BJ, I think I have taken that product before. I will order it again. I got a voice message from my doctor today. Will call back tomorrow.

I have taken Zocor for about ten years and have not had any problems. I am going to ask my new internist when I see her in late April to review all of my medications, but I looked at the Zocor bad side effects and have not had any of them.

My HDL was very high compared to LDL for quite many years, but then it switched. My doctor from the U of Michigan prescribed the Zocor, and one very good effect was that it drastically dropped my cholesterol--Last time it was checked my total cholesterol was 138. Triglicerides were 130, LDL was 66, and HDL was 46. Also, I had a cat scan with contrast about two years ago and was told by doctor that my veins and arteries were "squeaky clean." (His words, not mine.) Got same results 6 months later by another doctor. Was told that I had a 5% chance of stroke or heart attack over next 5 years. (I have never had a heart attack or even chest pain.)

I did just look up side effects and plan to keep an eye out for them. Maybe I will ask to lower dose from the 20 mg I am taking.

Really windy here, so I closed my back slide because the wind is coming from that direction.

The line of storms came through here about 4:00 this afternoon. We got an inch of rain in about an hour. I haven't heard if there were any tornados.

I have an appointment to get my hair cut tomorrow. I have been cutting on it and it's just wild again. The lady that cuts my hair probably wonders what I do to it.

I have a bite on my arm that is itching a lot. I haven't seen any mosquitos but something got me. I need to get the cans of flying insect spray out. The wasps are busy building nests. Sugar tries to catch the wood bees. I hope she doesn't bite a wasp by mistake.

Judi that really sounds like a good care center... they have changed so much over the years.. so needed and so good... it' does sound like a good place to be if you need that type of care...it's just too bad that she doesn't understand better it hurts even if you understand that it's not really your aunt yelling at you but some body that doesn't remember that she loves you and just what she thinks you are doing to her not for her...
I've not had blood work for so long have no idea what my counts are it's probably scary
was looking through yahoo and they had a picture of a bird that normally isn't in NC it was a mountain blue bird... it's really off it's route... such a beautiful bird
I delete a lot of e-mail and spam gets a lot of them I never look at that part... I did get one shortly after my dd ordered the stand for me... from amazon I called and told them what the front said was told don't open it.. I did get the load out of the dryer decided that I wasn't going to run sheets will do them whenever as they weren't any being used just been hanging around have been since I moved in just been ignoring it...
picked up my Swedish Weave thought I'd made an error so took it all out now I'm not so sure I hate it when I do that!!!
Irmi would you put more details in recipes on the Jalapino popper's? I really like them this sounds like a good recipe ...
Hope you won't need to head to the old house Martha do the cats follow you?? I saw a figurine and when I saw it thought I know someone that needs to go to but then couldn't think of who it would be it would be you... it was cute...
I heated up the coconut shrimp in the air fryer ... was good but wish I'd preheated it first it wasn't as hot as I was expecting and think that is because I didn't reheat it and the shrimp was frozen...
think I am going to go get me a cup of hot chocolate...
when mom does things a bit different it makes me wonder.... she has a quilt that she has over her all the time unless she isn't in her chair... at night she puts a couple of throws over her as well... when she gets up for breakfast and folds the throws and put them on the couch today she didn't I don't know if she is just cold today which it is warmer than most days or just down and it's just too much of an effort...I try to let her do what she can and only yell when she is on the step stool :o I'm sure if other things came up that I deem unsafe I'll yell then too...
off to get the hot chocolate
have a good day

Anne, I have an older HP computer that is still running on windows 8.7. How can I tell if I can hook up an external monitor to it. Doing all this genealogy work I would rather have a bigger screen.

Sue:

The way you can tell if you might be able to hook up an external monitor is if your computer has a port for a monitor (a place where you can plug a monitor into your computer). If it has a port, you will need to determine if the size of the port is compatible with size of the monitor's plug (be sure that the plug will fit into the port). You will also need to be sure that you are able to install on your computer any software needed to "drive" the external monitor (make the monitor work with your computer). A newer monitor might not work on an older computer because of software incompatibilities.

Anne, I have Apple products but when I wanted a much larger screen for my laptop at home I simply bought a TV and connected with a HDMI between TV and computer. Is that an option for older computers?

Good morning, Tina. You don't say how old your laptop is, but Apple products are generally a whole new ball game (often, Apple products offer something "new", technology-wise, PC products will then struggle to play "catch-up").

From what I am reading, HDMI ports on computers were not introduced as a "standard" feature until about 2012 - 2013. I don't know what model HP Sue has, but the Windows 8.1 (yes, Sue states that her computer is 8.7, but I am too lazy to search too much for 8.7 info) was released about 2013, so don't know if Sue's machine might have an HDMI port - plus, Microsoft will end support for 8.1 next year (2023).

I have a Chromebook and it works well for me. I also don't have to worry about viruses. I have never had a problem and have had this for several years (my second one). I do have to watch for the scam posts. I noticed that any posts that have unusual/wrong spellings, cAPitaL leTTers where they don't belong, or sy%mbo#ls or num4bers mixed in, are for sure scam posts. Even on Craigs List, there are ads that have those too. Watch out for those.

There are so many varieties of computer out there that, I think, each person needs to choose for themselves the computer and it's features (and price point) that best suits their individual needs.

Interesting article Chromebook vs. Windows laptops:

Barbie, you are correct. A Chromebook does not seem to be susceptible to the same kind of issues that affect Windows machines.
