Monday March 21

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday March 21

Morning All, sunny and 64° predicted. Sheila, sorry for your sad news. Nothing new here. Did clean balcony and arrange for the maintenance visit. The battery life of my Apple products was awful after last update. I deleted everything I could find pertains to tracking etc and it has improved. I posted a picture yesterday so do not know if the update improved that process. Just household chores. Be safe

Good morning Shirl, and all who follow. It's a bright, sunny 64° here. Not even a trace of rain from predicted weekends storm.
Sheila, I too am so sorry for your brothers illness. Prayers for you and family, ESP your Mom.
No set plans here, other than continuing to whittle away at the to do list. My Rt shoulder continues with pain from my neck, an issue that started mid way through our CoVid illness. Will let chiropractor try again this week. Been using heat and Arnica, CBD, and homeopathics, which all help some. I can't take any anti-inflammatory drugs RX or OTC, as I get severe stomach pain since taking heavy dose years ago. So, I just hope each day it will start to improve and I do range of motion so it doesn't "freeze" up.
Safe travels , those who are traveling. Shirl, may your garden continue to bless you with joy.

Good morning,

Cloudy. :( I went to the garage to check and inflate Sling tires yesterday. Got chilled and that was it for me until I went to the kids' for dinner. It has been so good to catch up with them this weekend! Plus some chicken alfredo came home with me. :)

Forgot to post about the results of my daughter's swollen, painful cheek and gums. Dr. sent her for the CT scan that showed pieces of bone in her gums. Dr. and radiologist told her to go to E.N.T. specialist. She made the appointment and he postponed the visit. That weekend she had the worst case yet so went to the ER where 2 doctors saw the scan and could determine nothing. She finally got to the specialist. He looked at the scan, asked why she was there because she has a tooth decaying! Now why couldn't the other 4 see that?

Sheila, it always so sad when parents outlive their children. Ouch on the shoulder, Velda. My rotator cuff seems to have healed finally. No basketball today so guess I'll have to accomplish something. :)

I have a good one on me. Saturday I noticed that the Siamese cat that showed up here in November, 2020 that I named Lady had a swollen face. This morning I brought her to the vet. Turns out her is a him. He's a neutered male that the vet named Charlie. He had to have been someone's pet at one time but doesn't have a chip.

The Vice President, Kamala Harris, is in Sunset, Louisiana. She is here to talk about rural broad band internet. I don't know why she is in Sunset because I wouldn't call it very rural. Sunset is right beside Lafayette. I would sure like to have free internet.

I started on my taxes yesterday. It looks like I have all the papers but need to get it better organized. I went by the office store in Abbeville, that has been here forever, to get some accounting paper. They don't have any. Thank goodness Walmart had 6 tablets. It's not exactly what I wanted but it will work.

Anita, no basketball, yay from me. lol I just wish there was something I wanted to watch on TV. I can't tell you how many times they have read x-rays wrong for us and my sister.

It seems like there was something else I wanted in town. Now that I'm home it will probably come to me.

It was a smart decision to delay leaving from today. Winds have been 35 to 40 with gusts to and above 65 since 9 or so this morning. And the wind advisory (as well as fire advisory) is in effect until 8 pm. So I saved laundry for today and it's now done. I'd love to dump a final time but am going to wait until it seems a little less windy, after dinner. I don't want to have that blowing around. Worse case I'll save it till morning.

Anita, does she have to go back to the original dentist now to have the tooth taken care of? And no, I don't understand how so many can not see that.

Velda, it's a good thing I can take over the counter pain killers. Otherwise the doctors might really have to help with my sinus problems and headaches. When I really can't handle it with otc, they prescribe 5 days to a weeks worth of steroids. I hate taking them but it helps for a short time. So I bought some in Mexico and will save myself a doctor's visit next time.

Good Morning, I loved “Call The Midwife “, and found all the books in the library to read also. For those of you looking for a good TV show, check out Doc Martin.
I too cannot give blood. The last time I donated, they found antibiodies of hepatitis B. That means I had hep B and didn’t even know it!
Another of my grand sons got Covid.
So far, I am good. Lyn

Beth, I thought of you this morning when seeing the weather. Glad you decided to stay put. Due to the recent move and then Covid, daughter hasn't established a dentist over here, but she will now! I have been in the same boat but have an appointment Wednesday.

Lyn, how lucky you didn't know you had Hep B - I guess. No one else in the county had it when I did (not even sure if it was A or B). Have always thought I might have contracted it at the dentist office. I was so sick and by the time anyone figured out it wasn't the flu, I was over the worst but put in isolation in the hospital for several days. The doctor I worked part time for said it was the flu, but my dad noticed my yellow eyes at Sunday morning breakfast and the family doctor got a call.

Martha, I was walking in the building with groceries when I remembered I forgot yogurt for smoothies! That can be a walk across the street to the store tomorrow. :) We now have to provide our own bags or pay 8 cents for each one we use - of course I left the bags in the car! Just loaded everything back into the cart until I got to the car.

Was a fairly quiet day today until the end of the day. Got everything done and was ready to leave and started to feel a little nauseous and light headed. I headed home fast. Have been laying on my bed for an hour and still feel queasy. Not sure what brought that on. Hope I feel better in the morning. I don't want to miss the last day of the putters league. Also have 2 haircuts scheduled after that.

It is still quite windy around here. Not as much dust blowing around tho.

Just gonna lay low tonight and go to bed early. Think I will try to eat something light for dinner.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

sounds like a very good move Beth... hopefully it will be a better travel day tomorrow... and Barbie hopefully you are feeling better...
it's amazing what dr's can miss and you wonder how and why... here is hoping your dr can find a dentist and get it taken care of ...
I got a phone call from one of my dd's this morning like before 8 she is lucky I even heard the phone ring anyway she told me that my brother had passed away about 6:30 AM guess she had gone to see him on Sunday and told them that we were coming over so my niece let her know about 5 not to let us come as they thought from the way he sounded it would be too late.. I told my dd that I was going to wait until she naturally woke up so then I set about calling my siblings knew I would wake up my sister as she is in Pacific time and is as late a sleeper as I am my brother I thought would be up it went directly to voice mail and my other brother didn't answer thought he was on the road as he is heading to Iowa to buy horses... so talked with sister got a call from daughter don't tell grandma we are coming over to be with you then talked with brother who said he would call other brother... and then he called back brother will be here about 10 to be with mom wow and would you believe both groups got here at the same time... my brother was pulling this huge horse trailer with sleeping quarter's taking it to Utah and picking up a stock trailer... my brother is one of few words but he was so calm and loving and as he told his mom that another of her children had returned home... I am so glad that he was here as well as the girls brother only stayed a few moments as he had to be on the road so he can be back in time for the funeral it was good to have the girls with us as they added something to a all to quite house...other than the tv being turned up too high
they looked at pictures as we age we forget what one looked like younger .... he was a good looking kid  and I could see some of my grandson's in him one picture of the 6 of us dd's sent to a family text that we keep going and my youngest commented back I can so see "T" in mom I could see it as well never seen that before...
it's sad times but he had a good life very into his family even in Jan flew out to NJ to be with his grandson as he got his eagle....
we did get out and had some DQ it was free ice cream day!!!! so had a late lunch and ice cream cone...
you all have a great day
Beth drive safely you will get a laugh when I woke up to the phone I was dreaming of this Monk's cloth that wasn't being worked on

Sheila, I'm so sorry. I know it musty be painful for all of you. How wonderful though that so many came to be there with your mother.

Yes, it was the right decision and the wind advisory got extended until 2 am, so I'm going to sleep with them. At least I hope I'll be sleeping soon! And hopefully will wake up to it being calm. Usually I dump and disconnect the sewer the afternoon/evening before I travel. But I had no desire to do that in the wind. But doing that and unplugging is all that's left. Oh and hooking up the car. Some of the guys here intend to check my oil/fluids and tires in the morning. And if I hadn't already had food cooking my neighbors came by to invite me over for dinner. I thanked and declined, but went and visited for a bit.

Time to try to sleep and maybe get up at a decent time!
