I'm all settled in at Port Lavaca, actually closer to Magnolia Beach (I love that name!). It's still HOT here, about 95* but much cooler than Austin and a nice breeze. There is a great huge 5th wheel parked between me and my beach view though, I guess that's one for the downside of having a "B". Oh no worries, I plan to move to the beach at day light and not come back here until I need the electricity for AC tomorrow afternoon. I forgot half my stuff in the rush to get out the door, no PJs (and Walmart didn't have the current craze either!), no hair brush and no soap! Yikes, I better get myself organized if I want to hold my head up among the "women rvers"! Hope you are staying cooler where ever you are....
I wish I was staying cooler too, but unfortunately, it was like 108* today, yikes! so, needless to say, I'm jealous, would love to sit by the edge of the ocean in a cool breeze, I can think of it though
I used to drive through Port Lavaca everyday on my way to the South Texas Nuclear Project for work. Take some pics so I can see what's changed in the 11+- years since I've been there.
not sure what the temp is here but inside its 76 and its 8:00 PM and no the AC hasn't been running the door is open and the windows as well when we wake up we will have to turn on the heat. But then we are up in the far north as in ID sheila
You can boondock right on the beach there - so if you're up to that - get on over there - day and night - and you'll have no one in your way! One of my favorite places to boondock. Group of us were there this spring - and where were you then? hahahaha
Enjoy - the breeze on the gulf makes a big difference.

If there are tides remember Sparkle's adventure with the incoming tide. Something about opening your door and seeing water on your step unnerves me. But of course that would put you very close to the cool cool ocean water.
