Wednesday April 13

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wednesday April 13

Morning All. Sunny and 57°and another nice day. Put the the small solar lamp on the balcony table last night, looked cute. Won’t do that again. It lit up the bedroom. Could have shut the blind but need the morning light to get me up and moving. My very frugal daughter had a fence installed for her small energetic Yorkie. I texted asking if he was tearing around the yard like a crazy little puppy. She said no, he was sitting beside her. Lol. Guess all that freedom and space is scary for a little guy. Planing a fun time shopping for a tomato plant today. It’s too early to plant but they sell quickly. Will enjoy walking through the green houses with all the flowers. Hoping for warmer weather to those in the north west. Be safe

Morning Shirlv, always welcoming in the morning to know what you might be up to. And as many of us appreciate, that we get another day to explore possibilities big or small.

Spend yesterday driving up to Salt Lick State Park with some salad lunches to share an afternoon with Judy. It was a nice to compare stories of travels, getting older and plans for the future adventures. No pictures to share.

I was way too lazy to throw a few things into the RoadTrek and drive up for a night and with the rain today I think it was a decent decision even if it was made out of laziness. Driving back in the late afternoon, I stopped by my friend Cindy's place in Columbus for a quick visit and to break up the drive home.

All is well here. I am planning a trip to the laundromat so that I can do several loads of clothes at once while reading a book instead of the spending the next day and a half running up and down basement stairs. It is the multiple comforters and bed and daybed covers that convinced me. They generally do much better in commercial machines. I assured Lark that no dog's name would be mentioned.....

It was great to visit with TIna yesterday. Next time, I will plan better and find a campground closer to her part of Ohio. I am just killing time here at Salt Fork, while doing some big reorganizing of things, printing out things for my upcoming trip, and doing some tasks like submitting my Ohio local taxes and some POA work for my aunt. I will drive to my son's house tomorrow and drop in to pick up my mail and packages, say Hi to the kids when they get home from school, and then head to my campground. Will have lots of visiting time this weekend, but next week is full of dentist and doctor appointments.

One of the things I had been working on a couple of months ago and finally finished is a separate blog for my trip to the UK. I'm leaving Ohio on May 22 and returning on June 28, so it will be a long trip, but I have all hotels reserved and everything plotted out in terms of what I want to visit in each town. It's a lot of work to plan a trip, but I know mostly where I want to go and don't like tours to make decisions for me.

Anyway, I have started posting on the new blog about planning and packing, so if you are interested, you can click on the link below my signature.

It was a beautiful white here this morning with 1 1/2 to 2 inches of snow, but it is starting to melt. May be more coming.

Judy, trip planning is work, but part of the fun. The Iceland-Ireland trip has been planned by a friend's daughter for the days before and after the Ireland tour. She and the tour guide have provided good information so I can look at what we will be seeing. Good you and Tina could gtg!

Got power adapter for smart watch and now phone has been updated and watch is being updated. I may get it working yet!

Monica and I had dinner together last night - little place has good tacos and saved me some calories with no sour cream. :)

Finally going to get to the grocery store!

I woke up to 12 degrees for my walk with Ty. Tonight shouldn't be that cold. I certainly hope I'm right. The roads were good over the pass. Actually a little slower going coming back over on the return as the sun was melting some of the snow slowly onto the road. But that's such a beautiful drive that I just slowed for the wet, possibly icy patches.

I always love hearing about gtgs, short or long. And I agree that good planning takes time but is enjoyable itself. And you make sure to go and see what's important to you. It's one reason I have no interest in most RV caravan trips. Judy, I will definitely follow your blog on this adventure.

other than trimming the fringe on the crocheted afghan it's done!!! unfortunately I don't have the yarn to start the next one... have a hair appointment on the 30th so will get to JoAnn's then I might have enough to start the border but then no more so think I will work on the almost completed Swedish Weave the one you all have seen a picture of... still need to do the finishing work so hopefully I can finish it... worked on the current one after I started the diamonds got one row done counted down to where I needed to start the new row and visually it just wasn't working... so called my friend who taught me how to do the Swedish Weave and sent a bunch of pictures...she kept saying you are doing it right and I kept saying something is wrong it won't work I finally was ready to give up and try a little bit when she said oops I see it now yep I was wrong and right  it felt like we were both talking a different language and couldn't communicate after looking at the almost finished one was pretty sure what the problem was it was just trying to explain myself in terms that we both understand... so tomorrow I need to take out a row.... have mom's appointment for tomorrow when I told her she grumbled said I could take it I replied back I'm not the one with a UTI might take her afterwards and go through DQ and get a cone...
had left over's tonight she had ham and I nuked a baked potato and I had rice and pepper steak made a small amount of cole slaw and corn ... didn't put any thing back in fridge so a win win
was going to call about the error I made on my indexing but the computer was dead as a door nail I guess I hadn't fully turned it off since I run the cord across the floor I unplug it so it was totally dead and I wanted to run it with out the cord... so still need to do that hopefully tomorrow
that was neat that you and Judy were able to get together Tina...
it was way cold today felt like 18 according to the phone...
and did go and review my taxes get 120 back better than paying for sure....
you all have a great day
