Sunday April 3

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday April 3

Postby Shirlv » Sun Apr 03, 2022 10:35 am

Morning All, bright sunny morning.. Going to be a lazy Sunday. Having leftover chicken fried rice for dinner. Recipe using brown rice, mushrooms and lots of veggies. Yesterday went to daughters for a piece of scrape lumber to make a shelf in guest room. Have been accumulating houseplants so needed a sunny south facing window for some. When Marylands high humidity moves in this summer I will be indoors but will have an inside garden. Have learned a lot about tomato plants over the winter, thanks YouTube. Learned I can prune a monster plant if needed and how to make a unique tomato cage for a container plant. Sheila, I almost lost the pot of tulip bulbs because original article didn’t say I had to water the pot. After the tulips bloom they will be planted in #2 daughters yard. Be safe

Wow! Quiet on here today! :o

Just got home from work a little bit ago. I wanted to pick up some stuff at WM but my feet hurt too much so I just came straight home instead. Was pretty steady all day so I didn't get a chance to sit down much. One more day of work and then off for 4 days! Yay!

Shirl, it will be nice to have indoor plants this summer. I have never done well with plants inside, or out. I am amazed that my tomato plants are still alive! There are quite a few tomatoes on them but still green (cherry tomatoes). Strawberry plant is still alive but not many berries or blossoms on it now. :(

Have a nice evening!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I should get some indoor plants. They are good for our health. But my killing them doesn't do me or them any good. I have one cactus that was given to me about 4 years ago. It's grown very tall but just looks like a skinny stalk lol. But it survives living with me.

Was teaching myself the computer system here this afternoon but couldn't get the password I had to work. Turns out it was changed. So the woman who works the RV park office gave me her new one. Oops, we have different passwords for the different computers. Got myself locked out. Got what my password was supposed to be from the owners and for security reasons I still couldn't get in without changing three password. So I did that then let then know the change. Geez. Lol. After all that I think it seems pretty simple. Except it takes forever to print from it. Maybe that's just today, I hope.

Beth,
You are so right about plants being good for our health.

Balcony Garden Web, on their website , has an article about “7 Great Snake Plant benefits proven in research and Studies”

Very interesting! It says they are oxygen producing and absorb CO2 at night.
Very low maintenance, actually thriving on neglect.

I remember seeing them in my grandmothers house growing in coffee cans!
That got me to thinking I should pick up a couple for myself because this is the second time I came across this kind of info about Snake plants.

Karen, that is one plant I used to be able to keep successfully. Thanks for reminding me. I might have to make room for one.

Beth, computers can be so aggravating. I have been fighting with my HP computer that I take camping all day. I haven't used it in months and now it's acting crazy. A message came up and said that parts for this computer might not be available. All I wanted to do was update my TomTom GPS. The TomTom site doesn't work on an apple computer. When I would open it on the HP a message would come up saying that it was downloading an update. It was freezing the computer and the only way I could get out of the site was to restart the computer. If I knew how I would uninstall the site but don't know how. It doesn't seem like this computer is all that old.

Last night I went to eat out with the ladies that are camping in Abbeville.

I am tired. I finally got my motorhome washed this afternoon. I hope I don't ever pass a Blue Beacon truck wash and not stop. Then I had to fight with the Directv receiver to get it to work in the motorhome. Since I will be in New Orleans I could get by without Direct. All I have to do in the morning is clean the cat boxes and fill their food bowls and water bowls and load my food. I don't trust the refrigerator in the motorhome so I want to be there to watch it.
