my paintings, but I didn’t think I should wear everyone out by posting new ones so frequently.

Sorry my life is so boring I have little to contribute here, but I’m here every day enjoying your posts and what’s going on in your lives.

It was a long cold winter and spring still refuses to come. Hi will be in the 30's today and all this week.. Wind s brutal. I have spent the time these past two winters piecing a quilt for each of us. Now to do the quilting. Also decided to learn weaving and bought a table top loom. I cannot draw but decided I should learn to sketch and paint. Watching you tube videos. So far I am doing poor to middling work. I read everyday. Sometimes I write and loose the post :o . All for now

Lyn, I feel for your daughter and BF after my break down. I have not been hearing good reports on new trucks. There are recalls and they can't get the parts. It makes me nervous that almost no shop wants to work on the engine in my motorhome.

Irmi, I hope you didn't have to take out a loan to buy lump crab meat. I haven't looked at it lately but it was over $25 a pound here.

Sandi, I don't think anyone gets tired of seeing your paintings.

I need to go walk. I keep putting it off and it gets later and later.

Long day and the wind never stoped! What is it with the wind now, we used to never have so many windy days.
Martha so glad if you had to have trouble you were across that bridge!! Isn't there some other part that usually causes the alternator to go out or goes out at the same time? Irmi I'd like to come to dinner when you are having crab. I don't think I've ever had fresh. Sandi I too would love seeing more of your paintings. One of these days I'll get inspired to get my watercolors out again. I taught myself to paint with watercolors when I worked in the office at the Art Department at the University here. I told my DH one day I wanted to try it. He gave me a kids set of watercolors, some paper and old brushes. I heard one of the other professors who was visiting us one evening admire them and she asked if they were one of the other Professors work. I heard him whisper, "no, they are hers". I didn't let on like I heard them but I entered the next juried show at the Museum and my painting was accepted. Lynn sorry to hear about your daughters bad luck with their truck.

BJ, sounds like you should definitely get those paints out and then post some of your paintings here. Sounds like you definitely have a lot of artistic talent. I’m sure everyone would love to see them.
